    (Wesa)

    It had been a slow day, Wesa thought, as he had entered the current area, coming from outside. Just got rid of a hairball, from chewing on the grass outside. It was not long before he had been inside that he had caught ahold of a peculiar scent. Giving a purr, the short haired tabby had caught the scent of one of his favorite treats. One that gives a sporting chase nine times out of ten. Mice. Birds, or shall he say that the ones he are allowed to hunt flew away, those little cheaters. It was always a pleasure to pluck those when they get caught to pluck their feathers and to feast on their tasty meat! Anyways, upon furthur investigation of this scent, it was fresh enough to say that the tasty morsel was fresh from the outside.

    Like a well trained hunter, he followed the trail, mindful of the humans that might be in the area. It wouldn't take long, as the cat's predictions proven to be true, that the said mouse had been found. The mouse done as mice do, and started to give the cat a good chase. Cheating of course by trying to get into areas that it may have thought Wesa would have a hard time navagating. Wesa slid a couple times, so the mouse nearly got away, but never the less, Wesa managed to corner it, and emerge with a still squeaking mouse in his mouth. Sorry mousie, you picked the wrong castle to try to make a home out of...

    (Kyra)

    In a chair in the main halls, the golden blonde sat, in a chair comfortably. First watching Wesa chase a mouse about the room. Next she watched Zaden dash by and up the stairs, with freshly raided goods from the kitchen. She glanced the way that he had come from, sort of expecting flying cast iron skillets or the nature. In her aging days, nothing much can surprize Kyra anymore. You can thank working in QS as a bartender for that one, and also the days... Those which Kyra does not like to speak of. She had seen many things. An elf stealing breakfast or a cat chasing a mouse, those aren't much on the scale of weird.

    Kyra held the coffee cup in her prostetic hand, glancing towards the rich liquid inside. This had a kick that a cajun would be proud of. Blowing on it to cool it down some before she drank it. Reflecting on life in general, as she knew she had already outlived most people in her family. Elric line, aka her bloodline, she didn't know how long they lived. A rumor of one living in their hundreds was just a rumor. There was one family talent that they all shared, other than alchemy, and that was pissing people off. Kyra done that time to time, and managed to defeat most of her enemies so far. She still had a few out there, but she was still alive.

    She still looked younger than she actually was. That was mostly because she had given herself treatments by her own abilities to look it. That was only appearence wise. She still felt her age. Her cropped limbs hurt worse when the weather turns sour, and some joints have arthritis. Kyra tries to not complain about that, as pain was just proof that she was alive. There were also some herbs and stuff that she could take for the pain, so it wasn't all that bad. Looking her age, that is what bothered Kyra the most. Visual reminders that she is getting old. When many of her friends, elven and human still looked young, and some of them are older than she is. Kyra started to gaze out the window, towards the day in silent contemplation for the moment.

    (Pantera)

    The lady did appear silent as the ever creeping shadows that glided along the walls, her nose quivered at the scent of one so entirely familar. Her jaw made a silent movement as if a mew where stuck. In truth was excitement indeed at the scent that wafted in the air towards her way. One quick easy stride an eagerness to her gait as she darts forth from the protective veil of shadows. Into the light she enters and stood there blinking for but a moment as her eyes adjusted to her surroundings.

    Flick of the tail and then a through head to tail shake her front limbs stretched forth arching that back in the familar scary pose fur fluffed. A stifled yawn was sent forth she parked her haunches down taking the time to assess her surroundings. Golden green eyes closed to half slits as she let forth thrumming purrs. In a given moment she arose once more alert but in a sleepy way. She meanedered along scenting the air to slowly make here way towards that familar scent. She knows that scent well it belongs to her beloved Furred Knight. She is eager to see him for enjoys her mouse hunting best with her beloved Wesa at her side.

    (Raven)
    Raven sat at a table, watching the world go by once or twice. Hell, he noted, watching Wesa zip by him, the mouse trap on four furry legs, it was lapping him for crying out loud. The day was turning out to be another nice one, would be good to out outside later and strech his newly void colored wings and just fly for a while. Nothing felt better than a cool wings flowing through those feathers, well, mental correction... There was one thing that drove him nuts having done with those wings that he isn't gonna say... His reaction will make him cross his legs and just sit there for a while... Raven had shook that thought out of his head as that would make him most happy that his wings were melded to his back, as he tensed to make sure that they did. Inside, unless he needed them to ensure that he wasn't going to go into a caustrophic fit, he preferred to keep them out of the way.

    Bored for the moment, he watched Wesa catch his prey, working on killing the creature he thought. A vagabond rodent usually met their fate by one of the two kitties, usually one never far from the other. Young love... "There is no hate only joy," Raven's lyrical voice spoke, softly quoting a poem to himself in honor of the two felines , or really any lovers of the area, but more for them at the moment. "For you are beloved by the goddess..." The two cats, they were dedicated to the other, Wesa viewing her as his love diety from the way he reacts to her presence. They may not have noticed him, he realized, watching Pantera stalk her champion, her furred knight.

    Plotting, an almost innocent smile crept his elven features as stormy hughed eyes looked at the shadows. Learned that after all this time that the light may give him away if he isn't too careful. He has a shadow now. Though sometimes, he forgets... That can mean many things. The silver haired youthful young adult, whose mentallity shows teenager in elven started stalking the shadows, made sure that he took his shoes off. He is better at stealth barefoot. Waited till the right moment before he drew in a breath of air, and tapped Pantera lightly on the soulder. By now Wesa should have killed the rodent, so it shouldn't cause too much damage... "BOO!!!"

    (General Leo)

    Age had begun to creep up on the former Shadowknight and though most days he could successfully conceal that fact today would not be one of them. Once Commander now General Leonidas walked a little slower then his normal militant clip as he entered the castle's main hall with General Kaden. It had been many years ago when the man at his side had approached Leonidas about a position open within these rebuilt lands. Not long after he was brought before the Empress and her Consort in order to finalize his new title and position. No longer was he a Commander in charge of castle security now he was the General of the Imperial Guard. One might think it was a promotion to an easier position but Leonidas soon found out after the birth of the Empress's twin sons that at times they could be more of a handful then an entire army of undead soldiers. He of course meant those thoughts in the best way possible.

    Today had given him a small break from the daily routine of keeping the boys out of mischief as they were each sent on a task by their mother. The Empress herself had even taken the day as a holiday of sorts due to private business held outside the castle as well as the monthly spar with Roblen. This gave the General a rare opportunity to hone his skills with his former commanding officer General Kaden. While the General kept a very busy schedule within the lands of Quella' Silvermane he still could be found within Eternal as the majority of his family resided here. After insuring that Maybelle, Nicholai and Romi's daughter who had been placed under he and his wife's watchful eye, was out of mischief Leonidas took the entire day to work with Kaden. They had only just called it a day a few moments ago thus the two made their way inside for refreshment.

    As his first step passed over the threshold a time honored tradition was upheld with his eyes immediately seeking out the beautiful form of his wife Saura. Since first meeting her Leonidas had found himself searching for her whenever they were parted and though they had been married nearly twenty years the habit had not once been broken. A slight disappointment passed over his features as she was not within the room but it was quickly replaced with a look of curiosity as he watched the events unfolding between Wesa, Pantera, and Raven. It would appear that Wesa had been honing his own skills as a mouser while being stalked by his lady love. To complicate matters further they were both now being stalked by Raven who had just uttered a very loud Boo. Tapping Kaden on the arm Leonidas would motion to the gathering group with a smile. "Some things never change."

    (Wesa)

    Wesa was a happy kitty, as he kept ahold of this mousie in his mouse, struggling for his life. It was a good sized one, must have come from an adundant corn field or something of that nature. A good morsel to share with Pantera. He had all that a kitty could ever dream of these days. A beautiful lady, a large castle to roam in, human companionship that Wesa trusts with his furry little life. He didn't have to worry about where his next meal was coming from either. Should any of theRoyal Guard have a cat, as the pet of the general, he would view it as his duty to set the example of how a kitty that belongs to a two legged of the Royal Guard should act. Like a feline that the house can be proud of. To treat the lady kitties of the house with the honor and dignity that they deserve.

    A furred knight is sworn to Valor. His heart knows only virtue. His claw defends the helpless. His might upholds the weak. His mewl speaks only truth. His wrath undoes the wicked... and mice... It goes without saying that he should not do anything that would bring embarassment upon himself and any other that resides in this house. Wesa has his rules that he plays by, and he would do his best to bring honor to those that reside here, and more importantly, his family and Pantera.

    Jaws clenched the neck of said mousie, having him struggle long enough, and any more would bring heart attack to the creature. It's short lived life deserves a more painless death anyways. He would then drop the mousie on the floor and begin to contemplate as he swished his tabby striped tail. Where would his lady be at this..... WHAT THE HELL!!! He had barely had the time to notice Lord Kaden and his most trusted owner Leonidas approach as he heard a familiar elven voice shout from the shadows. His tail took a look that resembled the nice smelling pines that could be found scattered around the castle during certain holidays as he flipped around...

    There was also Pantera and the culprit of the crime Hawksney... The young man was ignorable for now, but he had two people that were not ignorable. Wesa would nudge the mousie towards Pantera as Wesa needed to welcome back Leonidas from his long rounds. That way she can enjoy her breakfast, or join him in this. Or if she so chose, claw Raven for the both of them. Maybe he should go bird hunting later, leave a half eaten bird where he would find it as a reprisal. Bird is tasty anyways.

    Wesa would leave Pantera to make her choice on what to do as he walked over towards the General he belonged to, and move to rub up against his legs. He never jumps unless he is given consent to, being as he never knows if Leonidas is doing something dangerous again. Mewled a warm greeting towards him and Kaden, followed by a warm purr, welcoming him back inside afterwards glancing towards Pantera, to see what choice she would do. Either way, he gave her a warm look too.

    (Pantera)

    She was ready to pounce upon her furred knight she was all hunched up her muscles all wired up. Front paws danced there upon the floor as if eager to play or cause mayhem. Unbeknowist to her the antics is going to end for now and new target to be had real soon. She felt the whisper soft tap to the shoulder which scared her bad enough but the subtle Boo that did it all in. All muscles went haywire her back arched into the traditional scary halloween cat pose. Even the tail appeared like a zig zag bolt of lighting from how fluffed her fur was. She turned around to gaze at her assaliant that had succeed in catching her entirely off guard. Aaaa leave it to her dearest friend to pull such a prank. He had done well this teach her a lesson about being to focused on her goals. Purr escaped low and throaty her eyes darted to Wesa whiskers went a twitching at the scent of breakfast.

    Then swiveled her gaze to Raven as if saying yep its on buddy when your not looking I shall pounce your ankles and nibble look. Its her turn to scare Raven good hopefully she can get him when he is not so focused. She did a dance there as if trying to be more scary indeed. She is not riled or upset no in fact Raven had woken her more kittenish like nature thats rarely seen. She was busy dancing there and hissing more for some laughs then anything. She turned in a blur snagged her treat in one swift motion with the mouse in her jaws darted to Wesa.

    The game is on now its now become a game of chase and scare tactics. She will bide her time and wait with great patience that all cats are infamous for. She if possible gave Raven a wink as if saying I will catch you just wait and see. Arched herself into Wesa gently purring her devotion and love as she finished her breakfast. Wesa is right a game of bird hunting sounds fun right about.

    (Raven)

    Aye, time had left it's mark on everyone here. His was perhaps one of the most evident changes that had happened over time's dance. Like a phoenix, Raven had died, and had been gifted with the body that he has now. He was happy to be a ghost once upon a time, missed living, but was fine with the way things were. Till he found reason to change his world. Maybelle, someone he cared for as if an elder brother came into his life. Had he not met her, Raven wouldn't have thought that one bitch and her husband truely wanted him in their lives... He might not have been in a position to know Maybelle had gotten lost on the grounds and go look for her. Had he not looked for her, then another man wouldn't have scared him and show him what his "mother's" true colors were. Same with her stupid fiancee... Raven returned to the castle garden's alone, and met the man whose his coloring today emulates. Doesn't look exactly like Mikhail Hawksney, the man he calls father, but enough to really look like he could be his birth son. To support what people should be picking up off his mind should they pass his traps.

    Raven as he had hoped to accomplish, and scare both kitties. Had he any doubts that Wesa would have accomplished killing breakfast, he would have aborted his plot. Not wanting to be known as the reason that a mouse got into the favored treats of the castle peoples. When he does show his more playful side, it isn't anything that would cause real harm. He enjoyed life and respected it enough to not take any un nessesary risks. Nor to harm anyone without proper cause.

    Raven's laughter rang as Pantera hissed and spat at him. She was doing this just for a show and he knew it. If she was serious, she would have clawed into him right now and he knew it. Thus he would have already been heading towards the door. Raven looked up, and gave a nervous grin seeing Leonidas and Kaden standing there, being he just got caught picking on his cat. He is right, old habits do die hard. Even as Raven gave a glance to the window to see what obstacles he would have to dodge should he get the instinctive feeling he had to run. Yes, sometimes having wings can be a boon, but only works against those that can't fly or can't hit flyers. In that case, Raven better hope he is faster than them, which only applies to some. Besides, it isn't like he did this all the time, Raven is usually more serious than that. While he greets the world with a smile and a good attitude most of the time, he doesn't care to be known as a jackass. Especially while his body is still in it's teenage years, as elven blood generally goes through it longer. While in human years, he was in his twenties, in elven, younger. His soul is way older than that, but yeah... You get the idea.

    Giving a wave while the cats went to greet the two that entered, Raven still smiled and waved towards him. "Hello." he greeted, as he continued looking for signs that he needed to run for his joke, Raven's lyrical voice was friendly. "Good day I hope?" His wings were still hidden from view, wanting to come out and stretch, but that was better off doing outside where there was more room to do so anyways. Not in any hurry to get there of course, the day was still young enough.

    (Kaden Black)

    It was very rare that the General had any leisure time to spare due to his usual hectic schedules between this realm and the Quella Silvermane lands. He was after all General to the QS Shadow Knights as well as Roan's military ambassador representing these lands and beyond. Such was not only a duty he took more then seriously but it was one of the greatest honors bestowed upon him by his master and creator...Roan. Kaden's thoughts turned away from these recollections moving instead to center upon Leonidas who's slightly slower pace he matched as they strode directly into the main hall. A wry half smile crossed his usually austere features as he glanced at the smaller man. He could see this respite no matter how short it was did the Imperial General some good...their spar went exceptionally well with Leonidas even getting a few good hits in...at least enough so to leave him abit sore in more than a few places.

    Pausing within the hall's arched entryway Kaden paused by the other's side. Kaden's gaze roamed slowly over the other occupants within the high vaulted chamber noting with some amusement the magnificent furry hunter as he stalked and finally caught the unfortunate rodent. A low rumbling chuckle moved past his lips as he watched the stalker was in turn stalked by his feline lady and close behind was the young man called Raven. A single hand would lift only to touch down upon the smaller man's shoulder and giving a firm squeeze. "The more things change the more they stay the same and such could either be a blessing or a curse, my friend."

    With that he released Leonidas only to bring his fist up to thump against his chest giving Wesa a General's formal salute. "Keep up the good work Wesa!" A slight bow followed by a delighted wink was then given towards Pantera. "Well done young master." He replied turning towards Raven. "The day has fared well so far and yourself?"

    (Gaz)

    The figure stood in the doorway with shoulders at a rigid attention, looking over the scene with a solumn bewilderment. She would not have normally been a noticable figure. Her hair was a common black color that fell straight and neat down her back, tied near the end with a soft leather strip to keep it from getting unruly as she traveled. Her skin was lightly tanned, showing rescent signed of possible sunburn not so many days past. Her eyes were dark, not demonstrating any sort of exotic color or shaping. Even the intricate black tattoo that ran from the edge of her bottom lip to a little under her chin did not stand out overly much.

