That was very observant of Mugen to take note of Kyra's ability. Usually when she does things like this, Kyra would use lipstick to transcribe a circle that would dissapear into thin air when she was finished. This case she happened to forget to do so. Normally people would not pay much attention, assuming she would have used a spell or something. Or they were too used to that to pay much attention to it. The fact she's able to to that without the circle, a sacrifice had been made. A very guarded part of Kyra's past that had something to do with the way she looks at herself today.

Kyra nodded, her golden head understanding what he would have to say. Golden eyes trailing to the windows which he looked at. Stained glass windows, special windows. "You know? I never get tired of looking at them." She guestured towards one of which happened to tell the time and the season. "They are enchanted, their coloring shifts. That one tells the time, weather, seasons... When you spend alot of time indoors and unable to look outside it saves sanity. They should be due to change again come the morning."

One window currently had a woman dancing in the midst of fire, where another shown an avariel battling a dragon. A third one was starting to already fade into a random pattern, the magics deciding what they wanted to shift into next.

Kyra listened to Mugen as he talked about losing his home and if she knew of anything he might be able to do. "I can't promise anything, but I can ask if there are any openings." She thought of a couple possiblities, people that may need help or something like that. "It is time however for me to stop serving at the bar. I just need to wipe things down and after I leave it becomes a self serve bar." She was feeling lazy at the moment, taking her lipstick and drawing a quick circle, to use her ability rather than deal with finiding a clean cloth at this hour. When she was done it looked suitable for the moment.

"Do you need a room?" Kyra asked, unaware that this was perhaps the safest room for Mugen to be in. In a closet there was at least a couple pillows and a blanket, for if someone r

~The Dark Lords arms remained tightly wrapped around Fayte as he acknowledged the alerts coming from various parts of the castle and beyond...much had happened within the turning of the sun...much too much triggered by the deity's ultimate return. Carefully he rechecked the confinement of the newly changed lycan...giving a final boost to the magics holding him within the cage before returning the image of himself back to the original. What needed to be done would require his entire focus...leaving no room for a secondary self to be vulnerablly placed elsewhere.

Gently he began to whisper words of comfort...his hands soothing her hair before gathering his will. Carefully his mind began to stretch toward each member of the Empire...from the simplest servent to the Empress herself...from the demon's fighting in the hall...to the lycan in his cell...even to the other deity's wandering the grounds...all were touched in turn. With his mastery in psionics coupled with the godhood...Roan's will would assert itself in each individual...it would over ride any and all emotions felt at the time causing them to feel a heavy exhaustion that would require them to fall into a deep sleep.~

My beloved children...you have endured much this day...sleep. Sleep that you may regain your strength...that you may find your way in the darkness...that you may know that just as the day dawns anew so too does the understanding to all problems...

~Tenderly he would whisper to each as they began to find their slumber...altering his will that each could not resist but that they would not be overwhelmed. It was not until he was assured that all had fallen into peaceful slumber that the greater deity would begin to retract his mind from the individual...returning his full attentions back to Fayte.~

((OOC: Just a note that I have done this post to help end this day. It came to my attention that so much had happened within the day...lol...so I thought Roan could give a bit of a hand. Thus marks the end of this day...and with the waking of your character the new day begins...))

She felt as if she were in an opium haze, the time spent resting by the council chamber doors, were quiet for her. A time to think, a time to meditate, and relax mind, body, and soul that were at odds against each other. Exhausted she was though, and while she heard drifting sighs falling into slumber from the guards near her, and those whom passed her by without even a glance, she found herself unable to resist, the spell weaved to place slumber upon her.

Leaned against the wall, she tilted, and slid till her dark hair was framing her features, and partially curtaining the exotic design of her visage. Knees instinctively curled up against her chest, with feet tucked behind her, as she drew her pack sloe and hugged it against her chest and used part of it as a pillow. Slumber was long.. needed... so far she had traveled, so worn was her mind, but a message was spoken.. ~ thank you my God~ Before dreams lulled her ever deeper, and deeper, and deeper still...

Shallow breaths, as dreams weaved in and out, a slow steady rhythm of a heart to count the hours to which she slumbered. So fragile, soft, and vulnerable was she the desert rose whom drifted lost in Morpheus' world of memories, and fantasies. Whom whimpered in sleep, or let silent saline drops fall to soak the canvas of her pack. To what she dreamed? Only few would ever know, or were able to know. Yet she slept on.. even as the Castle, and the lands outside of it began to stir awake once again. She did not stir.. but slept on.. The truth of her exhaustion now seen. Just how much has she been through in the years of her absence? Enough that despite the noises of others waking up, she herself still slept so soundly... semi-peacefully?

Raven knew what he was afraid of, as he glanced towards the stairs leading to the chambers... Still, even though his face looked like a tired drain. Wanting to go to his room but at the same time... Chosing to put it off, Raven instead turned towards the bar area. It was early enough that likely everyone up there was still sleepig anyways. Because he wanted to not disturb anyone and maybe make a situation worse? His mind link was opened on his end so he would be a call away...

Coffee... Coffee and breakfast sounds good for a weary spirit. Raven trudged towards the bar, not really paying attention to the windows to see what they would look like. If they had changed or not. Towards the kitchen to help himself to coffee. Couple of well made bacon lettuce tomato buiscuits to break the hunger...