    Her clothing was simple, ranging in a sprectrum of greens and browns. The footwear was open cut at the heel and the toes, as if to make room for nonexistant claws. The shirt was more two short capes front and back, the front shorter than the back by at least a hand span. The skirt was just as simple, being a cloth wrapped several times around the waist and tied at one hip. A sword was strapped to her back, inornate but well crafted. A metal bracer was atached to the right arm, and a bag was straped over one shoulder and across her chest. The garb of an orc, the focused expression of the orc kind, yet a woman's features.

    Tahwee gazed at the liveliness of the area without comment, finding much of the happenings as alien as much of what she found on her way there.Though at least it seemed a bit more normal than when she had first stepped foot into a town. She had been forced to adjust one of her capes to cover her chest, as humans had raised a great fuss about a state called 'nekkid'. It seemed to physically pain them to see a females chest as they made sharp noises and covered their eyes, or stared at her as if she had striken them a blow. This 'nekkid' had been an irritating obstacle, among many others. But that obstacle seemed to be gone now that her neva was adjusted to cover her, though it was out of season to be covering ones chest.

    She gazed upon a young man with two furred things, and a man, and a blonde woman so far, each intent on their own daily lives. She clenched her hand over the scroll in her left hand as she tried to remember the formal greetings used in these cases. There were so damn many! "Good... Dai."

    (Saffron)

    Saffron, a rare spice harvested from crocus flowers-not a name for a young woman…though the story was nauseatingly sweet every time her mother would tell it-“The whole sky was the color of saffron the morning you were born. That sunrise was the most beautiful your father and I had ever seen, it was perfect-just like you Kanta. We just had to name you after that sunrise. And you know what? We haven’t seen a sunrise as breathtaking since.” The story was usually accompanied by a light scolding-“don’t stick your tongue out like that. Be thankful, we were going to name you Drucilla.” Followed by a “Ewww!” and a tickle attack. Through the years, she’d come to terms with her name; it was unique-like her. She was older now and her sixteenth year proved to be sweet enough, though-unbeknownst to her parents-she did have more than a streak of mischief in her.

    She sauntered into the main hall- a bunch of freshly picked red roses in hand. She had been rather bored this day considering she’d gotten so ahead in her classes, but then again, she’d always excelled beyond expectation in her schooling- which, undoubtedly, made her classmates more than a little envious.

    Upon the sight of her father, the soft pink petals of her lips curved upward in a pretty smile. “Father.” Coming closer to him, she realized that he was with Kaden. –sigh- She couldn’t remember when she’d first contracted the crush, but the sight of him having just come in from sparring was almost too much to bear. She could see that her father was most certainly looking for her mother, she had come to memorize the look on his face when he longed to see her. “Mother was in the library correcting our translations last time I saw her; that was only an hour ago. She’s likely still there.” Smiling innocently on the outside, her plan was to get rid of her father so that she could have a moment with Kaden. “Here, you might want to take her these.” Holding out the roses, she would wait until her father’s attention would turn to the bouquet before shooting Kaden an impish glance, hoping her pacific-fire topaz orbs would catch his eye.

    (Devlin)

    Finally dressed in his usual black attire of straight legged trousers, topped with a silken shirt only opened partially instead of half way as he didn't need questions on his wound, he made his way down towards the main hall. Light boots hardly made a sound upon the marbled floors as he descended the stairs. For a just a moment his crimson hues scanned the area. Ah yes, it seems Pantera and Wesa were at it again. And he suppressed a laugh at Raven's successful attempt to scare. Two furred ones with hair standing on end like someone had given them an electrical shock as even tails and ears perked with hunched threating spines.

    He descended the stairs, making his way towards Pantera to give her a pat on the head and to stroke her back as he said softly, "Good day, Pantera. When you are done, why don't go and see Kyra later for a good dish of fresh cream?" His eyes twinkled some as he straightened and started towards where General Leonidas, General Kaden, Raven and the young miss Saffron were standing around talking. He approached with a light chuckle as the images of the cats were still within his mind.

    A hand went to grasp firmly upon Leonidas shoulder as he in turn nodded at Kaden in greeting before he said, "Generals, you both look like you need a drink or two. It's good to see the both of you." He only made a presence to ensure that he was back for a while before his next jaunt. He had been gone from the castle for about 40 days so he could take care of some business back in A'zyrla.

    He next acknowledged the young lady as he said, "Good day, Miss Saffron, you're looking prettier than last time I saw you. Don't give your father too much grief, he's starting to show his age, don't you think General Kaden?" He jested kindly as he chuckled with a friendly wink towards his daughter, looking back at Leonidas as he grinned. Devlin meant no harm of course. He would always be a charmer, but had long ago gave off this aura that they were only words and not to be seen as anything more. He saw the flowers the girl was attempting to give to her father, seeing the look upon her face that to Devlin seemed rather transparent as he said, "Go and see your wife, General. I'll certainly catch up with you later in regards to any supplies you may need."

    Something caught his eyes at the door as he saw a strange looking woman come through the doorway. Not seeing Mercedes around, Devlin took stock of Raven as he ruffled his hair kindly. He gestured with his chin at towards the entrance as he said to him, "Hey Raven, how are you doing? Scaring the beasts of the castle as usual, I see. Do me a favor, won't you and receive our guest at the door? I need to go to Kyra and see how she is faring."

    Castle Main Empty Re: Castle Main

    Post  Admin Tue Aug 03, 2010 7:35 pm

    (Pantera)

    She was a lady through and through neatly tucked her head down slightly curving into herself she thoughtlfully chewed te remainder of the mouse. Not polite to eat ones meal in the prescence of others that might find this disturbing. She dont see how its so utterly wrong to cherish such a splendid meal. Once done she licked her muzzle clean and begin to peruse the entire room carefully. Those warm golden green hues took note of all the new comers that filtered into this place. Little much even for her but still its not crowded yet. Her gaze turned to catch that of whats his name Kaden she belives, yes there new faces to greet and meet. She dont rember this gentleman as of yet so far. She saw how he bowed to her in greeting whiskers twitched forward to honor the greeting. She is excellent at telepathy skills but its really a matter of luck if you can get her to speak. She dipped her head in such a polite lady like way to say hello to Kaden. It was indeed nice to curl here at Wesa's side to enjoy the comforts of his company.

    Soon enough here comes Devlin making his way right towards her silent mewl of greeting escaped. For that moment she felt those fingers ontop of her head she arched right into them. Soft rumble of a purr did indeed escape at the mention of the profered treat of fresh cream. She knew Kyra gladly give her and Wesa fresh cream all they had to do was but ask. She looked to Wesa, her head dipped down and close nudged him ever so softly.

    With that the flick of the tail she glanced at her precious furred knight letting him decide if he will play follow the leader. There is breakfast to be had fresh cream, maybe a sporting chase of catch a birdy would be next. She trailed along rather politely beside Devlin he is after all going the same direction. She made sure to not trip the good man but was close enough that she can not possibly be missed. She favors alot of people. The main ones she turns to for affection though would be Devlin, Kyra or her beloved Avie. She turned to look behind her once letting her beloved furred knight she is going to get us some fresh cream. She was off on the hunt for a bowl of goods and traveling with Devlin to visit Kyra.

    (Kyra)

    Kyra didn't have much to say as she continued to sit there, watching the castle come more and more alive. Of all the changes that had occured over the years, Kyra was still more or less the same personality she was before. Guarded her heart from the majority of the world, to keep the chances of more pain to endure than she has to as small as possible. Though really, she did more or less stay in this area, being as she has family in this part of the world. For the most part, Kyra stuck around and had helped where she could. Amestris she hasn't been to since she left it, where her family lain buried. No point in returning to a land where all that is there for her is memories of a screwed up past.

    Her protetics, she had managed to work out a design that wasn't so much bulky, covered with a coat of rubber that made it look more human than it was. The cover when needed could be peeled off when Kyra needed to do the cumulative maintenance on it, so that it keeps functioning normally. It is annoying when the oil dries up to the point that that it makes a lot of noise and doesn't work quite right. That said oil she had worked on as well, so that she doesn't smell like something that would belong in an armory. Lavender. Something pleasant and somewhat feminine a smell, but not too girly, as she didn't exactly have the right body to attempt something more exotic in nature. Both hands were kept gloved most of the time, even though the fake skin that she has covering it was inclusive on her hand. Thin gloves that were made of a medium thickness silk when she wasn't working, cotton for when she was. Her legs were done in a same fashion, though there were grips on the bottom of her fake leg so that if she was walking on something slippery barefoot, then she doesn't fall on her ass every time.

    That was really the main thing of her appearence that has had any significant change. The main notable thing that she had changed, as Kyra still had a low self esteem about herself. To the point she hardly bothered getting affected with the love in the air thing that everyone was so involved with. Some keep their cool in the public light and fawn in the privacy of the rooms while others... lets just say Kyra needed to keep her mouth shut on this one, as it could easily offend the person she didn't want get upset. She had friends, male and female, but there were certain emotions that she had believed were not for her. Kyra will admit that she finds some people attractive, but she left it at that. Friends were better than enemies, since people breaking up tended to be hostile towards one another.

    Glacing up, she gave a soft smile, watching what was going on. Raven scaring the cats, and a young teen that presented flowers to daddy, clearly attempting to chase him off. To what end? Well, teens were tricky ones to figure out sometimes. When it comes to the boy or girl no less. Though they were good youth more or less, all of them. Innocent though, more or less, which meant people here done a good job protecting them. One though knew how cold the world could truely be, though he kept that to himself more or less. Though it shows the way he looks after the younger ones, watching out for them even if he doesn't have much to say at times. He watches the male population even more closely, Kyra knew that and why of course....

    Anyways, she had glanced towards Devlin, watching him come her direction more or less, the lovely Pantera cat following him. Wesa would probably be along shortly, never very far from greeting his lady as he balances that and patroling the castle for unmentionables. Kyra's eyes did light up at seeing the only person at this time she considers actually family. The only person from her childhood that hasn't died on her so far. "Hello," a friendly greeting was sent his and Pantera's way. Winking at the lady in greeting as she was one of ones that over the years had landed a spot in Kyra's heart, despite the elf prank many years ago. Kyra got even for that, and then they shared more laughs together. "Welcome back," she spoke to Devlin, nudging a chair out for him to be able to sit down in, with a friendly smile. Then her attention shifted to Pantera as she came along, too, making sure to word it in a way that she would be able to address both at the same time. "How is your days so far?" Not a clue Kyra had that Devlin was injured. Probably a good thing that she didn't.

    (General Leo)

    Things were certainly starting to pick up around the castle as those who called it home began to rouse from their chambers or return from whatever errands had called them away. He chuckled as he first heard Kaden then Devlin giving their good natured humor. "You know what they say. Time marches on and unfortunately its marching straight over the top of me." He winked down to Wesa and Pantera as they gathered briefly at his feet. "Well hello there."

    He had no sooner got a greeting out when the long expected General of the Army's appeared before him. Leonidas first saw the scroll bareing the Empress's Royal seal then looked up into the woman's eyes. He had been given a description of what to expect from physical appearance to her military abilities and yet what he saw before him still gave him pause. Leonidas had heard there were those who had gone through the rebirth as this woman had but she was the first he had ever encountered. Standing straighter his fist came quickly to his chest followed by a bow of his head in a salute of respect. "General Tahwee it is an honor to greet you in the name of our Empress Amelee DeFanel Black. We have been eagerly awaiting your arrival. I am General Leonidas head of her Majesty's Imperial Guard. This is General Kaden Black the Military Ambassador from Quella' Silvermane. My daughter Saffron, my personal assistant Sir Wesa, and his lady Pantera." The General was motioning to each person in turn as he spoke their name and title. "This is Devlin Vindictious the keeper of this home, Raven Hawksney, and Kyra Elric." He had turned slightly to more easily indicate the others who were at a nearby table. Leonidas then returned his full attention to the newest arrival. "The Empress is out on business however she has asked that I show you to your chambers so that you can get settled in before meeting with her later this night."

    As he gave her time to give greetings or simply take in all he had just said Leonidas first looked at his daughter. "Thank you," he took the offered roses and leaned in to kiss her temple. The General then looked down to where Wesa had been waiting. "Keep an eye on the hall for me. When I return we will do our rounds." He then glanced over to Devlin and Kyra flashing a smile, "save that drink for me." Lastly his gaze fell on the man at his side. "I thank you my friend. I hope that it won't be long until we are able to do this again." Turning back to Tahwee he motioned to the stairs, "if you will follow me General."

    (Gaz)

    The young woman mimiced the man's gesture, bringing the hand bearing the scroll to her own chest and completing the bow with a practiced formality. Dark brown eyes cast themselves downward in acknowledgement then rose again as she once again straightened to a posture of attention. If she noticed the stares or studious expressions of those who had taken notice of her, she seemed not to notice it. She had encountered the same expressions on her trek here, insisting on completing the journey on foot to better learn of the area rather than the swifter and safer use of a horse or cart.

    She was silent a few seconds longer than would have been considered normal for a responce as she mentally translated the greeting and introductions. In the last year, her mentor had insisted on them both conversing entirely in the language most commonly used in the Eternal Lands. For that she was grateful, as the language was nearly nonexistant in the lands of her people who preferred greatly ther own native tongue. The many many introductions were far from overwhelming, in fact she found it a pleasant reminder of home and seemed to relax visibly. Introductions to each and every member of the home being visited the first time was a common custom. It seemed their two lands shared at least a few common traditions, which was reassuring to a stranger in a strange land.

    To each name, she would give a slight bow of greeting as she studied the face and took note of the name and their roles. The women of the group, a studious person might notice, recieved a slightly deeper bow, even the fuzzy creature who was considered family enough to recieve an introduction. No amount of mentor's instruction was able to wipe away the habit of giving deference to females of a home, who were considered the masters of land and home in much the same way men and their sons were in human culture. They all semed to already know who she was, and her identity announced nearly immediately. This seemed to throw her for a second as she had never met any of the people present. But she was quick to collect herself and give a polite bow once again, replacing the typical introductions with a more civil, "I am honored to meet you."

    At "General Leonidas head of her Majesty's Imperial Guard"s instruction, she would give a final polite bow and as best a responce as she could to any comments before nodding to him that she was ready to follow him to the chambers. "Thankyou General." she would respond with a strong, clear voice as she prepared to follow to these chambers he mentioned.

    Castle Main Empty Re: Castle Main

    Post  Admin Tue Aug 03, 2010 7:36 pm

    (Raven Hawskney)

    Well, it would appear to Raven that he completed his mission of sorts. To provide some entertainment, if not only to himself while people began to come into the room. Taking a couple steps back, as he didn't like to be crowded in, Raven glanced towards Kaden as he asked how he fared. Tired eyes gazed towards him, as he often found that he couldn't sleep much the previous night. This was around the time of year that his sleep was most often distured by images of a past that he had wished to forget. Thus he doesn't like to talk about it much to very many people, nor let on that there was a problem to those that he simply didn't want to bother. "Could be better, could be worse, nothing that I can complain about really..." he would answer Kaden, in a friendly tone while Raven kept a comfortable distance. Caustrophobia was a pain to deal with.