Then he went back to a table... Sitting alone in his thoughts for the moment with his breakfast... Calmly as if nothing were bothering him for the moment, meanwhile looking for people or cats that he would talk to. Yeah... He talks to cats... Where were the cats? They usually provided very good company.

Here a cowled head would bow while transparent lids would close bringing about a state of meditative slumber as the arrival of the new day was awaited.
From thoth's post in Council Chambers.....

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dreams catapulted from the deep recesses of her mind. Dreams of her years wandering, searching. The taverns, and the Inn's she had worked for in silent duty, to make a days pay for bread, and a roof over her head to slumber within when shifts were over. Towns who held very little to offer, names she recalled, but desired most to forget. Working until every bone and muscle ached, and she collapsed into fitful slumber because she felt little secured in these one room placings alone.

Men taunted and cajoled her for favors, but she resolutely refused them all, even going so far as to leave a place when amorous advances and her refusal sought to place her in danger. She would run and move on to the next settlement, or further beyond to a third settlement to place distance between she and the former. It hadn't been easy, many the nights were where she would go without roof, or sustenance. Only her faith to pull her through and move on when her body would have liked nothing more than to rest and lie still for eternity. These were the harsh realities that Ayla had faced in the years she had traveled.

Now though she slept, but it was a still a fitful slumber, as she recalled these realities one by one. It wasn't until a familiar scent tickled her nostrils and encompassed around her in spooning up against her back that peace settled upon her trembling curled up frame. A sigh left her as she snuggled back into this warmth she felt strongly behind her and murmured in sleep. " my love.."...

Time would pass, perhaps an hour, maybe a little more or a little less than that, when the sounds of voices came and went like the tides of the ocean around them. She heard the armor of the guards as they came to attention once again from their slumped rest against their pikes. One to even look and see her sleeping near his feet, so he was more mindful not to disturb or step upon her. Yet it was these sounds to draw her back to the now and out of dreams that had laid heavily upon her for far too long. She stirred by the movement of her cheek against her sack she held onto in her arms. Her breaths changing to deep wakefulness of her lungs. and senses alerting herself of movement near and far. She tensed as eyes opened groggily and unfocused to see where she was, or how she had gotten here.

Then she recalled and softened against the form spooned behind her. Turning her head back ,her shoulders shifting against a chest as she looked at the cowled head, and the lids which were closed. Uncluching her sack, she drew her lower arm across her collar bone and reached up to touch the angular planes of Thoth's cheek. Would he awaken from his meditation? If so what would she say to him? She didn't know but wanted not to move at this moment, but to turn into him further and drift back to sleep. Yet she had slumbered already, and there was just far too much noise to allow herself back into slumber. Even the footfall of a passing body made her tense slightly and flick her gaze to see whom it was, before she turned her gaze back to Thoth himself. " I fell asleep..." it sounded like an apology, even to her own ears.

Kyra had closed down the bar at a reasonable hour, sleep taking hold... It was a long day... Devlin and Coven and Rory... People coming and going as it were... Pantera of course kept her company and her mate pestered a couple of the drunken people after their shift was over...

After showing Mugen a place that he could sleep, Kyra wasn't able to turn out the lights just yet. She still had some work here to do in the means of getting ready for the next day. Attempts would be to work off the sudden fatigue, reaching down to grab a pail of water. Dunking her head into the water, Kyra shuddered as it seemed to barely work...

Oh well... She can get at least something done, not in the mood to have people chide her over not having everything done. Even though it was HER bar as far as Kyra seen things, she was the one working in the majority of the time. It was up to her to make sure what she needs is sent to Dev and such... Who in the name of hell is making that howling racket?

A yawn escaped as Kyra went to work, the blond scrubbing everything down and noting what was used and needed replaced. Not realizing she was only halfway paying attention, the parchment she had used had half coherent letters and the rest what looked like scribbles before her good hand dropped the quill. Unable to resist more and not having the energy to get to her bed, Kyra leaned against the wall, and fell into a sitting position on the floor...

Sliding into dreamland like the guards at the station... Whom Kyra would have thrown the bucket of water at if she was coherent enough to notice at the time.

Daylight... Sounds of the waking world shifting around Kyra... Groaning in irritation as nobody should be in her room at the moment! Golden hues flickered open as she found herself...staring...at...clean...dishes...

"Good morning bright eyes!" one of the maids said as they had placed a couple more glasses. Kyra, who just woke up, was realizing she was feeling pretty sore from sleeping on her prostetics badly. "Go sit and..." she growled, not really in a good mood quite yet. Questionable if she was feeling human or not.. "Ugh...Sorry..." No she wasn't, but at least it was polite to suggest that she might be...

Coffee... Kyra needed coffee... A couple pain killing herbs wouldn't hurt at all! Depending on her prostetics to take the weight, Kyra had uplifted herself, and hobbled towards the kitchen. Making it appearent she was grumpy. Heading towards that coffee pot that should be going this time of day, Kyra poured herself a cup. Then headed towards the breakfast foods...

After picking out some sausage, buiscuit and eggs, Kyra took herself outside, finding a tree to sit under...

Where were the cats? They usually were about this time of morning. He had some extra sausage that he usually gives to them. Yes, he spoils Lady Pantera and her mate, but they were not to be found at the moment... Maybe they were sleeping in today... Either way, he supposed that it was just fine, given he was still lingering with stress.

Yesterday was hell... Raven sighed as he took another sip of his coffee, feeling very alone at the moment. Blink of the grey eyes and keep this sediment to himself, being WHO was the one who decided to stick with being independent? Everyone he knew were busy taking care of their beloved. A glimpse of grandfather and then hell breaks loose. Whose fault was it really other than shit happens? Darren and Leo were the ones Raven decided to hold accountable for this mess. It isn't over either, Raven contemplated, as a foreboding omen came over him. Anyone who can look at signs would be saying the same thing.

This is just the beginnings of it. When it rains it pours. Maybe this will just get the hell out of the way instead of stringing them along for months on end wondering when the next attack would happen. Just pop up and go ZOMG!!! I am the Villian!!! In the cheesy and yet entertaining pose. Wicked fanged grin. You know, the illustrated dracula head, in a red outfit. Elbow pulled close to the body with the hands on both sides of the head. Digits streached out in the I am gonna get your my pretty, and your little human too! To only be trumped by the hero of the hour, whoever that may be. Sometimes it's the expected hero, other times it's the person you would have never seen coming. Hero gets the girl and we all live happily fucking after...

Raven chuckled for a moment over that imagery. Cheesy devil thing he had seen in some books, a memory of before... Did he see that back in the day when House Silvermane was more than a mere pile of rubble? The book he had in mind wasn't found in these shelves, the avariel remembered that much. He had inquired about it not too long ago. If it wasn't in Silvermane then it had to be before Raven found the house of mischief and decided that was a good spot to lurk.

It had to be there... He thinks he remembers trying to show Maybelle that one. He was pretty sure they were laughing about it... That could have been any book really. Or was it that he pulled off an imatation to make her laugh? His mind would then drift, remembering when he was only a shadow of who he was now. The avariel would then raise his left hand and examine it, sort of frowning and sort of smiling. Gods... That seemed so long ago. He used to able to walk through walls!

How he draws air into his lungs just like everyone else. Raven has to eat to sustain this body like everyone else. If you cut him he will bleed, just like everyone else. Then he smiled, a respite away from what was on his minds earlier, until reality pulled him away when his mind picked up on a sound.

Saffron... Running through the halls worked up in hysterics searching. Considering that he had picked up on her as if they were crashing into him, that told him who. Lovely... Seems it doesn't pour for him, he has a typhoon. He hasn't heard anything from or about how Maybelle is doing, or if she is awake, and Saffron's moving about as if the hounds of hell were after her. Raven sighed, getting up. He had been intending to go back to his room to change clothes and freshen up, as well as check on Maybelle. He's going to need to talk to someone about this one to help put it back in perspective.....

Once downstairs, Saffie saw those that had stirred and made quick work of ducking into an empty corridor hoping that the tug upon Raven's arm was enough to bring him with her . Once they were alone, she'd turn to face him-her solemn expression as steadfast as stone. Soprano tones sharp and direct as arrows seek to prove her seriousness. "Listen. I'm not interested in refined conversation at the moment, and if certain events have unfolded as I remember them, I am undoubtedly uninterested in airing out my families' laundry in polite society." Her piercing gaze served to mirror her tone as she looked up at him. "What I am interested in is answers, and it seems you have them. So talk!"

It was time for her to stop kidding herself and face the facts. Something had changed within her and somehow she felt the little girl slipping away. She would do what she had to in order to put her family back together, but she'd have to get some key information before she did. What her mind would give her was the frame of the puzzle-now she needed to fill it in. She knew that Maybelle was accounted for because Raven had mentioned her. The Information she sought was the whereabouts and condition of her brothers.

Her temperature rose a bit, making whatever trace of blood left upon her skin, underneath her garments a bit more detectable. Hopefully the layers of fabric would serve as to mute the metallic fragrance.

With every moment of silence that passed before his answer, her impatience would multiply until it fueled her temper. Hopefully his answer would be quick, to the point, and truthful.

The idea was simple. Go down for breakfast, use his psionics to ward off anyone who would overhear the answers Saffron sought. Meanwhile, Raven would seek to figure out a not so blunt way to give her the answers that he knew. If the avariel's luck were any different, it would have worked. He would have the time he needed to figure out how to say what needs to be said in a way that wouldn't be crass. However....

Raven had felt himself being lead to one of the remote hallways by his friend, and demanded the answers in a state of now. Lovely, being he was still at the state of pulling his hair as was truth a moment ago. While normally he would be more subtle, Raven's eyelid twitched, showing he was doing something. Sending out a compulsion to keep prying ears away from the scene, Raven agreed whole-heartedly about dirty laundry. As if he would desire to have everyone and their dog know what happened to Maybelle from him. Dragged nerves would sound as patient as they could, not believing that of all people he had the right to show any signs of needing solace.

"Saffron," the musical lit that was normally in his voice sounded fatigued and not so harmonious as usual. It reflected the not so desire to talk about this, preferring to not have to be in this position at all. "Don't worry, I have no desire as well to mention what happened to anyone that doesn't need to know. Nobody would have heard it except the two of us. I was planning on that after we got you some food. You need to eat because of what happened to you yesterday."

Raven tried his best to find a way to subtly say it on the fly, but the words kept coming and would not be stopped. Resentment and anger made it's ugly face in his tones as he confirmed that Darren did indeed try to do more harm than he did to her elder brother and mother. A breath was taken to clear that tone, sounding towards neutral mentioning that he ventured around the building in time to see Leo take a dive off the balcony. There was hints of a guilty conscious, even though it was not his fault that the lycan was strong enough to repel him when he took Darren. That was of course Leo had skewered his younger for what he had done, and tried to do to him, Saura, and Maybelle. (Likely would have done to Saffron as well, but that was more or less unknown and up to speculation.) Oh, lets not forget Leo got bitten and the father had walked him back to the castle where Raven took Saffron to her worried but physically sound mother.