    He was the oldest of what is to be considered the younger generation, though his soul was not born into the world here. You can say that he actually held two nationalities. In a way. The soul that belongs to Raven was originally created in the very same area that Devlin Vindictious just came from. A'zyrla, a land that Raven dispised for a very good reason. That shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that knew his history, something that he wasn't even sure he told Maybelle the entire thing, and didn't speak of to the younger ones of techinically his generation. He was somewhere in between. Due to lost time, his soul could easily be older than anyone present in the room, but he spent that time as a child. So really, he is officially classified with the younger generation. He took it as his responsability to make sure they all didn't get into danger. Maybelle is the one that he calls sister though, to say that he would persue her would be akin to a slap in his face. He was really the last person close to Maybelle's age that her parents would have to worry about trying anything fishy with her. Nor would he allow ANYONE to get heavy handed with her. If he knew what was going on in the gardens or seen it, chances are he would have flipped at first, like any protective brother would do. Wouldn't take long before Maybelle would calm him down though, and since she wasn't offended or harmed before he accepted it, as least this incedent.

    He shook his head, as he seen Saffron enter the hall, and with everyone else coming in, he decided that he needed to block his mind off. To keep from picking up stray thoughts and to keep others from having an easy time picking at his head. He took his psionics lessons seriously, though his favorite one was the first lesson of year two. Making his teacher laugh when he answered that bonus question. Though even if someone did manage to pass through years of trial and errors at traps, if they didn't know what to look for, trying to decipher his true thoughts would confuse anyone. Yeah, he learned to lie well... Except to certain people. People who he would always keep a link to his mind open for.

    Saffron trying to get her dad to go give her mother flowers. Usual for a teenage girl to crush on the older man... Raven wanted to roll his eyes at this, as he didn't understand weomen at all, other than Maybelle. While he knew her well from knowing her most her life, she still liked to confuse him and mess with his head time to time. Saffie was pretty enough, but sooo not his type. Raven raised a brow as Devlin suggested to go see his wife. Did he even have a type yet? Not that he knew of, not knowing what he wanted in a girl. He had a tendency to come across as cold towards that idea, that fangirls weren't much a problem to him. There was one that was annoying, but she eventually got chased off.

    He wasn't quite sure what to think as he watched someone come though the door. Her manner of dress was not like theirs, and her teeth were black. Holding a scroll over her hands. Normally, Raven was very leery about people he didn't know, but this time he was more curious. Culture and psychology always facinated him, always interested to learn about new types. You never know who you will meet. The wife to Leonidas and mother to his children was kind and a pleasant person to talk to, and Saura was definatly one of the prettiest and unique in culture to be seen around here. About to object to the ruffle of his hair, as he was sooo not a kid anymore, he didn't have much a chance. It would seem as if Leonidas would be the one to take charge of the new... resident at the castle, Raven thought, nodding his head in greeting when he was introduced.

    "I am fine..." he would respond, glancing his way right before he would go join Kyra. "I guess since I am not needed, I should go ahead and go enjoy the outside..." He half headed said, as Raven sure as hell didn't want to endure a crushing teenager! Nothing against Saffie, but they can get pretty gushy, and yeah... Undoing ties on his shirt so that it would allow for his wings to grow and not rip his shirt, Raven headed towards the doorway. "Excuse me please?" he spoke to everyone his elven blood shining in his voice as he took silent steps towards the outside world, barefoot.

    {Continued in Castle Grounds}

    (Wesa)

    Ignoring the bird for now, particularly as he will get his, Wesa sat at Leonidas' feet, purring as he took into account that Pantera was enjoying her breakfast. He had eaten earlier, as he was lucky enough to scamper into the kitchens. Sometimes there were scraps left over from preparing breakfast to the castle that he was allowed to have. Today's was delicious no doubt. Very very tasty scrap meat. He simply wished to let his lady sleep as much as she could, being that there will be scraps for other times of the day, and he was able to present to her a mouse. Yeah, he did feel bad in a way, he tried to save some... Greeting his general with a warm mewl once he had his attention, for a sparse moment. This was usual, he had alot of demands on his time, that Wesa considers it an honor to have been allowed at his side all this time.

    Wesa's face would caress his lady as she nudged him, to let him know what she was up to. That she would go get herself some cream like Devlin had suggested. He licked his face, kissing it with his kitty ways, to let her know that he would be along shortly. Cream did sound good, and these days he didn't have to jump through portals and kill things to get it! For a while, Wesa wondered if he would ever get to savor that cream but finally, life calmed down enough that he could savor every last drop of it.

    He glanced towards Kaden, who would salute him the way a general would. Was this mouse more nuisance than he knew of? Or wait, maybe it was praise for making sure mice didn't get a chance to ruin people's days? He has that credit to share with Pantera, so humbly, he bowed his heat, and mewled warmly, thanking him for such praise. Wondering, what could he do to salute back? The best sign of respect that he could think of would be to circle and rub up against his legs for a moment. So doing that if it were allowed, he watched Saffron enter the room, and talk to her father. While the adult humans were talking, he would greet her in the same way, and pause as a newcomer enter the door.

    Upon his introduction, he moved away from Saffron and moved to greet the odd looking woman in his own ways. Once that was done, he heard Leo's voice, and the request to watch over the halls. Giving a mewl to show that Wesa understood his tasks, he would move to the side so the new General, whatever her name was, he couldn't exactly remember it could move past him and not trip her. Once it shown that the crowd was starting to part, Wesa glanced over towards his lady. Even while doing his honored duties, she was always on his mind. Yes, his eyes unlike most toms, stayed only on one midnight maiden. He would move to join her, for if he didn't know how to treat her like her ladyship should be treated, she would have left him in her dust a long time ago.

    (Kaden)

    Stepping back and out of the way Kaden quietly listened to Leonidas's introductions to the newly arriving General. A simple nod of greeting was given followed by the traditional salute of his fist thumping against his chest as his name and title were called. "An honor to finally meet you General Tahwee, I must say we have all been awaiting your arrival quite anxiously." A small smile moved over his lips as azure hues once again skimmed over the others within the room. Devlin was right in stating that he looked to be needing a drink, he definitely needed something strong if only to take the edge off. Here lately for some reason or other he had been feeling overly restless and the why of the matter was far beyond him. Not even the long drawn out spar with his friend and companion Leonidas managed to fully unwind him as he had hoped. A deep breath was drawn in and held before releasing, perhaps...just perhaps something was bothering the Master and he himself was getting the tail end of it. One thing he could do would be to find out if such was the case was to find Daemon and ask if his sibling if he as well had been feeling odd here of late.

    Making sure that Leonidas had the situation well in hand with the new General, Kaden turned and moved towards the stair leading upwards into the resident's chambers. If he wanted to present himself to his elder sibling he would surely need to freshen up abit...for if Daemon knew their morning practice had been canceled so that Kaden could spar with the human General of the Imperial Guard...he would never hear the end of it. Lost in his own troubled thoughts the Shadowknight General almost missed the glance of his dear friend's young daughter.

    Giving a pause in his forwards progress another nod of greeting would be given. "Good day Lady Saffron." Being but a gentleman he moved towards the young lady and presented a bow before taking her right hand into his. Lifting it he brushed his lips over the air just above the pale flesh of her knuckles, "Tis always a pleasure to see you." Releasing her hand he straightened to his full height. Full lips parted to say more but closed with a snap when the Empress's urgent command intruded upon his mind. "Great...looks like I won't be cleaning myself up anytime soon..." he mumbled to himself erasing all thoughts of the heated bath awaiting him in his chambers. Drawing his attentions once again back to Saffron. "I would enjoy nothing more but to stay and chat but as usual duty calls." With that he moved towards the outer doors heading to where the Empress specifically asked him to await her arrival.

    (Saffron)

    A genuine smile turns up the corners of pink petaled lips in response to Devlin’s words. Throughout her years she’d come to think of him as a sort of eccentric uncle- one of the ones that was always interesting. The curiosity almost killed her, wondering where he would go for little more than a month at a time. However, nosiness was not a very lady-like trait, so she never thought it polite to ask. Returning the jestful wink, dark lashes meet playfully, momentarily hiding a pacific-fire orb from view.

    Hearing a familiar voice, her attention turned to Raven’s hasty exit, where was he off to in such a hurry?Though sometimes she gave him a hard time, she really did enjoy his company, he was so polite and intelligent-she’d always loved having philosophical conversations with him. But my, that boy could be strange at times.

    As her eyes followed him out the door, pacific-fire blues come to rest upon the face of the foreign woman. Saffron’s mother had always stressed the importance of treating others equally no matter their appearance, so saffron would not judge her harshly just because she looked different. After all, she seemed like a most powerful woman and Saffie could tell that she would be able to learn much from her if she gave saffie the time. As she was introduced, Saffron returned a graceful curtsy to the woman and smiled deeply noticing that she’d received a slightly deeper bow than the men. That was new. She wondered why…her curiosity was definitely attempting to get the best of her again.

    After a few moments of trying to make sure her acute awareness of Kaden’s proximity wasn’t blatantly obvious to everyone else, a sickly feeling came over her. Her heart sank into the floor- without a word he was turning to approach the stairs to his chamber where she most certainly could not follow. Within a blink of an eye, her heart was again thrust into her breast, thrashing so wildly she was alarmingly certain he could hear. Pacific-fire blues locked with his heavenly azure orbs and for a moment she was oblivious to her surroundings.

    In gracious turn to his bow, she curtsied elegantly. Saffie had the extraordinary ability to keep a collected and graceful exterior in situations such as these-a trait learned from many times observing her parents in diplomatic situations. Sincere soprano tones melodically float forth in response to his kind words “Good day, Kaden.” A string of perfect pearls peak past parted peach pillows in response to such a familiar greeting. She hoped he’d not only forgive the informality of her greeting, but come to find it pleasing. Her nerves began to sizzle as he took her hand, his lips just hovering just over her silken skin fragrant with the pleasing aroma of vanilla, her knees threatening to buckle if he’d held on any longer. But on the outside, the calm pleasant figure of an intelligent young woman. “like wise, I’m certain.’ her ears longed to hear more of the masculine timbre of his voice, but he suddenly stopped as if he were interrupted. Upon his explanation, she gave another graceful curtsy. “Then as usual, the call must be answered.”

    A soft sigh escaped her lungs as she watched him turn and exit the room. Then suddenly, at the thought of her reply, a quick click of her tongue and roll of her eyes came to pass across her features. ‘Then as usual, the call must be answered?! Fie! Smooth as Shakespeare, genius! Couldn’t you think of something better to say?’ Saffie scolded herself in thought as usual. Though her response wasn’t ghastly, she was extremely hard on herself-and in her mind-it was ridiculous.

    Trying to divert her thoughts, she wondered what more she could do to fill her extra time today, she was finished with her work-her mother was busy, and so was her father, darren was most likely following Maybelle around and leo II was most certainly lurking around wishing he was with Maybelle. Ugh, So much drama. Finally, she decided she would very much like to visit the reflection pool tucked deeply within the gardens. However, she would stay put for the moment, as to not let it seem as if she was following Kaden out the doorway.

    Post  Admin Tue Aug 03, 2010 7:36 pm

    (Devlin)

    Devlin scooped Pantera up with his left hand, but not before stroking down the back of Wesa as he approached as he said with a low timber, "Hope you don't mind that I pick the little lady up, there's too many legs to get in the way. It would be a shame to see her get hurt." It was a feeble excuse for he knew the cats would get move out of the path in their own passive way. A large gentle hand would go round her feline midsection lifting her in the air. Subconsciously he would gather her towards his frame and without thinking hissed softly in between his teeth as by his own doing he had cradled her towards his forgotten wound on his left side. Quickly he switched Pantera over to the right as if he meant to do so, smile plastered upon his face as if nothing had happened though he was counting in his head as he waited for the pain to subside.

    He chuckled lightly at Leonidas' comment with a slight grin, shaking his head as he was only jesting and that he wholly disagree with the general. He stood aside as introductions were being made to the newcomer. Iridescent hues only flicked over towards Tahwee as he nodded and said, "Pleased to meet you, if there is anything you should need, just let me know and I'll see what can be done to acquire it." He was indeed curious about this new tribe of 'amazons'. This would not be the first time of course that he has encountered people such as she. There were plenty after all or at least it seemed to be so over at Qu'ella Silvermane. He could only assume that perhaps since she is a woman traveling on her own with no need for an escort that there were most probably some similiarities. Hence, her appearance or mannerisms didn't phase him at all, though his respect for her had gone up a bit when he heard her effort to speak the common tongue heavily laden with her accent.

    Devlin would watch Raven leave with a slight cant of his head. Raven was an averial like his father... Strange to imagine Mikhail with a child, but still even though he knew him before, he understood that he was much like him in ways that was odd. Claustrophobia wasn't something new in the race. Their need for wide open spaces and to feel the air move would be something akin to paradise for them. Permitted that it did not rain or snow of course.

    His grin turned roguishly charming as he recieved the wink from Saffron. That girl, he was fond of her as if she was his own daughter or neice. He had watched her grow up from being a precocious child along with Maybelle up to their ears in mischieviousness along with Leo, Darren, Raven and the Emperial twins to one of grace and beauty. He always had time for the children if only for a moment in passing. Though children no longer he still saw them as such if only in memory. Devlin would bet his right hand, she would be the one to give her father salt and pepper hair one day. He quickly averted his eyes, pretending to be distracted by something as he could sense that she seemed rather disappointed in Kaden's responsibilities. Without thought his mind turned rather towards whether he could help her in some way. That was until he realized that if he were to do so, Leonidas might find out and have his head! Good gods, match making and encouraging a young girl's heart was certainly out of his league. Still, it was not in his to leave Saffie just in the hallway so even though he had already taken a step away towards Kyra, he would turn a little as he said to her, "Saffie, walk with me, tell me how you are faring and I'll give you a wine cooler to quench your thirst after you've filled my ears with your musings." His smile was gentle enough as he gestured with his head for her to follow him using the promise of an adult drink to sweeten his indulgence.

    Devlin walked towards Kyra, careful to veil and hide what was within his hues. His voice was joyful as he said, "Kyra, my sweetheart, how have you been? I'm good, and thanks hon, it's great to be back." He stood in front of her as he carefully put Pantera down upon her lap. He bent down to plant a kiss upon her forehead... Straightening he continued, "Lazing around? Taking a break?" He winked at her for surely he was only kidding. He knew Kyra worked hard and she did everything well. But something nagged him in his heart, that the childhood friend he knew was not immortal and she would age like some of his friends were doing. For odd reasons that he didn't know why, he sometimes thought of it. Brushing the morbid thoughts from his mind he said, "Hey, there's work to be done, my dear. The cats demand cream, they're starving. I mean look at their skinny legs... And this young lady here is dying... I mean really really dying for a wine cooler... And me... Well damn... With all these demands, I'll just you know... Stick with water." His intonation held a hint of amusement, trying to keep the laughter out of it. Really it wasn't that bad, but dramatizing and exaggerating for giggles never hurt anyone.

    (Attrited Poison)

    The steps were taken, moving aside to those exiting, with a whisper of velvet and a slide of those haunting depths. The place hummed with so many people, outside and even now within, as the woman drew forward over the threashold. She wasn't sure who to ask in where to find the man she was seeking. Of course the feeling of being swarmed around by so many unsettled the shadow within her bloodstream. Like a coiling snake it hissed as the abundance of scents rose to her nostrils, and the beating of hearts thrumbed in those delicate shaped ears. It was all a conglomoration, of sights, sounds, and smells. It could be over empowering if she could not control the urges or the fluxuation with a firmness derived from much practicing.

    Luciouse ruby arches parted subtly to enhale the air to lungs, as she drew away from the entrance, and stepped just off to the side. Her gaze flicking over the nearest of people towards her, as hands settle towards her sides with fingers partially curling and unfurling to settle herself. She wasn't much of a social creature, and hadn't been for a few years now.. She'd become as solitary and apart of the wilds where she'd been attacked in. Rolling her shoulders wasn't the wisest of guestures to be made, it had her brows twitch with the pain, until her hand came up to rest over that gentle slope where bandages lay beneath the fabric.