"In truth," Raven admitted, feeling that alot of this was his fault for not being able to prevent it. For what was the point of training in his abilities as much as he did if it had failed his family and friends. "Aside from getting you taken care of, I failed everywhere else. I don't know what is going to become of Darren, even though I have a feeling you will see him again. Leo is somewhere in the castle, I heard him howling late last night. That is the extent of my knowledge."

Well, just about, being the report to the empress entailed that he sensed that it was Lac that took her brother. It hadn't occurred to Raven to tell her that part. He didn't know if it was good or bad to tell her that part, or if it had mattered to name the entity he sensed that took brother. Even then, he had to wonder if Leonidas knew that part, or if it would be telling Saffron more than he knew.

At the moment, all he wanted to do is retreat for now, and close himself up to deal with his feelings on the matter. He was kicking his own ass as it was, and the demanding expressions Saffron was giving him felt to Raven like she was judging him and finding him to be worth nothing. Just like he thought Maybelle was going to hate him for this. Yeah... Raven's thoughts were punishing himself when it would have happened with or without him involved.

Nnnnnngh... Rayne had walked down the stairs slowly, intending to walk towards breakfast. A headache had come to mind from lack of substance. That should go away with some meditation after breakfast. Was yesterday a dream or hallucination? Couldn't be, the princess of another country had decided, he felt real. As real as an invisible ghost like being could feel at least. His voice, emotions, even the air he occupied felt like it should. If it was drug induced, which Rayne was sure she hadn't had any, it was a really powerful one. All she had was....coooofffeeeeeeee.

Yeah, coffee sounded really good at the moment too. Rayne wore nothing that would give away her true title to anyone who didn't know. Rather she enjoyed living as just another person and not someone who should be catered to often. While she didn't enjoy the bulk of her slavery, she wasn't ready to take on the responsibilities that rank required her take. So she was content to live the life that she does.

Rayne wore her hair in a ponytail today, a simple red gown with belt round the waist. She didn't need anything more than that at the moment. All she was doing was seeking much needed food. Avoiding the hallway due to instinct or Raven's barrier, it wasn't sure which, but she had no clue as to what the howling was from.

When she got to the breakfast bar, she was so hungry she couldn't decide what to eat. The dark haired being grabbed a little of everything... Or she would have if she hadn't seen her favorite food. Biscuits and Sausage gravy with some apple juice. Getting enough that she was sure she would eat, Rayne walked towards the bar. Kyra wasn't on duty yet it seems, but that is okay. She was more interested in food than socialization anyways.

That and she was lost in thought about what happened yesterday, retracing everything to make sure it went as she thought it did. Not everyday you meet a stranger like she had. After a while of eating, Rayne finished, and then stared at one of the previous windows, to clear her thoughts and get rid of this headache before it gets worse.

As his words tumbled in avalanche, a gaping pit grew within her. Dread rose at the revelation she now witnessed account of. Oh! How could Darren have gone so far? How could Leo have taken justice in such a way? Oh heaven! Taking the life of a brother to defend the honor of a friend? Why did he not protect Maybelle and bring Darren to be judged for his crime? Did blood mean so little?

A lump grew in her throat, her breathing became belabored, dejected tears threatened to escape wide eyes and all she could do was retreat slowly until she felt cold stone at her back. Dropping her gaze, she took a few moments to collect herself and stepped toward the archway that led back into the main hall. Reaching out to touch Raven's shoulder with a slender hand, she would attempt to let him know by a firm squeeze and sturdy tones that she was grateful for his help. "Thank You."

Moving steadily at first and hands balled at her sides, she reached the door. Her mind raced with plans and tactics while weighing emotions with a newly discovered heaviness. Slow breath filled her lungs and she stepped out onto the grounds…

It was a feeling that kept Rayne from being in too much of a hurry to finish eating. Restless was a part of it. Eternal Empire was a good place to take residence. These days she didn't feel like she had a purpose to staying here. Aside from people that she stays for, all she did was exist. Unlike when she first was introduced to the residents here, there wasn't a demand for her time. This made her feel... useless.

While Rayne didn't really want the limelight in things, to have all the attention that she didn't deserve, she wanted to feel useful. Depressed, she had sighed, poking at the food slowly. Not much point to eating in a hurry if there wasn't anything to do. These sediments she kept to herself, while drumming the fingers on her right hand on the bar Cedar counter.

You see, Rayne's original job was to look after the children, and now they are at an age that she was needed less than before. Being used to being of service all these years and currently at a standstill depressed her. This was her problem, not anybody else's. She knew eventually that this day would come; the youth would be too old to need chased after constantly during the day.

She glanced towards one of the windows, of which was spelled to give a sense of the time of day and season, along with the phase of the moon. Looked like it was predicting good weather. That was something at least, Rayne thought as she had brushed a hand through her black hair.

She wasn't thinking of leaving, as the only place she could go was Lenlicyld, and that was worse than feeling useless. She had family there, but they are the exact reason she and her siblings decided to go by the alias of Nighthawk. Few know what their names originally are; the purpose by that is to be able to live and commune with others without the stigma of who they really were and where they were from.