    Seeing someone about to move from the room, she guestured with a hand to pause her a moment (Saffron) even as she spoke incase the guesture was missed. " Excuse me.. " she cleared her throat, even as the vocals where smooth like finest of fabrics gliding across silken flesh to heat and draw the flush of color uptowards the surface. " I am looking for a.. Devlin.. " she paused as she went through the conversation of Cypress on who it was to look for. " Devlin Vindictiouse.. Do you know of him or where about these lands he could be found? " Yet even as she spoke of the name the last had such a familiar ring to it.. Yet how.. that was the problem, she couldn't recall, or perhaps it wasn't as familiar as it seemed. In either case, those chilling depths cascade over the woman's finely wrought features, innocense abounded by scent, and she curbed herself from leaning in to just inhale the delicate fragrence, that was just far to rare. Oh she could be a tasty treat, there was no doubt about that. However, she was not here for treats... No and so she focused her thoughts elsewhere. Awaiting the young woman's words, even as she caught a taint in the air, that had the small delicate fibers of her hair to stand on end at the nape of her neck, and a low sounding to rumble within her chest. Though it might not be heard by most because it was of a decible that was to low for most ears to pick up on.

    (Kyra)

    Another thing that hadn't changed as the years had gone by. The ribbing that goes on between friends. The ribbing of which I speak does not just apply to Kyra and Devlin, but to anyone who are friends in tis place. Ribbing is not that only thing that is shared between the best of friends. Tears of joy, tears of sorrow, laughter as well as pain. Love isn't just between a man and a woman that have commited to eachother. It comes in all forms, platonic and intimate, as even a love between a mother and her child can be as beautiful as the rising sun after an evening of rain. The love that binds the best of friends has the potential to endure strikes from clubs made of the iron that occasionally falls from the skies. The love that is shared between friends is the kind of love that Kyra knew best, as the more intimate of the emotion, she was very much a clutz in.

    With that said, Kyra watched the scene between Kaden and Saffron feeling very cold. She did know what attraction felt like, as even she had felt that. To crush, that was a feeling that was forign for her. While that made her feel cold inside, Kyra refused to let it get to her. Not to let it bother her that there wasn't any helpful advice that she could give the young lady woman to woman. There were others that if she wanted it, others that would be more qualified to give it. Kyra had wondered to herself why she had thought that, being as Saffron never asked for any advice in this moment. Hazzarding a guess from the response she gave when Kaden left the scene, one might say she could have said worse. Again, Kyra didn't comment on it, being as she wasn't qualified to do so in this. Over twenty years, the blond didn't lay claim to anyone, nor have they shown that kind of interest in her.

    Who could blame them? Of all the weomen in this castle, she wasn't the most lovely of the roses. She had a pretty face, and her hair was nice. Elric wasn't obese or anything like that. The prosthetics that she used to get by on constantly rubbed the wounds inflicted on her self esteem at a young age. Which is why Kyra is so dedicated to the things that she could do. Otherwise her constant state of depression would swallow her whole and there would be no saving her from herself. Having friends that you can count on to act like a mountain when the winds howl is also another thing that helps Kyra keep herself out of the quicksand when it threatens to pull her under and smother her. Which was why the blond chose to spend most her time in this area, this is where her friends were. Or at least most of them. What more reason than that did she need? While she was afraid to let people get close, dispite her nickname was Silent Night, Kyra isn't too fond of the thought of being alone in the world.

    Silent Night... Yeah, that was something that Kyra had changed in and yet remain the same. Use to be she would hardly talk to anyone. Keeping her thoughts and her oppinions to herself. When she was bound to serve, that was a habit that was hard to break. Making people think she was a mute wasn't exactly what those she served wanted. Now and then when her depression gets the best of her, Kyra will revisit that mindset, but not so much anymore. Again, with the help of good friends, she kept her head above all that. Silent Night... Dispite her prostetics, she had enough practice in stealth, that those that pissed her off would have no warning when she knocked their arses out.

    Kyra had blushed as she felt Devlin's lips against her temple. It was his normal way of greeting her, she would have reached for a cheek if he hadn't distracted her with a furry form in her lap. Though care was taken that she wasn't just dropped un-cerimoniously onto Kyra's prostetics to leave Pantera with a sore bottom. Kyra had enough practice with handling animals to be confident enough to be able to control her fake arm to be able to pick her up without harming her small lithe form. Though Kyra knew her lap was softer than the forearm of the prosthic limb, and thus the more fitting spot to allow the lady to lay if she chose to. Her left arm, the one in which she can actually feel, would move should Pantera be consenting, to softly touch and stroke her silky fur, or to scratch those spots that kitties love attention to.

    "Oh, don't you know love... I absolutly detest work." She didn't bat an eye in replying to her tease. "I need to be beaten to an inch of my life for my laziness... Been nothing but a sloth since you left..." She lifted gently one of Pantera's paws to examine the leg in which Devlin spoke of. "Small and wiry indeed," she commented, her eyes lighting up, looking into Pantera's to show she was kidding. Her paws really looked fine, and she looked like she was in good health. "Nothing that a bowl of warm creme can't fix." Glancing up to Saffron who hadn't made it over yet, a wine cooler shouldn't do much harm, as there were worse drinks at the bar.

    Hoisting Pantera to her better shoulder, Kyra slowly stood, to not knock the lady off the perch. She didn't mind her or Wesa tagging along as she went into the kitchens, to first pour a bowl of fresh cream. Forming the correct circle in her mind, she touched it, warming it to the right amount before she put everything back. Grabbing a pitcher and a glass, filling the pitcher with water. picking up the handle, and picking up the bowl as well with her fake hand, making sure it was secure before she went to the bar, to grab the favored wine cooler of Saffron. Trapping the cooler under her arm while her good hand held the glass, and managed to trap the pitcher under her other one. Holding the bowl with her fake hand. A bit tricky, but she managed to get back pretty quickly without dropping anything.

    Hearing a new voice, Kyra looked up, normally wouldn't have paid much attention to it, but this one was definatly odd. She was speaking to Saffron, asking for Devlin, or where he might be, when the Devlin she was looking for was practically right in front of her. This told her that she may know of whom she was seeking, but didn't know what he looked like. The woman's body language did not suggest she was some messenger lady, the air around her seemed to be really cold. Kyra placed the requests on the table in which she retrieved, she gently picked Pantera off her shoulder and set her on the table so that she would be able to enjoy her treat. Feeling that Wesa would surely hop up to join his maiden, Kyra didn't take her attention off this woman. Kyra lowered her attention from Coven long enough to use her abilities to lower the temperature of the pitcher's contents, to allow Devlin to take them. Not gonna pour it for him, being as he could do that on his own.

    Out of the corner of her eyes, her attention stayed on everything that was going on, having a feeling that there would be more to this meeting than meets the eyes. Not sure if this was a good or bad thing at all. Raising an eyebrow to Devlin, posing a silent question as she watched him out of the corner of her golden eyes. Looking for a sign of what her charismatic friend wanted her to do. He was one of those men that had a tendancy to attract some scary people, so playing possessive to chase them off wasn't anything new to her.

    Castle Main Empty Re: Castle Main

    Post  Admin Tue Aug 03, 2010 7:36 pm

    (Pantera)

    She had followed along quietly knowing in her heart of hearts her most cherished furred knight will follow as soon he gets that chance to. She purred softly her body was lithe and slender ready to take yet one more step forward but soon felt hands around her torso. Her entire body had went entire limp in those delicate hands and rather surrpising soft ones. Which brought out a soft delicate purring giggle as that thought of Devlin having soft delicate hands caressed her mind. Her lithe form would turn gently only to tuck ever so gently up against the masculine frame. She had a great perch for the moment being able to see people better.

    All to soon those very nice hands that had petted her had deposited her rather gently into a lap. She turn her head to gaze warmly at Kyra silent mewl was all that was needed to express her delight at being allowed to sit here. She heard the teasing banter that was exchanged. It seems that Devlin seems to be in a right good mood indeed which is pleasing to see. She purred out softly once more her entire body went lax in that gentle hand. As soon as her paws and body where placed to Kyras good shoulder she got comfy. She had taken care to tuck her paws under her and her eyes had closed to half slits.

    The steady thrum of a purr begins deep and low the sign of a contented kitten and a happy one. She caught the whiff of fresh cream being heated which resulted in the tip of her pink raspy tounge to grace along her lips for a fraction of a second. Its amazing how perfectly poised she is in maintaing the precarious balance she has. She was adept at this since she is used to sitting on shoulders. Soon though she was lowered to a table. She tucked her tail tight to her lithe frame and adjusted herself.

    Skinny bah she knew that was the reference made often tonight about being skinny. Prefers to look neat and trim and ever so dainty, rather a good thing her favored treat of cream never went to hips. Why she belives Wesa be appalled if she became as round as rum keg. Her head dipped low to lap at the cream while watching the people that gathered she even noticed the new lady. Purred softly her greetings to anyone and everyone in her own silent ways.

    (Saffron)

    Saffie's pacific fire orbs widened gleefully at Devlin's offer. How she loved wine coolers and Devlin was one of the only ones who would actually slip her one now and again, besides Kyra ofcourse. Plus she'd always loved conversation with him-he was so wonderfully interesting and he quenched the thirst of her innocent curiosity with candid answers to her inquiries on more than one occasion. Plus she did need someone to talk to about the expectations of men who had perspective. She wondered if he would be the one to speak to about such matters-she certainly couldn't talk to her father, and her brothers were still boys themselves. Her beloved friend Maybelle was as versed as she was about boys...but it was men she was interested in; well, one man in perticular, and she was honestly stumped. Although, she would never ask him in public where prying ears could listen in, but perhaps when they could discuss such matters in private, and only then would she let her curiousity take hold.
    Saffron began to follow Dev, when she noticed the foreign voice of someone new. A warm smile came to the sweet peach pillows of her lips in greeting to the woman (Coventina). Pacific fire blues gave undivided attention to the woman as she spoke all the while wondering who she was and what she wanted with Dev. She was most obviously not from around here. Saffie had never met her before, but there was something about her that was striking. Soprano tones float forth in response, "Oh Dev? He's right here." Turning to gesture toward him she spoke out "Devlin. There's someone to see you." Her slender hand came to rest upon his shoulder to further grasp his attention.

    (Saffron)

    Who was this? Wesa had come forth as he noticed someone new speaking towards Saffron first thing while entering the castle. While before he was advancing towards the young lady as more emphasis as the reminder that she may join them, however, being as he was supposed to watch over the hall, and the fact the girl he watched grow from the time the kitten (Saffron) was in her mother's belly. Understanding by human standards, she was still a kitten, thus she needed to be protected. Animal empathy told Wesa that this woman (Coven) had the potential to be dangrous, and while she was around the young innocent lady, she must be kept a close eye on. Never the less, Leonidas asked him to keep an eye on the castle main, so his duty is what he must do.

    Wesa came close enough to sniff at her ankles, being as that was about all he can reach for now. Not to use his most known ability unless the need came. For now as long as this two legged didn't make any threatening moves towards Saffron, or anyone else in this place that needed his protection, he would stay as he is. For now, nothing of the sort came forth from this stranger, so there was no need in Wesa's eyes to do anything that might scare the young lady of his master and beloved human. Being as the cat thought the world of her, he moved his lithe body around her ankles, to show affection towards Saffron.

    Wesa's ears twitched as he heard a comment about skinny legs... His furry arse his legs are like twigs! Let him grow and pounce on the man, then we will see who has skinny legs and who is the comfy seat cushion! As the request was put in for cream, Wesa will have to forgive him. Even as luck tended to have it, something will happen that will delay him from enjoying such a treat. Even if it grew cold, he usually got it in the end, even if Kyra had to warm it up for him again. Would that be the case this time? Wesa waited as he leaped up on the table, watching the Castle Main area, tilting his head in a way to suggest to his lady to go ahead and have her fill. He wishes to indulge after he knows that everything is okay before he does so. Such is the requirement of one who is known as The Furred Knight by Pantera. The call of duty came before pleasures, so he must act honorably and respectably. Which makes the enjoyment of the creature comforts alot more pleasurable.

    (Whisper)

    The gentle breeze lifted the silken strands of Whispers hair, offering somewhat of a comfort to her on edge nerves. To her left and right, people were coming and going from the grand courtyard to the front doors of the castle, this was for sure a very thriving kingdome and from what her gaze had beheld earlier, she could understand why.

    Inhailing sharply, whisper took one then two steps further forward until she mingled her way inside. the castle doors. As they were opened to her, Whisper stood in awe of its beauty before entering inside. It was unlike anything she had ever seen. "where am I?" whisper said more to herself than anyone as she stepped out of the small group that had entered inside to better view the castles decor and to see how the people here faired with such lavish conditions.

    Unconciously, Whisper ran a hand down the silken clad thigh in hopes of at least looking like she might "Blend " in, but in truth she was way out of her element.

    Well the one thing she could do would to seek a servant or someone out that could tell her where she was and if it were possible to rest until she got her bareings straight and figured out where she would go from here. Slowly turning to her right, she gazed at the people passing by ..hmmm ? Whom to ask?

    (Devlin)

    Devlin rolled his eyes even knowing that Kyra teased. But being beaten... Well no one would dare to do that, even he wouldn't. He knew Kyra almost as well as the back of his hand. He knew she had a tough life and there were times when he wished that she wouldn't be so hard on herself. True, she never complained, but sometimes it showed through within those harvest gold eyes of hers. The depression, the low self-esteem, keeping herself seemingly aloof. In the beginning, even he could somehow understand and throughout the years, he had hoped that one day she would get out of the rut. That despite her limbs that isn't what people saw first. She was still human, can still feel and see. She had a good heart and since being in the midst of friends, the years had been kind to her. He knew that Kyra didn't dare to hope or dream, but he had still seen the wistfulness of what ifs and such. He did what he could for her, being friendly by ragging on her and trying to point out anything that might be of interest to her. He canted his head looking at her as he said in a smooth tone, "So are you saying you need a vacation? Some rest and respite to replenish your joie de vivre?" A glimmer of a smile played along his lips as they quirked in amusement.

    He followed Kyra and watched as she poured drinks, taking care of the cats first. His smooth hands reached for the wine cooler pouring it in a rare lightly pink flute, slicing off a lemon only to twist and skewer it with a splinterless toothpick with a sweet cheery on top, leaving the fruit to hang delicately on it's side along the edge. He saw that Wesa was waiting patiently for his turn at the cream, but he really didn't have to, after all the shallow bowl was certainly large enough for two cats to sup contently at the same time. His hand went out to stroke his head as he said, "Wesa, it's no fun for a lady to drink alone, go right on ahead, the castle isn't going to fall if you keep your eyes off it for a few moments to dine." Turning to Pantera as he in turn patted her head as he continued, "Be a dear and ask him to join you."

    As he was pre-occupied with decorating the drink and watching the furry ones, he had heard someone come from behind, choosing to not turn around at the first sound of his name. Great... Now what? He knew that a female had walked through the entrance even before her feet had crossed the threshold. He sighed inwardly for only the shadowed taint within his bloodstream would react by rousing it's beastial head and urging him to turn around to have a first glance on the arrival. But Devlin was well used to its tactics by now and since he knew he would eventual look, ignored the instinctive call. He felt the young girl's hand upon his shoulder, even as he rounded on her, not even raising his hues to look behind Saffron. His chiseled features was engaged with arresting charm as he cleared his throat with a slight cough in a manner that he was about to speak. His tone was velvet warm as he said to Saffie, "My lady, your drink is served." He held up the flute delicately in between his fingers, awaiting her to take the promised treat. "I hope it is to your liking." Once she would respond and take the glass only then would he break contact to see who was seeking him.

    Upon the first look came a flicker of recognition within his iridescent firey hues. Shock did not register upon his strong planed features as he realized it was she. Yet, it was as if a curtain came upon his face, with the tightening of his jaw, even as his back stiffened and shoulders subtly held back from the pull. His once soften orbs who looked upon Saffron only a few seconds before went aflamed with a temperal storm behind it. They glittered with a menance and he could feel a growl that almost came to escape deep in his corded throat. The pain upon his side seemed to have multiply by the rememberance of a few nights ago. He raised a brow suggesting that he couldn't be bothered but that he'll take the time as necessary. In his most politest steeled tone, even as the words came out clipped he addressed her (Coven), "I am Devlin. Is there something I can do to help?" There were no words of welcome or greeting that fell from his lips, with just a few mere words, his intonation could not be mistaken. It held a chilled air that she did not belong here. As if he could sense her empathy, his hand went up protectively on Saffron's shoulder. A warning that she was treading on his territory. Not that he had any fanciful thoughts on the young girl, but a clear sign that if she were to be harmed someone was going to pay in spades.

    She was even more bewitching in person. Long satiny looking locks that complimented her flawless skintone and enhanced those eyes that had haunted him since that night. The perfect slope upon her cheekbones, down to her narrow nose could only set in stone what he may have suspected. A full figure and she was taller than he thought she would be. Just the way she stood, he could tell many things about her. That she had little tolerance for nonsense and would if goaded go for the kill. But he had bested her once, and if need be he would again for he realized he had an ace up his sleeves. Only now heard the warning signs of the gleefulness from the darkness in his blood. He cursed himself for not heeding it before, but it was too late now. There was no time for contemplation, or to think how best to handle the situation.

    (Shade Nighthawk)

    Having entered through another door to not intrude on what may be happening in the garden at the moment, being as it didn't seem like the time to let people know that he was there, Shade entered through another entrance than the one that was being occupied by what was going on through the main. Being as that he didn't need to see really. He knew the place well, given Shade has friends here that he likes to visit. Stepping into an area that had Devlin, Saffron, and a few other faces that he knew... Wow... Saffers has grown since he last seen her... Speaking with an unfamiliar face, so any more would be a crowd.

    Looking around, he watched another come through the doors looking as if she were lost. Casting his blue eyes around, Mercedes must be busy at the moment. Happens time to time, and today from what he seen there were alot of people traveling around. She must be busy greeting, meeting, showing someone around, whatever her job entails. Canting his head to the side, even though he isn't a resident, he can perhaps at least talk to the woman. "Looks like the Chamberlain is having a busy day." Shade adressed the woman in silks (Whisper), platonically and with the respect that a lady would deserve. "Perhaps I may be of assistance at least until Lady Mercedes can get caught up on her duties to the castle?"

    (Attrited Poison)

    what a lovely sweet woman to heed her succulent words, and herald the one whom she was in search for. Certainly it couldn’t have been so easy? Oh but it was, and those eyes flicked to the ponder the backside of the male figure who stood facing the tender, and stroking a couple of felines. What broad shoulders he had, and as those cobalt’s drifted downward, tapered into a narrowing waist, with oh my.. a ripe curved apple bottom in rather snug leather trousers. Surely Cypress would not be so cruel to have her meeting with such a delightful scenery before her?.. Oh but the woman was wily and far too unpredictable. It could be most vexing indeed.

    Still her gaze looked towards the woman whom she’d spoken with (Saffron) to murmur once more with tantalizing weavings. “ Thank you my dear..” Yet no more was spoken, as she felt a great deal of eyes turn upon her person. Oh she detested being viewed as if she were a spectacle on parade. What makes them think they were any better than she was? That unconscious shift of her stature stiffened with the oblique glances, and she met those eyes with icy depths, as if to tell them it was not right to stare. Even as booted feet shifted, as the tomcat moved forward to sniff at her ankles. That growl continued to thrum deep within her. But she didn’t like the way the shadow within was reacting.. No it was coiling ever more tightly and running through her veins in a frenzy at an answering call of some sort...

    It was then vermilion turned upon her, and if looks could shoot daggers those eyes where deadly when risen to meet those liquidated pools. Alabaster drew taunt, and that graceful chin rose in silent challenge as clipped unfriendly words suffused from a delicious.. no threatening mouth of the man Devlin she was indeed looking for, while her shoulder sound throbbed stronger with her pulse rising. Perhaps she should forgo this rendezvous, and for once disobey a direct order from Cypress? No Coven had never done such in the three years within the woman’s diabolical employment. Instead she rose a white elegant hand to slide fingers beneath the lapel of her corseted velvet jacket, and plucked the sealed letter from within. Not believing this man deserved words in kind she could be frustratingly silent, however, as her hand extended towards him fingers flicked the letter outward for him to grasp the seal of wax facing upwards so he could see for himself why it was she would come here. “ Are not we just a might tetchy?” Husky vocals enamoring the very air between them to reach his ears. Oh yes.. she knew.. she knew who this individual was, and Coventina Sunniva was not at all pleased. That part of her wanted to finish what had only truly begun in the woods of her homelands.

    Yet around so many? She was not foolish, nor had she not seen how he became protective to the innocent Saffron beside him. Was he trying to tell her something? Pity that he truly had nothing to worry over.. she was not here for the woman, nor for any of those who seemed to be watching the pair with unrepentant wonder, and wariness. Yet she would dare further still to step forward closer to the man as he took his time in taking in the full wonder of the Attrited Poison before him, and she inhaled lightly the scent of the wound upon his covered torso. Those eyes seemed to mock him as they gleamed with a pleasure that he had not left the scrap between them unharmed. For she was most in ill content that he had dared to mar her features, even if only temporarily. With a shift of her head to look up into his features, those lines of pink revealed themselves upon that smooth plane.

    Yet she eased back shortly after with a tell tale tempting grin to pivot lightly in facing the bar with the couple of steps it took to reach the counter, and giving her profile, and partial back to the man, and arch a brow, just so temptation in wanting to harm the man more would not become to unresisting. After all she did not believe that Devlin would be too thrilled with the letter when read.

    Castle Main Empty Re: Castle Main

    Post  Admin Tue Aug 03, 2010 7:37 pm

    (Kyra)

    It was not a matter that Kyra thought she was better than the woman in front of her. The woman who conveyed an icy aura, while looking for a man who was right in front of her. Who seemed to carry herself in a way to demand the attention that she is receiving yet glare at others for staring at her. Devlin seemed to know who this one was, Kyra realized as the answer to her question was given, the moment she watched Devlin in a way place himself between this stranger and Saffron subtle enough to perhaps not alarm the girl. Figuring it out between the ways he greeted her and working with him all these years, and that movement, this one was someone to be cautious of at the very least. Body language can be interesting tools to work with and to read given you know a person well enough.

    Saffron in this moment, her innocence had truly shown. It wasn't a bad thing to have, and in a way, Kyra envied her for it. No grudge against her, in fact, it was all the more reason to protect her if she didn't think highly of her parents. Kyra doesn't remember what innocence felt like, having hers stolen in her youth. It had helped shape her into what she was today, so like Devlin had thought earlier, she wouldn't complain of it. Not everyone needed to look at the world in an innocent light; the plus side to not being innocent is you tend to see things that others need not see, and know more about how to protect those that are. Faintly, she heard the comment that the stranger made towards Devlin. Kyra didn't know what happened between the two to cause him to be on edge, but she knew one thing. Devlin doesn't act this way unless there was a damn good reason for it. THAT was all that Kyra needed to know!

    As a large, Kyra preferred the company of cats to dogs. Like her, they were smaller, quieter as a norm, and they are less upkeep and have around. Well, Kyra does have to maintain herself, or her prosthetics may fail on her, and make her completely useless to everyone around her. There was a part of her that was like a wolf. They are loyal to their pack on a norm, and something to not really be trifled with at the same time cunning. There were a few people that Kyra didn't want to be pissed off at her, but she was no coward. The stranger was technically a guest of the castle, even though she was here to see Devlin, so Kyra wouldn't overstep the boundaries of what is or is not acceptable, but neither would she show fear. Was not her place to say that she wasn't welcome here, when she didn't know what transpired between the two of them, and the castle belonged to the Empress?

    Warmth would return to her eyes while she regarded Saffron, with a smile to let her know that everything was okay. A friendly wink would be sent her way. None of Devlin, Wesa, or Kyra's actions was her fault, and it wouldn't do to accidentally cause her to think that way. She had watched Devlin prepare her drink for her, tucking that information of its making away in her mind for later use. She knew her way around a bar, but is quick to admit that she knew not everything. Kyra didn't mind slipping her a wine cooler, or being a part of it now and then. The alchol level of it wasn't that much in total. Beginner's drink really, and alright for a young lady. While she was showing warmth towards the young lady, a cant of her head invited Saffron to have a seat. Yeah, Kyra was in one of her more quiet moments, but it will soon pass. No way did she want to make Saffie feel like an odd heel in this, or that she was unwanted.

    However, Kyra's attention went back towards the newcomer as she had gotten a little TOO close to Devlin for Kyra's comfort. Lips threatening to curl into a snarl as she seen THAT look in Coven's eyes, while she focused on a specific area on Devlin's chest. This was probably one of those moments of which Kyra could be called too perceptive for her own good. Those eyes mocking him while she seemed to take pleasure in something about an area of his chest while putting some focus on faint lines of the stranger's cheek. The peices to the puzzle were fitting together, Kyra just lacked the where and the why. Wondering why she didn't see that something happened to him before, but at the same time keeping in mind that if Devlin didn't want something known, he would do what it took to conceal it. Kyra was upset that something happened to him, but knew that chiding him about not telling her was like hitting her head against a brick wall at times. She knew him well enough to have hid this from her even if he knew this woman was coming. Knowing Devlin well enough that if he knew this one was coming to make sure their meeting was away from everyone, even her! That was just how he was towards those he cared about to want to protect, and Kyra as much as she wanted to chew on him for hiding the fact that something happened on his vacation she couldn't. Even as irritated and pissed off she was that it happened, she couldn't really get mad and give him a tongue lashing for it because she would have done the same damn thing! It all trails back to her musings about friends and the love that can be shared between them. Nor was she going to make it obvious in the chance that Saffron didn't pick up on this, not wanting to frighten or upset the girl.

    What did happen subconciously on Kyra's behalf is a perk of her head, and a defensive stance over Devlin. She seemed to have lost interest in Saffron, and that is what is keeping Kyra from anything more than what she is doing now. Kyra would not allow anything to happen to the young lady. HE'S MINE! That is what her facial said in response to the mocking expression on her face. Again, she let it all show in her eyes, that she wasn't going to tolerate anyone harming him while SHE was around to do something about it! She would leave it up to the stranger to decide what kind of level of mine that he was, for Kyra wasn't going to do anything to give it away. The type of mine may not be lovers, but none of the less it was a level that she would kill over him. Trusting body language to convey that woman to woman of course, as she wasn't going to do anything to frighten Saffron if she could help it. Adressing Saffron of course, she wanted to give the girl something other than this to talk about. "How was your night last night Saffie? Rest well?"

    The woman now walking towards the bar at first glace may not have known that, being as she seemed to have seen him for the first time. What could he have looked like if she didn't... full moon just passed... could that have something to do with it? Pieces were fitting together, but Kyra guessed that since she didn't have all the pieces to this jigsaw of what happened, and knowing Devlin he more than likely won't tell her anything, she would have to be content with what she figured out. Again, probably too perceptive for her own damn good. Frustrated at that knowlege as she was, Kyra reminded herself that she was very similar to him. Kyra didn't know if the stranger leaving towards the bar as a result of her own little warning was the reason or not, but it was clear that she didn't come all this way just to gloat over something to do with Devlin's chest. She wanted something from him, Kyra didn't know what, but it disturbed her and Kyra had gained all the justification to keep an eye on her that she needed. Before she turned the majority of her attention towards those still at her table, she gave a sniff to emphasis her point about her unspoken warning between weomen.

    "I think I shall pass at the idea of a vacation," Kyra responded, light heartedly, remembing the amusement to her response that Devlin had before shit hit the fan in a way. Intent to get conversation going again. More to ease some of the severity of the situation that Kyra felt in the presence of Saffron. Lighthearted tones would issue forth, dispite what Kyra was feeling at the time. Again more for Saffron's sake if it could be helped than her own. "There is plenty of life to keep me interested around here! Especially while I have you around Dev. You know he is right Wesa," Kyra supported as she reached out to stroke Pantera cat's fur. The comment about him being around was more to put silent emphasis on the mine part. "Enjoy, I got your back fluff ball." She paused, to let warmth show to Saffron again, wishing to hear what she would have to say truely.

    Castle Main Empty Re: Castle Main

    Post  Admin Tue Aug 03, 2010 7:37 pm

    (Pantera)

    She had stopped her repast of a delicious snack nudged Wesa softly lightly her tounge flicked out across his chin. There was plenty and obvious no way she can finish the cream alone. She felt a tremour course through her the tension is so palable you could cut it like a knife through hot butter. She cast a glance towards this frigid woman eyes close to half slits. She heard the low deciable rumble she is after but an animal we can hear things that no one else cant. She is not amused to say the least her fur begin to puff out slight a gesture that she is troubled. Her empathy is slowly getting an over drive into the voids of being uncomfortable.

    Paws tucked under her she rocked her slender frame till she had found a comfortable poistion. She has no viewpoints or other negative things to express towards this strange lady that asked for Devlin. She felt more then saw the change in Kyras stance her golden green eyes cast a look to her friend. She arch into those soothing comforting hands. Her raspy pink tounge flicker out to place soft kitten kisses to the skin as if trying to convey some sort of feline comfort to her friend.

    She though in the midst of this turmoil had made it clear to Wesa that he is to have his treat. She wont tolerate her beloved going with out she has seen it to many times where he had to forsake a bowl of cream to tend to duties. Well not this time they can wait she gave her furred knight a soft thrumming purr. With a nudge of her slender velvet paw she ease the bowl to him. As if saying go ahead my love drink up the cream is warm ever so tasty. She adjusted herself so she may indeed lean more into Kyra. Little comfort needed for herself and in return giving some sort of solace to a friend that seems to sorely need as bad as she does.

    (Whisper)

    The main hall was continueing to fill with lavishly dressed people of many different races,more so making her senses tingle. Whisper felt a bit panicked by the mass amount of people gathering wtihin the main hall, and turned around to return to the front doors with the deep baritoned voice of Shade caused her to pause as he spoke to her. Smiling a bit, Whisper replied back to him in a kind voice. " Oh hello sir.

    Shifting her gaze from Shade to the growing crowd for a brief moment she bit her lower lip in thought then turned her gaze back to him. "I don't mean to bother any one, but my tireless journey has brought me here, and I don't know where here is exactly." She said then laughed a bit. " In truth sir, I am not even sure where I am going. "

    " Could you help me by telling me where here is and then perhaps I can figure out my pathway from there. " Whisper replied then stiffled a yawn with the back of her left hand. " I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude." she said softly as a light stain of crimson mared her ivory hued cheeks.