Yesterday was interesting. Where some would be hesitant to be approached by a stranger that they couldn't see, Rayne invited him to her room. He made her feel if even for only one day, needed again. She was needed and she indulged him, and grew curious. If, or the other question, when he would be able to return, she knew not. Best she could do is hope that he made it through what he needed help for. Until then, the only thing that she can do is wait, and see what happens.

Blue eyes would blink as she watched Shade have a sense of purpose, with a light pack and riding off with Sable. Odd, she knew they were both occupied yesterday, but he normally doesn't leave without saying anything to her. Nor would he go with as little as he did. "What is going on?" she asked, a little out load as she remembered something happened yesterday that she had no clue on.

Great... Now she felt like a burden and idiotic for not knowing what is going on around her. ~Shade~ Rayne asked, still wondering what's up that he would leave like that. Reaching out to find that something up. ~Please tell me?~ She was gifted with some psionic ability, but at the moment it was mainly used between her siblings.

Meditative slumber gave way to unconscious oblivion as the land's Greater Deity wove his will. A spectral form crumbled to the floor taking up a comfortingly protective position behind the girl without a realization to his own actions. Long had it been since a semblance of humanity had been fully realized that it no longer felt second nature. Longer still since the simple act of physical contact had been explored that the experience startled the Grand Master from such a deep darkness.

Pupiless orbs fluttered to life beholding the girl within a ghostly embrace. "As did I." Hollow voice echoed her own apologetic tones. Languidly as if still within slumbers embrace arms began to untwine allowing both to rise once more. Once standing an assistive hand would be extended to the girl. Should she accept the Grand Master would give aid in her rising before stepping out to gaze down the hall.

"It had been my desire to seek out this Home Stones Slave Quarters. Perhaps one we may remember is within the Main Hall that could give us guidance."

A turn of uncowled head would take in the once slumbering girl along with the open Council Chamber doors. Within another slumbered upon the table itself. Through the fog of gathering memories the Grand Master recalled that she too was a stranger within these lands. Though he knew not what purpose she held it could be assumed that she too may be in need.

"Assistance may be required for this one within." Pupiless orbs set their eternal gaze upon a waking guard. "Carefully take up the girl within the Chambers and follow me." No sooner would the guard comply then the party would make its way into the great hall seeking any who may be able to assist.

She felt almost bereft as he un-twined his arms from around her. It had been the first time they had ever lain beside the other, and the first time he had ever held her in sleep. It was a moment to be cherished, and so it was, even with it's brief interlude, as he rose to his feet and held out a hand to her.

she looked to the hand, and then slowly lifted her gaze to look within his own. Once before they had stood in similar positions, yet she had been upon her knees then and he was her true Master in all things. To her he would always be her Master, and the greatest love of her life. though she found it hard to express how much he meant to her. especially not knowing if he felt the same still as he had so long ago. but her hand rose and fingers slipped across his palm in accepting his proffered hand. Gathering her traveling sack as she was drawn up to her feet before her him. She wished....

She wished for many things but she pushed them aside in lieu of the words he was speaking to her. She placed her traveling pack over her shoulder, and inclined her head to the words he spoke. " Yes I believe we can find someone we both know to lead us in the right direction. " Yet as he spoke of another within the council chambers, she drew a puzzled frown and looked to where another rested upon the table. Who was this? she knew not of course, and would not question out right.

Instead she turned still holding Thoth's hand as she walked with him towards the Great Hall, even as the guard was carrying the slumbering one behind them both. Once downstairs she swept her gaze over the faces that which were present. Then she spotted the former Nanny sitting off to herself. " Thoth... is that not Rayne? Perhaps she would know where we need to go to find the slave quarters here in this homestone.. " She suggested with lyrical softness, and even gave his hand a gentle squeeze if only to reassure them both of what would be expected of them once they settled in to this new place.. Apart of her was looking forward to the tasks before them.. while yet another portion of her was in struggle to not give into an impulsive action that might embarrass them both..

As she slept on the young assassin-in-training dreamt that she lay high in the boughs of the tallest tree. The wide branch she lay upon swayed and rocked with the strong breeze as the current shifted in heavy gusts. The warmth of brushed against her features and she closed her eyes in surrender. A loud snore rumbled in her throat and in her dream state she thought of thunder deafening against the evening sky. Could life get any better? Nostrils flared wide as she inhaled deep. Sparrow expected to smell the heady scent of earth coupled with the redolent tang of an oncoming storm, yet such was not to be.

Waaaach!...Her breath wheezed in her throat before blowing out in a rush. Raw garlic and something akin to sausage mixed with a noxious blend of masculine sweat invaded her senses. Her body shuddered in revulsion as she came from dream state to full wakefulness in the next breath. Ginger toned hues opened wide in shock blearily gazing into the surprised features of the guard carrying her. This was no swaying tree nor was the breeze an actual breeze after all...it was his stinking breath! Gross... Her stare narrowed as a blush quickly crossed the man's features and his face lifted from its close proximity to her own. Was...was he ogling me!?

Having had enough of this, she kicked out of his arms and stepped away from him. Even though her thoughts regarding him roiled with impertinence she would whisper a quick yet hasty thanks. "Thanks...but no thanks. I can walk the rest of the way." It would be best to not insult Master Amelee's guards after all...even though this one proved to be some kind of perv. The young assassin turned away, took a few steps paused then turned back. "Err...sorry but where exactly am I going?" The guard lifted a finger and pointed up the hall then turned and faded back down the hall. "Okie dokie then..."