    (Gavin)

    The drum of his Celtic heart pounced against his chest. The heave back and forth of his body moved in unison with the beast between his legs, as he stormed through the forest, a broad-long sword free from its leather constraints swung at-will, clearing what brush or undergrowth in their path. He dare not disturb the forest too great – the ranger that claimed his heart some where deep inside knew much better, and a small little elf had reminded him of that long forgotten depth the man brute man carried. Plus, the wood spirits would have a fancy with him, what is a curse among a mortal man? Onwards they carried the stamping of the horse that followed his own rang in his ears, his way of knowing the two woman that traveled with him was near by. Finally, the touch of warmer colors from change in season came into view; the deep cedar green of the forest was now but a memory as the emerged into the forest edge.
    Leather reins were pulled back, stopping the stallion as deep emerald orbs looked across the land. It certainly was not home, but then again what was home? His gaze drifted back to the woman and child that maneuver beside him; yes that was home. A hand mindlessly pulled away from the reins and moved back against his chest, the touch of parchment could be felt pressing against his body; from where it laid in a pocket in the long black tonic he wore. The sword was seethed at his side as his gaze remained fixated upon the pair, “What do you think?” He was sure he knew what they were to say, ‘beautiful’, ‘wonderful’, though the pain in his heart still carried from their ‘homeland’ – he knew they would return eventually after whatever business it was the Lord of this realm hand in stored for him. The man of this new world was kind enough to extend the welcome to he and his family. They carried not much, just the things that fixed into the packs upon the saddles, and the bags that he wore on his back. Nobles nor commanding Generals they certainly seemed not. Onward they would push, heading for the direction of the town that led to the castle gates. Questions roam through his mind – what would they be like? How different if at all? And, more importantly the request of the Lord of the realm…a man of the sword Gavin was from, but what luck to be hailed as the trio looked for a new place to call home, but would this place be it?

    Their path would lead them past the town and there in his mind the comparisons would start. A bad habit that he knew eventually would need to change. It was no longer a move because of comparison, but the work that was requested of him. Yes, that was what he would try and remind himself of. Guards would stop them at the entrance of the castle, what business? The parchment was produced and handed over, their attitudes remained the same, and apparently the Lord was known for bringing outside help. Their first interaction of the people of this realm left the man unimpressed, but then again they were just the guards. Finally, boots touched to the ground, knees bending back and forth, too long in that saddle. Reins were handed over to the stable hands, as he then turned to help his daughter off the beast, and then his blushing wife-to-be. A few gold coins were handed over, “Tend to them well.” His deep-rich accented words commanded to the young man, who nodded in return. A deep sigh was given as orbs looked across the castle-taking note of the layout; it was more than anything a force of habit. Towards the main Keep they would march, in hopes to seek the audience of the Lord; always business before pleasure. Hands pressed to the doors, as servants would help to usher them in – towards the main hall.

    (Saevita)

    The steady placement of hooves, with Gavin's slashing as they meandered off the beaten path kept her on full alert. Serene rode between the two in the protection of both father and step-mother-to-be. Traveling light, but with the nessessities needed, she wondered where it was that Gavin was taking them. He'd been profoundly excited about the lands in which he had a letter from the Lord to venture to. So as they had thought to travel and take time away from the lands they currently called home, it was agreed to seek out this Lord and the lands he hailed from to check it out.

    When they broke from the forests at last, and the castle loomed taller than that of the village at it's base, she took in a breath while stoic features softened with a curve to pale tiers. " It looks impressive.." She'd murmure, though Serene was much more enthusiastic. Her gasp of delight, and exuberent words eased the General on the thoughts of what Serene might think of their so far unspoken plans of seeking a new home. ' oh dah.. it's beautiful!' came from that of the young child, before Sae nudged Vladimir forward and rode up beside that of Serene, to let Gavin lead them through the gates.

    Like Gavin she searched the streets, taking mental pictures to file in her memories, cottages, houses, and faces as they passed by. Keeping close to Serene as a protecter and mother to the girl. Yet she trusted her man before them, and that he would not lead them to a place who would seek danger upon them. when at last they went through the gates, and arrived before the doors of the Castle. She watched Gavin help Serene down, who jumped around to bring life back into her legs, then weave closer to her dad, and peeked at the stable hands, whilst her father turned to Sae to help her down.

    Smoothly she swung her leg over the large russian freisian war horse, while hands rested to her the flare of leather encased hips and feet at last touched the ground. Joints ached as she straightened, and she drew her hand into his own. " Are you sure about this? " She quieried him with such brilliant frightening turquoise deptsh lifting to meet his more subdued emerald ones. Knowing that to her home was going to be wherever he and Serene was. Yet the woman in her aside, she was always wary of ventureing into unknown territory, especially a world such as this. She'd travled often and far from docile lands before, but she had more that mattered to her now than she ever had as well. But taking his lead, she drew Serene's own small hand into her other one and ventured within the domain.

    At once scents and smells was drawn to the opening, and the voices of many had her drawing Serene closer to her, so that an arm slid about the girl's shoulders, though she felt Serene's arms entwine around a shaped thigh. Looking down she smiled to the girl with a wink to let her know all was well, before taking the next car eful steps inward with Gavin..

    (Darren)

    "Gods but that is disGUSTing", he muttered to himself trying to get the two distinct images out of his head. Wait, change that, the one image the other he needed for a proper confrontation of the guilty parties. Descending the steps two at a time Darren started toward the main entrance but drew up short when he saw a demonic Daemon draw the Empress into the shadows. "Wrong way," he then would turn to weave his way through the main hall itself. The kitchen exit would put him closer to the back gardens anyway and those within wouldn't necessarily see him coming.

    For the most part Darren paid very attention to those who milled around the room. He was not trying to be rude he was just very focused at the moment leaving little if any room for distractions. That is of course until he nearly collided with a blonde bombshell (Angels) speaking to shade. "Are you ok", he would ask stopping long enough to reach out for her elbow in case she lost her balance. Darren turned walking backward as he continued to speak, "I am sorry. Please accept my apology." The kitchen doors hit his back swinging inward as he continued to walk backward not taking his eyes off Angels. "By the way," he pointed to himself with a smile, "I'm Darren." The door swung shut ending not only the look but what little conversation they had begun. "Once I take care of this I am going to have to look that one up." Darren chuckled to himself turning back in time to exit the back door.

    (Shade Nighthawk)

    Now where could he be going in such a hurry? Shade wondered being as when he was about to answer Angels, Darren, the younger son of Leonidas had nearly collided into the lady. Nothing needed to be said as for manners, being as the young man already sought to make amends for it. In his years of coming and going, he knew the youngster since he was short, memories of telling about some of the things he did came to the forefront of his memories that he was silent through the whole ordeal. He was in a hurry, yet the youth could not take his eyes off the lady. A smile came to Shade's mouth, as he shook his head. After he left the room, Shade had listened for feet due to curousity of if he would come back or do whatever. He certainly kept growing, never staying the same size. Same goes for Saffron and Leo. Certainly a family for a man to be proud of no doubt, each with their own talents to hone.

    "If anyone was rude it was me," Shade replied, "For being caught up in memories while I should have been adressing you." It wasn't meant as a flirt or cheesy pickup lines, the paladin wasn't that way. He was known to be a virgin, never doing anything roguish or anything like that. Sometimes it might be mistaken as that, but the prince does clarify that when it happens. "I come and go, his father is a friend of mine I met while doing something in another land. So I come to visit him and a couple other people in these parts. M'lady, in answer to your question, your in Eternal. I do understand not knowing where your going, I can say that sometimes you have to let the feet do the deciding."

    He didn't say anything more, as he took note of Kyra snarling at someone over Devlin more than likely. Acting protective of Saffron as well... That could take a moment... Something to stay out of unless it is clear that he was needed to take care of the problem. A situation to watch over being as Saffron is in the middle of it, say like it explodes or something. For now, he would play nuetral as he didn't know what was going on. "Would you like something to eat?" he asked, as Shade figured he could escort her to a seat and go grab a server to take her order. Should Saffron look over, he would wave to the young lady.

    (Whisper)

    The heat within her crimson stained cheeks had subsided and her apology for the yawn was spoken when out of the blue she was grazed by one of the most distinguishingly handsome man her cobalt blue eyes had ever seen. She met his startled gaze wtih her on intense blue ones and her breath seemed to catch in her throat.

    Those eyes!
    As Darren spoke to see if she was ok, all Whisper could do was nod, as he reached out to steady her if needed. After finding her voice, she replied softly to him. "I..I am fine. are you alright?" she inquired to him as he was steadily walking backwards, after making sure she had her balance.

    " Please, no need to apologize , I am fine, see no harm done. " she said softly to him, then smiled.

    Still her stare stayed with him and when he pointed to himself and spoke his name, her cobalt blue eyes seemed to sparkle. "Darren. " she said more to herself than him. " I am Angel, or Whisper," she said, but wasn't sure if he had even heard her or not, for as the words left her lips, he was gone, leaving only the swinging door in his wake.

    "Hmmm." she murmured to herself then slowly let her gaze seek Shade once more and found herself blushing a deeper crimson this time.

    Hearing Shades voice, whisper snapped back to reality. "Oh please no you have been most kind to even speak with me sir. " she said then quickly looked over her shoulder once more then back to Shade.

    " Eternal? How enchanting. " she said then smiled abit. " I am Angels Whisper Ryathdai " Extending her hand to Shade, Whisper smiled to him again, but her thoughts were on the man named Darren.

    " And you are right, sometimes it is best for the feet to decide which way."

    At that moment, her stomach decided to growl just seconds before Shade inquired if she desired nourishment. " I believe food is definately what I need. " Whisper replied to him and smiled again. " Thank you again for being kind. "

    Then added out of the blue. " Did you say that you and that man named Darren's father are friends?" Whisper hoped she would get to see the young man again, if just for a brief moment.

    (Saffron)

    Noticing her favorite drink held out toward her, Pacific-fire blues widen gleefully as slender, well manicured fingers curl around the delicate fluted glass. The corners of peach pillows float upward into a pretty smile. Warm soprano tones sound in thanks. "I'm sure its delicious, Thank you." Light seemed to flash in her jeweled orbs as she gazed into the darkness of the drink. mmmm...she'd been craving this for a while now. Before she got the chance to sip the savory liquid, she noticed her knight in shining fur, wesa-curling himself around her dainty ankles. She'd greet him with an affectionate smile. She loved wesa-he was so incredibly loyal and caring and he'd watched her grow up, as many did in her home. As the desire to pick him up started to exert itself in elegant movement to gather him, delicate brows furrow. Hearing icy tones permeate from Devlin was something extremely out of the norm. She'd instantly felt the tension between him and the stranger and wondered why it was so. His arm came to her shoulder in an obviously protective manner and of course that set off her curiosity. This woman didn't seem to be threatening, but somehow Devlin thought it necessary to posture. Of course she wouldn't question him, but the gesture left her intensely wondering what exactly was going on. An obvious curiosity contained with her pacific-fire orbs, she would connect with kyra's warm, reassuring gaze. Saffie had always appreciated Kyra as she was, though she found it funny that many of the adults in her life perceived her as extremely innocent-and in a way, she was...However, she knew more about life than they were aware of-or so she liked to think. As the woman turned to move toward the bar area, she felt as if she should make sure everything was alright. Her eyes sought Devlin's to make sure everything was peachy before moving toward Kyra. She would leave him to start a conversation with kyra only if everything was alright.

    Castle Main Empty Re: Castle Main

    Post  Admin Tue Aug 03, 2010 7:38 pm

    (Wesa)

    Wesa had moved to enjoy the cream. His lady had demanded it. A warm red tongue lapped up the treat in such a savoring way. When he had looked up however, Pantera was not there... Where did she go? Did she have something she had to take care of which was urgent buisness? Who knew? Wesa knew one thing, he would wait for her return. Of all the kitties that would come and go, should any of course, his heart would remain forever hers. Wesa may not know when it would be, but he knew one thing. She would return to him. When that day came, Wesa will welcome her back with a loving purr.

    Not long after he reflected this, he felt Saffron's soft hand pick up up, and without any fuss Wesa allowed her to pick him up. When he was close enough, a rich purr began to osmose from his vocals, and begin to scent her. Making sure that any creatures that could smell his scent would know that she was like a kitten to him! She may be human and Leonidas and Saura's blood, but she was HIS kitten! Keeping his purr going, his face would rub against her hand if it was allowable, like cats do, watching the other humans in the area converse...

    Just to be friendly and to show thanks for the protective stance over Saffron, Wesa's head nuzzled Devlin's hand once while it was there. Once was enough to convey his thanks. The new woman wasn't interested in the youngster holding him, so he didn't pay much attention to him. No reason to make more of a fuss when she isn't causing any trouble that was apparent to him at the moment. Though he could sense Kyra's irritation at her. Human buisness more than likely. Placing his paws gently as to not cause harm to Saffron, he poised himself to the side of her young face, never stopping his purr. He has alot of love for his humans!

    (Devlin)

    Devlin raised a dark brow at her, not even bothering to answer. How would she know if he was... As she called it tetchy? How nice... Another sassy one. She didn't know him, and if he had it his way, it would always be. However... The stain in his blood was telling him different. Damn the beast, as he pushed one fantastical erotic image away after another. Not really glancing at them, for he refused to give in to his liscentuous tendencies any headway. He had control, and he'll use it even if it killed him. There was no way, THIS was ever going to come to fruitation. A good hold on the rein of his bloodwork unfortunately was still something he was working on.

    Another thing he did not bother with was the nuances of expression. He wore a stoic mask, when usually among the company he was keeping, he would've rolled his eyes in exaggeration and make his own smart ass remark. His crimson hues narrowed slightly upon the letter and a frown appeared darkly as he saw the tell tale seal upon the scroll. His hands released Saffron as he reached out for the parchment. Fingers gently taking it from her, careful not to touch her as if she had leprosy or some other insideous diseases. Optics raised once again towards the mysterious woman as if saying how dare she sought him out and disturb the peace.

    Before he would open it and read the contents within, he raised his head as he warily watched the iniquitous beauty walk towards the bar. So, he could be a man after all. Looking never did anyone any harm, though at that moment he would rather pluch his own eyes out of spite. Tongue in cheek, for he could give as good as he got, he turned to Kyra and smoothly said, "Kyra, why don't you serve the lady a drink? Bloodwyne I should think. She'll need it..." He did not and would not explain what he meant by that. But he gathered the woman would with that remark that seemed laced with sarcasm. With that he turned and shifted his back from the vixen as he look down upon sweet Saffron. He toned his voice down and in his friendly way said, "Excuse me, Saffron. Go and join Kyra, I will only be a minute." His hand would gently usher her, putting a hand on the small of her back as he flashed her a reassuring smile that he was alright, which he hoped seemed genuine. It certainly was, but he couldn't push off the feeling that it was somehow plastered there for her benefit. The stranger had indeed put him in a foul mood and more so when he saw the seal on the wax. He pivoted upon the balls of his booted feet, walking a little away. He noticed there seemed to be a great deal going on towards the entrance, but seeing that Kaden was there... And was that a glimpse of one of the young pup imperial twin... Naked? With his father? Looks like tongues are going to start wagging soon. But it certainly wouldn't be from him.

    Still he shook his head, obsidian strands tumbling and shifting about his broad shoulders. The sight putting him in a slightly better mood, as he slipped a nail underneath the parchment, breaking the dried wax into pieces as they crumbled towards the floor. Taking his time, he unrolled it to read... His head was bowed, as he stopped in his tracks. Devlin seemed to take more than a few minutes as he stood still, eyes that roved over the words. To those who happen to be watching can see that he was immensely distracted and engrossed with whatever news there was. But in truth... He had already finished reading it... He stayed that way to take a moment to stomp down the anger... What the hell was the meaning of this? And pray someone tell him, what game was that witch Cypress playing at? No, he wasn't happy and he had a feeling someone was playing tricks. Did Coventina know? She must have... Well... He would have a few words for that letter, whenever he would have the spare time to pen it. Or perhaps he may just engage in a verbal row and have HER go back whence she came from.