Gingered hues caught the glimpse of the spectral being she had seen earlier in the council chambers and the pretty lady that kept pace beside him (Thoth and Ayla). On silent feet she moved quietly after them. A turn here a corner there and before she knew it she had followed the couple through a wide doorway that led into a large pub like room. Tables and chairs graced the floor space while on one whole side of the room a bar stretched from wall to wall. her lips formed a perfect circle as she stared at the beautifully colored mosaic windows that seemed to change patterns before her very eyes.

Sparrow's gaze lingered for long moments upon the glass tiles before a loud grumble erupted from the vicinity of her stomach. Her arms immediately lifted to squeeze over her midsection as if in attempt to silence it's embarrassing demands. The mouth watering smell of cooked food emanated from the room beyond the bar, she had no idea how famished she was until this moment. A blush crept up her own cheeks and she looked to the couple then to the other lady that sat at the bar (Rayne). "Sorry."

A few more steps carried her within and she stood there almost lost. The master assassin has specifically told her to sit within the council chambers and await her. But here she was standing in this grand room with the others whom she had no clue as to who they were. Damn it Branden...where are you? Taking in a deep breath to calm her nerves and rising hunger Sparrow flashed a shy smile. Better to say something now then to remain in such an awkward silence. "Hello...sorry for barging in...but the guard asked me to follow..." Her gaze moved over the spector and his lady their names a loss for words. "I'm Sparrow...a friend of..." To hasty "...Prince Branden invited me here yesterday but he had to run on an errand the Empress had given him. Mind if I wait for him here?"

Rayne remained where she was sitting. Not much to get her attention at the moment was going on, so she was keeping to herself. Well, aside from waiting for Shade to respond to her. The way he left, something had his attention, and would likely respond to her once he had a moment to do so. So yeah, she realized, rolling her eyes slightly at herself, she did have something to think about. Such as what was going on that seemed to leave a tension in the air that left sensible traces to anyone whose not involved.

She had finished with her plate, and someone that was cleaning in the area had come to remove it. Nothing was said as the girl was mainly concentrating on doing her job and nothing else. Something of which Rayne understood. If not kept on top of it, those dishes can pile quickly, they live in a large estate.

So, if one must play the waiting game, Rayne need to relax so that her patience doesn't run dry and go nuts... Not something that was easy to do with the feeling in the air that has everyone on edge, as well as the question of who that was howling in the night. Rayne had wondered but asked herself this. Did she really want to know, or was it something that she would discover anyways and be surprised... Time will tell there.

Rayne's attention came to an insect that landed on the bar, wanting to feed upon a crumb that she had dropped. Not really in a mood to squish, Rayne lined her left hand towards a operable window. Flicking the insect and it's food outside so it will take the substance and go elsewhere.

Her attention turned, hearing her name after seeing a couple figures out of the corner of her eyes. Ice colored eyes glanced at both figures, and a woman who was slipping by. Not paying much attention to the girl as the couple. It was of surprise, they were a couple of people that she hadn't seen in a long time. She blinked a couple times, to make sure that her vision wasn't playing tricks on her to relieve boredom.

She was dressed simple. A velvet skirt, lots of material to provide a flowing effect when she moved, made of purple, and a black shirt that would complement it. Tied around the wrists with a sash around her waist. Hair pulled back in a ponytail to expose the collarless neck. The sapphire that she had since birth still lingered there, part of the magic stating nobody can remove it if Rayne wasn't permissable to it.

When the girl. (Sparrow) would apologize, Rayne gave a glance her way. A small welcoming smile had appeared on her face. "Your fine hun, here is probably a good a place to wait for him as any."

Rayne would listen and ponder the girl as she seemed to be a fish out of water here. She introduced herself, but was trying to... Rayne could swear that she was trying to not make herself out to be a fool or something. Lifting a hand towards where the breakfast foods were, she looked like she just woke up really. "Food is in there, feel free to help yourself. I am Rayne."

She would leave it to Thoth and Ayla to introduce themselves if they hadn't already. Rayne didn't know, and wasn't one to assume. Speaking of, Rayne turned back towards them. "Hello." she greeted, nodding to them both, "It's been a while... How are you two doing?"

Legs stretched in long strides and feet whispered over the stone floor. Senses peeked identifying all within the area as to potential threat. Steele grey sphere darted over each person in the main hall and right hand accepted her's instinctively. Demonic sphere rotated downward marking Daemon's entry into the dungeon then swiveled high following Kaden's path. If something was not done soon they would tear the castle down around them.

Features set in a death mask below long curtain of dark locks. Hand released and demonic orb saw the woman with Lien Tao. Feet changed course working in the darker corner of the stair case out of sight. He knew every inch of this castle and as he worked along the wall nearest the stair case he built speed. Muscles coiled and legs sprung upward. Right hand reached out clasping an iron torch sconce pulling upward and left hand reached out for a beam.

Agilely he began climbing upward moving quickly within the darker recesses to not be noticed. He had done this even before hearing Star's rebuke. Once the wall was scaled he would work along a ceiling beam silently dropping down a few feet behind the woman. His eyes would meet that of Star's acknowledging he was in place. He would then take up a stance prepared should she run or fight.

The pro offered hand would be held as they made their way within the common room. It was a casually familiar act which the Grand Master would not pull from though it had been long since a lingered physical interaction, even one as subtle as this, had been allowed. Limitations had been clearly placed any touch must be desired with a loving pure heart or it would not be acquired by this ghostly state. It proved to be both a powerful blessing should an assault ensue however it was in fact a painful curse one the Grand Master endeavored to endure alone as the burdon was his.

Pupiless orbs drank in the surroundings within so vast a room. There were familiar faces one of which (Rayne) the girl at his side was even know recalling. A welcome smile began to spread over the full sensual mouth in response to her greeting.

Attentions would then be pulled toward that of the entering Empress who had the Master Assassin in tow. As their eyes fixed one upon the other an understanding was met. Short cropped raven locks dipped in a respectful bow of acknowledgment before the connection need be broken.

It was then that another familiar figure could be seen on the outskirts of the room (Raven). While the visage had most assuredly changed the eyes of what had once been a spectral boy had not. Another warm greeting would be offered marking said recognition.

Finally the call of one of the Empress's offspring (Brenden) rang through the rooms expanse marking his return. Within his arms was an exact duplicate leaving only one plausible summation that this was his sibling (Branden). While it was impossible to know the difference having the two within the same vicinity allowed the Grand Master to feasibly assume at least one would be who the young girl behind them sought.

"It would seem young Sparrow that your Prince has returned."

Ayla was reassured by Thoth's grip upon her hand, he already knew it was he she was devoted to, and had been for many years, that had not altered in the least bit. so it was she would know his touch and he her's without his ghostlike form to be hindrance between the two of them. As Sparrow spoke, Ayla's gaze cut towards the woman and nod was given, though no words were offered, not even to the one whom came and looked to them both, before moving on after Thoth acknowledged them.

Ayla's smile though came warm and serene towards Raven and Rayne, and as Rayne spoke she looked to Thoth a moment before she looked back towards Rayne. " Hello Rayne.. we were hoping you might be of aid to us. We have recently arrived but have not yet been shown where the slave quarters are.. Would you perhaps be able to direct us? " She hoped the woman would be able to do so, that way Thoth and she and could become acquainted with their new arrangements, and freshen up some from the road each had traversed to reach here. Then as she looked to Raven, it took a good bit of time to recognize the young man. Though when it dawned that it was the once boy whom was naught but a mischievous ghost before her gaze warmed and she inclined her head to him. " Why Raven, you have grown considerably and are no more caught between worlds. "

Yet her gaze continually returned to Thoth, brushing her thumb along his own in an affectionate gesture. curious as to what had transpired between he and the other woman that had ordered the one whom had followed them down to stay was about. Yet here was not the place to question the Grand Master, and thus she held her curiosity until a more appropriate time could afford them to speak freely and openly between the two of them. For now it was a matter of finding their lodgings and where they would be working here.

Okay... Maybe not... At least for the girl to go and help herself to some food. Who was she though? For the empress to single her out and command her to stay? When Star's gaze turned towards Rayne, she would lower her head, leaving it bowed for a moment as a way of returning the greeting in a silent respect. It wasn't long before the empress's attention turned elsewhere, and Rayne decided that was none of her buisness.

Besides, there was another thing that called to her attention. The return of House Silvermane's Master, and Rayne presumed lady. They appeared to be strong, and Rayne does not know anything of what had happened since she joined the party that sought out to rescue who would have been lady if things remained as they were.

Would Rayne know of where to find the Slave Quarters? Yeah, having lived in a place for approximately 20 years, she should know. Even though she does not visit them on a regular basis, she needs more help than can be offered if she didn't know the areas of the castle she is allowed access to.

Before she could answer, Brenden had entered the area, dragging with him his partner in crime. Branden was out cold. What happened? Did he party too hard and leave Brenden carrying him? She chuckled at the thought, because what instincts were active would have wanted blood if she knew the truth. Those that she helped look after when they were smalls, she cared about because of the memories that was built. Even if they loved to give those around them grey hair.

"Yeah," Rayne would answer, to the question if she knew where the chambers were, "It wouldn't be a problem to direct the two of you." Slowly, rising from her seat, Rayne stepped to the side. Her hands moved to push the stool in, leaving what was left of her dishes to be collected by the help that was on the shift.

Something about their presence caused Rayne to somewhat shift into slave mode. Not to the point that she knelt before then or anything, but if you knew what to look for, it was in her posture. It was shown in the way she focused the mussels in her face, and her spine was straight at attention. "Whenever you are ready..." Rayne began, beginning to realize that she was slipping into old habbits.

Taking a moment, she would force her body to relax somewhat. She had been free for quite a long time, she didn't need to present herself as though she were still collared. What can you say? Those old habits certainly die hard.

Raven had sighed, the problems in his mind can only be repeated so many times before he would even get sick of them. Really, what can he do by thinking the same thing over and over again and punishing himself? All it seemed to be doing was make him continuously feel like a jackass and make himself look stupid. Nobody was acting with anger towards him, so why not put it to the side for now and deal with it when it is time to do so?

The avariel taken in a breath, thinking those thoughts, and set them into motion with the slow release of it. Shoving the problems in a cabinet for the moment, to pay attention to what was going on around him.

The girl from yesterday that had irritated Star was being told to stay where she was, again to wait for her. Branden's potential girlfriend had definatly been noticed. Raven didn't think he needed to concern himself with the why of this matter. No... best to stay out of this one, he has enough problems, don't need the help.