    After awhile, tucking his rage away, he was starting to turn back. His movements while stalking back were smooth and purposeful. Black silk rippled upon his arms with each stroke, his strides long and silent. He made his way towards the bar once again as firey orbs looked once again towards Coven. He seemed to take another moment, as if he was contemplating something. His voice would be perfectly amicable as he addressed the company, "Everyone I would like to introduce you to the the lovely Coventina sunniva... she will be staying with us for an extended time. While she is here on vacation, I hope you will be friendly and lend a helping hand..." He had an indulgent smile that curved upon his lips that didn't quite reach his eyes. For those who could pick up on it, it would seem that he was mocking the newly arrived.

    He would lean nonchalantly upon the bar top, his arm bending to accomodate his large frame, looking quite like he had not a care in the world. Moistening his sculpted lips he would drawl out to Coven, "So... it seems we have a mutual acquantance. I'll tell you now though... You're wasting your time. You won't find what you're looking for here... Though I think, I have..." A smirk seemed to have entered dangerously that played upon his chiseled planes. "Unfortunately, I will not always have the time to indulge you, as I have other duties." He was of course, being diplomatic though the underlying tone that belied the message was anything but.

    Castle Main Empty Re: Castle Main

    Post  Admin Tue Aug 03, 2010 7:38 pm

    (Pantera)

    Pantera had vanished it seemed to everyone around her but in truth rather urgent matters came up that needed to be attended to at the moment. With great joy it was discovered in her absence she was going to be pretty rounded out soon. She had learned during the time frame she was gone she was heavy with kits. By the sounds of it the thrumming in her blood bespoke of five tiny heartbeats. Time will tell indeed if this is truly correct. With a flurry that only a celestial being such as herself can muster reappeared in a rather startling way.

    She had appeared there on Devlins shoulder eyes closed to half slits that persistant heavy throated purr escaped. She tucked her paws under her slightly rounded frame a sign indeed that this normally skinny lady had a surprise in store. She was right proud of herself this be her and Wesa's first family. There first babies and boy will he be one proud poppa when he finds out about the tiny fur babies. No more rough housing for her for a wee while.

    She prays though that she didnt disturb Devlin too much though she did favor the man alot. The only other one she adored heart and soul was Kyra she cast a look towards Kyras way. Faint smile caressed her feline maw as she relaxed starting to ease into a light snooze. She had noticed that Wesa had enjoyed his repast of cream which made her proud that at last he got to enjoy a treat undisturbed. She tilted her head to the side so the top of her head brushed into the males neck. She seemed content and chose to ignore hubub that surrounded her at the moment.

    (Shade Nighthawk)

    Shade had lightly accepted her hand, and lightly shook it. Before he turned to a table, he just as gently released it. Lithe strides had taken Shade to a table, of which he had withdrawn a chair for Whisper to be able to sit in. All in the code of being a gentleman. If there was one thing that the paladin must uphold at all costs is his honor. Whisper had done nothing to deserve being treated as anything but a lady, so it is with his raising to treat her as such. She wished for food, so while he took a seat himself, as pushing her to the table when she chose to sit was usually something more reserved for a lady's love to do. He was not that. Glancing his blue hughes around the room, he locked eyes with a server. A strong hand raised, without the usual arrogance of nobility, but at the same time, it was commanding. Calling over the server. Shade wasn't hungry of course, but she was. "They have a good selection of food available to eat," Shade adressed Whisper, in a kind and informative manner.

    When the subject suddenly changed back to Darren, an amused smile spread across his face. The darked haired stranger had seen this before. First glance and an impression is left for the positive. A chuckle escaped from his nose, not out of mockery or anything like that. While he wasn't worried about attraction or anything like that, it was good to see others be under it's influence. Shade knew not if Darren's attention was captured in the same way, but one might hope. Darren always struck him as the sort to need someone to protect. He just needs someone like that. Not that Shade was about to try to arrange for something that would not be, the lady beside him seemed to have hope. If the world was void of hope, then what were the years of chasing away the shadows of the world that would seek to devour all that is good and kind in the world.

    "Aye," Shade spoke in a light voice, giving her a kind nod while looking outside the window. He sensed a presence, one just entering the plane close to the entrance. While he was certain that he felt a divine one, who it was he couldn't tell. Shade lacks the ability to see through walls or doors. He will know soon enough one might imagine. For now, he will answer Whisper's question, as she didn't seem to be one with any malevolent intentions. "Darren's father is the General of the Royal Guard. So the family lives here. The young lady with the wine cooler is the baby of the family." Shade politely gestured towards Saffron, who was now picking up Wesa.

    (Gavin)

    A nod of his head came as he watched the woman, yes it was impressive, but they have both known and seen better....though a sincere private thought that reflected the love he still had for their homeland. It would always be near to their hearts and though Sae had yet to leave officially, he no longer had any times to Imperial save for the General that rode at his side.

    Onwards they would march, 'wife', daughter, and Gaivn. It was becoming more simpler to announce their present as such, which he held no complaint. A smile filled his lips, as an arm moved to wrap around the woman's waist to bring her into his warm embrace as they walked along towards and eventually into the keep. "It could do us well..both of us within their Arms of Service? You and Serene will be safe." A firm nod was given to her, the smile remained - a familiar one of love and reassurance.

    Into the main hall they would emerge - it was the Lord of the kingdom that had summoned him, and that was the person he wished to speak to. A hand call for a servant to fetch his master, yet a confused lad, simply nodded before he retreated off, perhaps it was not as close to home. Parchment was drawn out from a concealed pocket from the black tunic that wrapped around his body, he swore it was always a size to small. The individuals present in the main hall were watched and a nod of his head would be delivered if they looked. A hand pushed along the little girl with a smile to find a seat on the couch near the hearth, the arm still wrapped around Sae's waist held true as they took in the new, potential home.

    (Attrited Poison)

    Oh now how sweet the.. woman? (kyra) was snarling at her! It was probably a shame that well she only took enough notice of the woman with the prosthetics to simply arch a brow and give an ill content curve of her lips, which was filled perhaps with a silent chilling response. As if she was saying ‘really?’ But otherwise such protection over one man who as she knew could defend himself quite well on his own, was more or less ignored. Or rather not given second thoughts over. She wasn’t here for ‘that’ sort of play. Oh no Coven was here for a reason, and that reason would not be indulged to the woman who tended the bar. Instead she let elongated crystalline nails begin to idly lift and fall in rhythmic drumming . Her ears picking up on bits and pieces of conversations floating around the place, while she focused on not allowing her blood take over. It was a challenge, especially when she only went into such crowded places for a job alone.

    This however, was a job, or rather a dictation from Cypress. She didn’t like the idea anymore than Devlin seemed to have liked seeing that wax seal on the letter given to him. Though truly what else could she do? She received and followed the orders given to her. She didn’t ask questions, she simply got information and did the best with that information. Though never had Cypress given her this type of job before and it was truly crawling beneath her skin in irritation of it being given to her.

    When Devlin sidled back up to the bar beside her, raven curtaining the side of her features which were marred, turned only partially towards him with a flick of her gaze while he introduced her to well everyone. She wished to cut off that smile from his face, but tamped down the urge by rolling her hips outward, as her torso twisted in facing the man more fully. Letting her forearm rest against the lip of the counter as she waited for her pre-ordered drink. She wasn’t going to argue with that choice, not right at the moment anyhow. Yet those plush pillows curved with enticing fervor while he spoke of wasting her time and him not having much in which to indulge her with. “ oh don’t you worry dear.. I am most certain I can find.. things to keep my amusement going.. as for finding what I want?... That is not your problem now is it? “

    She flicked her gaze towards Kyra again and then towards Saffron before dallying those icy shattered cobalt's about the room. Indeed there were many in which to amuse herself with and well.. He was at the top of her list. Of course there were other’s, and her gaze slowly fixated upon Kyra another moment, before they finally settled back upon Devlin. Letting velvet touch briefly her lower petal as she canted her head to the left, just so that way it didn’t place strain on that injured shoulder by canting it to the opposite direction. “ Then go and tend to your duties.. little man, it appears your harem is awaiting you. “ Such words were given in disdain to Devlin. What did he think he was the gods gift to women? Obviously the other women thought so about them, but Coven? Despite what her blood was saying, and that pesky shadow within her, she merely drew on her inner cheek with pointed ivory to draw the rich sanguine to fill her mouth slowly in trickling scrumptiousness, before she dared to turn her eyes away from him. She would rather be back within the forests than anywhere near this infuriating man. But.. orders where orders, and so she would just have to ‘deal’ with him.

    (Saevita)

    Feeling the arm draw around her waist she lent against the stalwart man and enjoyed the possession of his arm and the tug against her, which both reassured her and gave her the sense of relaxation as well. Looking Serene as her fingers slid through the girl’s hair she looked to Gavin when he spoke with a turn and rise of her chin so her gaze could settle on his own features which were drawn in thought. His words having her inclined her head. “ Perhaps...Though I have been thinking of retiring all together. Or maybe keeping it to part time, so that way Serene will have more security.” It was idle thoughts which went around in her mind. After all they still had not set a date in which to have their own day. That would be soon however, but not before they had decided on what they would do from here on out.

    As Gavin called for a servant, she urged Serene to go ahead and sit at the couch indicated. Though her eyes followed like that of a hawks the girl’s path until she had settled on the couch before the hearth. Then taking hold of Gavin’s hand about her waist, she leaned in to place a brushing of pale tiers against his roughened cheek. “ I will join her.. while you wait to speak to whom you’ve come to see.. If not then maybe we should head off and set up camp for the eve, and decide what to do come morning..” With such words murmured between the two, she set off to go join Serene at the couch. Though her gaze constantly took in those gathered near and about the room. Once the couch was reached, she drew Serene to her lap as she folded to settle in the corner of the couch. Smiling to the girl she began to speak with her in low soothing tones.

    (Whisper)

    As Shade's hand was clasped within her own, Whisper smiled a bit. Again, those so far in meeting had been nothing but the kindest and most hospitable towards her, which she thought odd. Of course Whisper did tend to isolate herself quiet abit from others being as how she had been treated before, yet here everything seemed different. The movement of Shade brought Whisper back from her rampant thoughts and she too leasurely strode gracefully towards the chair he had so graciously pulled out for her. Whisper quirked a delicate brow at him, then smiled once again. " Thank you for being so kind. " she said softly to him as she eased down into the chair, quiet glad to give her exhausted feet a good rest.

    Cobalt blue eyes slowly shifted their gaze from him to each section of the room, taking in all that surrounded her, and indeed it was most enchanting. Slowly, her gaze found Shade again and at the very mention of food once more, her stomach let it be known it was empty. A light laugh bubbled forth from her pale pink hued lips. " I believe at this point any thing would be welcomed."

    The servant bade Shade's command and soon a plate lay before her filled with mouth watering food.... Lifting a piece of bread to her lips, Whisper took a bite, just as Shade spoke of Darren's father and family, which it really made her eyes light up when he told her that they lived here. "Perhaps I will see him again. " she murmured more to herself than to Shade, but of course he was sitting right there and heard it, and at the mention of Darren's sibbling, Whisper turned to see Lady Saffron. "Oh she is beautiful. " she replied then looked back to Shade. " Good looks must run in that family. " came the honest comment before she could stop herself. " I shouldn't have said that outloud. " Whisper murmured before slipping another piece of bread in her mouth. Perhaps eating would keep her from saying something that should be kept to herself, and again her thoughts went to Darren once more.

    (Kyra)

    One thing that was clear, was that the woman who had come in and placed ripples in the water of what started to be a perfect day had got the messenge, and as the silent communication that can happen with females usually go, she had responded. The chilling demeanor of a response which may have sent many people backing into a corner with it's intensity didn't phase Kyra in the least bit. The firey spirit which Kyra has been known for was shining in her eyes, keeping her soul from being frozen in the intimidation of that expression which the woman at the bar wore. Kyra could not tell how seriously her messenge was taken, but it was clear that it was recieved.

    What Devlin wanted to do, that was his buisness, as Kyra's feelings for her were not on the girlfriend sort. While she woudn't deny the fact that he was attractive, she had never, nor does she ever think she will try anything of that nature on him. What everyone else thinks of the way she can get protective over him, most of the time that was not her problem. They can think what they want, the truth is she values him as a friend. Closest to family she has that Kyra has knowlege of that is still living. Well, add Rory into that equation, those two are perhaps a couple of the closest of her friends. She has chased stubborn people away from him once or twice as well. Kyra's thoughts drifted for a moment, wondering how Rory was, and what he was up to. Hasn't seen him in a while...

    Kyra's thoughts snapped back to reality as Devlin had requested that she serve this stranger a drink. The way he said it was more to it with that request other than the usual greet and chat. She will need it? Wonders if it has something to do with why she sniffed him in that high and mighty attitude earlier? Could it be his way of conveying a silent threat to her? That she will need it? The blond wondered if she should even do as he requested of her and serve the thing, wondering what it is he is up to by requesting that she do so. Even as she wasn't sure if she really should fullfil that request, she kept an ear out for the woman of a stranger to turn it down... She had till Kyra reached the bar, starting now as Kyra took strides towards it to cancel that order. If not, then that is what she will be getting.

    The moment Kyra's hand touched the cool clean surface, any previous emotions were wiped clean from her face, the short adult was if anything a professional at her job. This meant that any emotion from the scene seconds ago would seem like it never happened. For it would bode ill for her to ruin any reputation of the hospitality of this home by acting unprofessional at her job. So, it didn't take Devlin long before he would return to the bar, actually as Kyra had slid her the bloodwine and introduce her to the people there. Be helpful to her while not at the bar? Was that what he was asking of Kyra now? Kyra tried not not show her objections to this being as she was questioning within her mind how much his shadow is doing the talking now... Even as she glanced questioningly in his direction.

    Then her eyes would meet Coven's (or at least attempt to) when the woman's gaze was returned to her. She was pretty enough for the shadow to have some equation into that previous request that Devlin made. Kyra sighed, as she gave a nod to respond to the request made of her to be helpful. The blonde will at least try, but not willing to promise to anything. Coventina didn't look like the sort to "play nicely with the other kids". Not the first time his shadow has attracted psychos...

    Kyra then began to wonder as she noticed Pantera hop up on Devlin's shoulder, belly filled with kittens from the looks of it. OOO Kittens? Kyra wanted to feel!!! Kittens were oh so cute! They bring out the inner girlie in Kyra definatly, if nothing else did. Kyra's face bloomed into a smile towards her friendly favored kitty. When did she concieve? Kyra wondered that as she reached towards Dev's shoulder, her hand reaching for Pantera. Would not do to pick her up, no, her iron arm is not suitable to pet or have a pregnant cat sit on, unwanting to accadentally harm her or the babies. Attempting to stroke the fur under Pantera's elegant neck, she kept Coven in her prepheral vision as she asked if she could touch Pantera's belly. "May I?"

    Then remembering that she has yet to introduce herself to Coven at least. Not that fair to serve and know someone's name and her not know hers... One might guess. Well, point of the matter, Kyra is in a slightly better mood at the news of her friend, ever so sharinly, though it is hard to hide such a round feature. Did she see one just move? Oh yeah, she needed to introduce herself. With a neutral tone, even as she heard Devlin's adressing her in his, Kyra spoke her name alone, being as she wasn't in the mood to be friendly with the woman on vacation just yet. Not so quickly after that scene. Her job did require that she at least be polite. "Kyra."

    (Rory)

    Fantastic he done it yet again calculations to figure out how to land and where to land where entirely off. Shriek tore through his throat he shifted rather fast to his wolf form to soften the blow as best he could. His form slipped past through every feasable solid surface as easily as a hot knife through butter. At least he was not solid yet but his high pitched girlish screams cant be missed.With a solid thwack the crashing sounds of his body slamming into the table is heard. The sounds of wood breaking under his weight was next noticed as he finally came to rest there on the floor. Flicking flickering boney bloody button and shrieking hells bells that hurt so dang bad. Getting his compusure back is a must have he is pretty darn sure he has managed to make himself a dang laughing stock in the way he came in.