Not expecting them to recognize him after so long, Raven didn't really try to hide the fact that he was surprised. There was no need to, it had been years, and he wasn't arrogant enough to think that what happened in between wouldn't be enough to put him out of direct memory. A friendly smile had crossed his features as he blushed a bit. "Yeah?" he responded, though it sounded more of a question than a statement... "It would appear as if time had even changed you as well. Though I would hope it was for the better."

He remembered the past as well. How he had roamed everywhere after fleeing the lands of his death. Looking at a place to call home, when he found the lands of mischief. It made sense, to be a ghost looking for a place to belong. I can no longer scatter flour and get away with it, he mused, as he also couldn't help but to remember picking on Nania as well.

Raven didn't want to interfere with anything, so he would spread his left wing out first, turning towards that. In a way, he was showing it off, but more interested in getting them in tip top shape. Pulling out debris from the roof first, there wasn't much, but was put to the side on the table for now. He will take care of it when he's done. Next, he would pick up the rag and start wiping the wing down, pulling feathers that were too loose out, so that new growth could occur....

To her displeasure, Kyra had found returning inside the castle a bit longer than she had planned... Hearing the sounds of a fight going on, Kyra couldn't find herself caring too much about that. It was Kaden and his brother having a sibling squabble. Wasn't that big a deal to her... If they had threatened to tear down the castle it might be a different story, but at the moment, fixing her movement issues was more important than anything else at the moment. Her arm needed adjusting, and her false leg was out of place somewhere that it was more drag it along than move it...

Getting inside was a bit of a pain, because she had to lean on rails for support and take her sweet time with it... She was off the clock, she's not obligated to care about playing nice right now. Her mood was rotten, and the fix is waiting inside... Closest place that has the items stored that she needs is at the bar. Not her shift, so anyone doesn't like it can kiss it...

As evident of a bad mood she's in, Kyra would try to not take it out on anyone unprovoked. "Excuse me," she murmured, attempting to let the two newly arrivals know she was slipping on by. Knowing she was looking like shit, she would head straight towards the bar. Not asking for help, not wanting to feel more like a cripple than she was already. "Don't worry about me, I am fine."

Trying to keep her mood to herself, again nobody around here done anything to deserve it, Kyra would continue on her path towards the stool that was behind the bar.

It is said judge not least you yourself be judged.

The Lady Tao had been removed from time's grasp and placed within the boundless infinity of creation's web. While nearly an entire day had passed since last she had been conscious it had been no more then an after thought within this place.

Voices echoed all around cleaving the darkness with their taunts. Threats mingled with rebuke tethering her to their place among the tapestry of life. Within the center lay an open room known only to three. Here is where man's lots were cast; here is where all, both great and small, were assigned their own individual strands.

Two stood impatiently waiting as the third drew near her footsteps light upon the silvery threads. Though there was no climate within it would seem that the third flowed through an ocean of tranquility. One which set her clothing and hair to languidly ripple through space giving a deadly calm to each fluid motion. As she set her foot upon the illusive floor the two who had awaited continued to throw their accusations, threatening what they might do by way of retribution.

"Enough," the single word cut through all else splintering the darkness with a fearful chill. The two stepped back uttering no more then a shuddering breath. "You," she pointed to the first to speak watching as she took a second step back, "you are the weaver of life. To you is the power to create, to breath into existence those within the mortal and immortal realm."

Her dark gaze would then shift to the second, "and you. To you is bestowed the power to release all living things from their mortal coils. You but hold your shears upon the thread of life cutting where you may."

As she spoke her footsteps would fall upon a direct path to a rising chair of life strands. Each one flickering into place to mold a place that she may rest upon. Her back was to them a show of fearlessness and certainty that could not be found in the countenance of the two who watched her depart. Turning upon the balls of her feet she would lower herself gracefully to sit looking slowly between them before continuing.

"To me has been given the indelible ink that writes out each individuals actual walk through the life the two of you have created. I alone judge what is to be brought to the light or left to the darkness. I alone pave the livings walk with victory or defeat." She would draw in a deep breath her words a calm much like the quiet before the great storm. Her gaze would then move outward as if seeing beyond the two into the many layered web. Her voice would then take on a roiling that built unto a furious force. "Therefore it is I alone who may choose what may change within another's life and reveal what I wish to reveal at the time I wish it to be known. Neither of you will stand in judgment of me just as I do not judge you," her hand would raise finger's curling toward her palm until a single finger pointed at the first, "for what you create." Her finger would then point to the second, "nor you for when you choose to snuff another's existence."

She would rise again from the disbanding threads walking with purpose and determined steps toward the two. "Do not..try..my patience..again." Each would move away uttering no words while refusing to catch her eye. She would flow past them back the way she had come. "Should there be no other matters I will be returning to my duties." Her voice had once more returned to the deadly calm invoking a serenity not able to be felt at the time.

Without a second glance she would simply step off willing her return along the threads. As she made her way through the empty void she felt the pull of her own body drawing her back. Carefully she found her way along the invisible line until settling back within the flesh.

Lien Tao's body gave a long shuttering breath within Avinwyn's arms. Her lids would flutter as she attempted to reorient herself to the physical plane once more. All sense's were accutely away of her surroundings almost painfully so but it was the nearness of another that drew her awareness sharply into focus. "Avinwyn," the Lady Tao's voice was no more then a whisper as it cracked from lack of use. "They are my own place me within their care." Her hand would lift fingertips stroking the girls cheek, "you have done well and I thank you."