    Up went the head ears perked tounge hanging out he sniffed the air smells Kyra some where in here. He is going to have a bruise later on his noggin good thing he is thick skulled and dont break easy. He saw intresting peoples here proably brought a crowd he bets. People is good yes but still he didnt want attention this way very emberassing indeed. Ohh so many intresting faces and decides to get up off his wolfish bottom and go sniffing and greeting. Why that be proper indeed to be a gentlemanly wolf and introduce himself. Whats this sniff snif and meanders first to this strange lady so aloof and standoffish. Why just wont do ya see impolite to be so dang icey and down right scary looking.

    At a safe distance he stops three paces away from this lady (Coventina) of course curious as sin. He inhales her roughish scent to imprint her in his mind so that he dont forget her. His tail swayed a moment takeing her entirely in not so bad little standoffish for his taste though. Still she was a right pretty lassy and turned his head to gaze around him throughly. Gahs blood he has no idea how dangerous this might be to size up the alabaster ice queen. He has the outrageous idea though to do something entirely wolfish but no no bad idea very wrong. That kind of thing is very rude and impolite last thing he wants to do is add more bruises. So with that he walks away from the lady giving her a wide path of course no need to find a boot in his rump.

    He sashays himself right over to Kyra first his best friend indeed whom he adores to no end. Cast a look to Devlin gave a roughish impish smile and those eyes of his bespoke of grand mischief. Yet so far he was well behaved well ok for the moment he will entirely behave himself not resort to anything stupid. As he got close to Kyra he allow his true self to appear. Slowly his body resort to a human like form no need to go parading around in fur. As his transformation came to an end he be in full human form he be pretty much for alll purposes an identical twin to Riker. He rewarded Kyra with a warm smile " Hello my friend." He ran a hand through his short cropped spikey hair and relaxed. He spotted a seat that be near by Kyra and moved away making himself scarce for the moment he didnt wish to be a pain bad enough he broke some tables which he is sure he will need to replace really soon.

    (Shade Nighthawk)

    Shade sat in silence, only nodded to acknolege that she was welcome of course for his kindness. Thinking of course while he wanted to let her eat in silence. Wondering of course where Mercedes was of course, being as he had people to look for, but was patient about it. It wasn't like he was on a time frame or anything. The woman probably had things she was tending to at the moment and would be here soon. If he had shown impatience, he didn't mean it. Was not Whisper's fault that the situation was like this, so there was no intentions of letting anything be as clear as crystal. Just hoped that she didn't think he was going to try to come onto her or anything like that.

    Talking about Darren once more, Shade had nodded, as if he were in agreement with her over the family's good looks. Didn't look like he had caused her to think that at all, being as her attention was Leonidas' family at the moment. That didn't bother Shade at all, so he could do nothing more than smile a bit and chuckle when she commented that she didn't mean to say that. "I don't mind," he spoke lightly, glancing her way in the same manner that he had before. "I am not one to talk about myself much anyways, and being as I have no idea about you, it's perfectly fine. If all else it shows yourself what your interests are and what you like. Reminders to yourself, or hints at what you may find attractive, there is nothing wrong with that." He left it at that, being as he didn't want to push her into indulging anything of personal note to a complete stranger. He didn't do that all the time himself.

    (Saura)

    Hand in hand with her husband, Saura swiftly made her way downstairs and through the main hall; the ornate fabric of her sari swishing lightly, matching her quick pace. She would have normally stopped to greet the familiar faces as well as meet those new to the lands but at this moment, she was clearly on a mission. She sincerely hoped that Raven and her eldest son were alright-it had appeared to be a nasty fall and even though her first born seemed to have it under control, her nerves wouldn't still until she found out for herself.

    so focused on the task at hand, she didn't even notice her daughter just steps away sipping one kind of drink or another-or the faithful Wesa in her arms. Her main concern was to see if Raven and her son were alright. Thinking Raven's nose dive towards the grounds was what darren urged them to take note of earlier when he'd walked in and caught an eyeful of his parents in the most intimate of situations. Saura wanted to tell Leo (II) just how proud she was of him for acting so heroically in a state of potential disaster such as that. Although he was extremely bright, Leo (II) had always been the underdog compared to the sheer brute strength and military proficiency of his brother Darren. It wasn't that he didn't have a talent for things of that kind as much as he had always displayed more of an interest in translations and public relations, and things of that sort. Saura knew it was Leo's (II) wish that he please his father, and she knew that if her husband had seen the same scene as she had, he would be overflowing with pride.

    Politely weaving her way around those in the main hall, she made it across the threashold just in time to see Leo (II) sucker punch Darren!

    Saura had no concept of what had happened to lead to this chain of events, and even as her hand released her husbands and instintively found its way to her mouth agape-all she could think was that this was NOT like her Leo (II). Acting quickly, she positioned herself in-between the two-- soft, Sun-kissed hands place themselves firmly on Darren's shoulders with the solid intention of forcing him backwards-attempting to prevent him from retaliating. Knowing the wild spirit of her son-she was certain if she didn't restrain him in this manner, she would have a full fledge brawl on her hands and that was most certainly unacceptable.

    {Due to the nature and movement of the posts, this was placed here and in Castle Grounds}

    (Wesa)

    What in the world? He had thought he had caught a perfumed tint in the air, as well as the return of his lady, Wesa was purring even happier that his lady had returned. Now however didn't seem to be the time to reunite with her and discover what the tint with her scent could possibly be, the call of duty had interfered. Such was the life of the furred knight, to mix in between love and duty. Duty being to uphold his honor so that he may be worthy of the lady that he would be returning to.

    Looking up at Saffie as he was placed on the floor, he mewled that he was ready to escort her out the door. When he put her drink down, he would begin to follow, tail raised in the air, and outside of the door. Such a pretty day, flowers scenting the air in a lovely fashion of course along with the smell of blood...

    (Mercedes)

    In the main hall, as she was supposed to do, a portal had opened, letting the red head through. There, she was at least where she needed to be. Looking around, she took count of who was coming, who was going, and who would need rooms while they were here at the palace.

    Juding from where she could hear, the woman talking to Shade did not arrive with him. Thanking him for his hospitality was a sign there. There was one woman by the bar, talking to Devlin and Kyra, so perhaps she wouldn't need attended to right away. Also a family of three... Waiting to see who would need her attention first, being as it would be difficult to try to juggle all three at once.

    Shade was a guest as well, and he at least knew where the room he usually occupied on his stay here. Slipping the dark haired paladin a key, she told him the usual room, then glanced to the lady beside him. "Greetings, I am Mercedes, Chamberlainn to Eternal. Welcome to the home of Empress Amelee and Deamon Black. When you are ready to be shown a room you may use during your stay here, or anything else you may need feel free to inform me. It would be my pleasure to be of assistance."

    Glancing over towards a woman and her child, sitting on the couch, she had wondered if they were ready or not. They looked like they were patiently waiting of course, wondering if they were waiting for her. Speaking loud enough for everyone who had entered to hear, should they wish to be shown a room or wait a bit longer for that service, "Greetings, I am Mercedes, Chamberlainn to this castle. If your waiting for anything that I may be of assistance with, please let me know and I will be happy to assist." Now all that she could do is wait, this was definatly her classification of a busy day. Mercedes glanced over, her blue orbs watching another familiar face (Rory) crash into some tables. Kyra would fix those more than likely, she usually does when Rory misses his entrance. He had went over to greet his family and friends, like usual. His normal room was open as well.

    (RavenAmolisur)

    Van gave a detailed look around him as he entered the castle. He was in awe at how everything looked so similar to what it had been in the past. Though he realized this wasn't the time for such things. He began to look around for the chamberlain, though he realized he had no idea what this person looked like. 'Mercedes. What an odd name.' He would mumble under his breath as he began to examine the decor once again keeping his senses attuned for anyone that would approach him with Krono following obediently. Van would also though keep an eye out for his brother. For once not to cause problems, yet, but for now just to say 'hello'.

    (Whisper)

    Whisper smiled at Shade. He was a nice young man and had been so very kind to her by way of sitting and talking with her when she was so very new here and didn't know one single person, except again for the most handsome man she had ever laid eyes upon Darren. " I am not one to talk of myself much either. I am nothing special. My original home is in the land of Cirian. My father was human and my mother, she was so unique and beautiful. " she said whistfully, as her thoughts for but a moment traveled back into the past. With a soft sigh, she let her gaze move to her hands resting on the table before speaking again. "They were both killed, how I am not certain, I was within the northern parts of the forest that bordered our lands when it happened. When I returned home, I found them in a pool of their own blood, slash marks marred their bodies. Shivering she let her gaze move back upward to meet those of Shades. " I buried them then left in haste. I was afraid. It was a few months later that I found myself within the lands of Nebyoti Prime, where I met my adoptive father Bodvarr. He took me in with no regrets. Now I feel like I need to make a change in my life, find a place of my own and settle into a new lifie." Whisper said to him with a smile then paused as she saw the woman Mercedes approach Shade. Whisper smiled to her and bowed her head in greeting. " M'lady. " came the warm reply to her.

    When she departed, Whisper looked back to Shade. " I think I might like being here. "

    (Shade)

    Shade's face saddened as he listened to her story. Conflict had reared it's ugly face in her story, but that wasn't the reason why he seemed to grow so sullen. The girl was innocent, to trust a complete stranger with the tale of her life, short it may be. He picked up no feelings of malevolence from her body, so she would probably be a safe person to talk to. However, he still didn't feel like baring his soul to her. Nothing personal against her, but he doesn't trust anyone very easily. Trust too easily and he might as well slide that strap of leather around his neck once more. Those scars never fully go away, but it was the price to ensure the safety of another. Needless to say, the man never took to bondage real well, or better phrased will never take it well. He would admire the beauty of another without any problems, but the moment someone tried to bed him, he would pull into himself and politely, or as much as he could turn them down.

    It seemed alot wanted him for that reason. It was perfectly clear with this one though, all he was is someone to talk to. That was fine and good, considering if he managed to remain a certain state during a time when his will was not meant to be his, it should be someone more than a common barmaid to give himself to. His reasons for never being drunk before was another one in entirety. Why that came up? Not really sure yet, not even sure if it was more than a random thought. Maybe it had something to do with remaining a virgin till the day he finds his special lady? Not a clue what she will look or sound like, but he knows that eventually down the many years to come, he will know when he meets her? How cheasy a thought he knows.

    Distraction came as a familiar elegant hand slid him a key, informing him that his usual room was available to him. Mercedes didn't need to show him where to go, being as he knew this place by now. He couldn't however help but wonder about the woman he encountered on the way here. Keeping his thoughts platonic as he would usually, being he was curious of who she was. Fayte it was, she didn't seem interested in talking about her problems, seemed to dread coming here, but at the same time, it was as if she had to. Her aura seemed to have the scent that trials would more than likely go her way, a feel of a storm brewing. Having a gut feeling that she has a destiny that will demand to be unraveled. What it could be, Shade has no way of knowing. May not be much that was in his ability to help her, but if he could, he would. Ask nothing in return of course, being as it is his job to help where he can.

    An eyebrow perked as Shade sensed the aura of someone most powerful entering this plane. Diety from the tingling senses that had picked up his emergence. Outside the Castle Doors if he is thinking correctly. One that he had met a LONG time ago, in the lair of a goddess that had kidnapped two babes. They made a difference that night, they as in Paris, Scortch, Rois, and Roblen, but it would be likely Roblen's sacrifice that night would have been for nothing, being as they were drastically outnumbered, and a party of five against a goddess? Hardly stand a chance with her minions added into that factor. The rescue of two babes would have made it all worthwhile, even if they were not demis. Innocent lives deserve protection.

    If not for the babes and Roan's intervention and the special lady everyone talks about by the name of Maybelle, who knew if he would have met Paris, or if he had, if they would have become the friends they were today. Raven, her brother, is not a bad youth, just needs punting now and then. Shade wasn't sure what his arrival could mean, being what he sensed earlier... The timing is just too strange to be coincedence. Could it have something to do with the girl?

    Contemplative hands had been fiddleing with the key that had been handed to him earlier, while he had been thinking. Shade shook himself out of his thoughts for now, again, being as there were more on his mind that he refused to allow to be called up for the best of the psions to glean so freely. Raven had shown him a few tricks to keep his mind secure from the lower level ability people, but Shade wasn't good enough to protect his mind from the higher levels. "Well," he finally spoke, turning to the woman who he had been talking to. "It has been a pleasure meeting you Whisper, but I am afraid I need to go get cleaned up. Windy sandy trail that I had taken... Sand tends to crawl in places that should not be named." He stood up, not in any hurry or anything, taking one last look around before he would head towards the borrowed chambers. Picking up a bad that was pretty sandproof that had some of his other gear in it, stuff that shouldn't be stored in the stables where Sable is staying.

    (Darren)

    He saw the sharp look of retort from his mother but right then Darren didn't care. He was so far over the threshold of anger that he was sitting in front of rages fire with his feet propped up. Long strides carried him up the stairs and straight into the main hall where others were going about their daily routine. If anyone had any inkling as to the youngest son's character they would know that it was a difficult task to embarrass him. Even as the clear evidence of his skirmish adorned his rugged features he stood solidly searching the room for those in attendance. Another thick droplet of blood slipped over a swelling lip to vanish within his open mouth. It tasted salty, coppery, but mostly it tasted of his anger as well as the need for revenge. No matter what either of his parents may think Darren would find a way to repay his brother.

    His breath had been coming in long drawn heaves as his eyes scanned the room coming to rest once more on the blonde he had literally run into earlier. She was sitting at a table talking to Shade looking very cozy indeed. Darren sniffed feeling a sharp pain as his broken nose adjusted sending forth a fresh stream of blood down the back of his throat. Had his mother not been directly behind him he would have gone over to the two. As it was he could almost feel her silent command to march and knew that whatever intention he may have would be completely ruined. Jaw clenching he turned away heading toward the stairs taking them two at a time.

    (Devlin)

    Devlin felt weight upon one side of his shoulder, instinctively knowing it was Pantera as he next felt soft fur that grazed his cheek and the pressure of four paws that were lightly still. A hand raised to help the little mother down. He only knew once fingers grazed around her lithe form that was slightly bulging with babies. A curve of a smile snaked around his strong features as he softly said to her, "There, Pantera. My shoulder is no place to rest. I'll move, and you'll lose your footing. I don't want you to be hurt especially with your secret." Flamed hues would turn slightly towards the cat as he winked at her, he rested her, craddled upon his forearm, yet giving her plenty of room to move about and readjust herself if need be. Long elegant fingers would stroke her fur above her head and neck area, kneading it slightly to help her relax and just be. If the feline wanted to, he would leave her to go to Kyra, for it seems to him that the bartender had came to the same conclusion he did. Though how Kyra found out by sight, he didn't know, but then again, he really didn't have an eye for such things.

    He saw that his friend Kyra seemed a little aloof towards Coventina, not that he would blame her. It seems everyone else was. But it had nothing to do with him. At least he hoped not. He knew he had given every indication that he did not want to welcome her here, and yet his smooth words of moments before made him a liar and a hypocrite. Both which were unusual personality traits. He could berate himself for it, but what was the use? What was done was done... And now it looked like he either had to give her direction, listen to her useless report and keep her company all the while pretending to be pleasant and amicable. Why? For what purpose did Cypress had for having her here? He had an indication and he didn't like it. Being watched, supervised wasn't usually bestowed on him. It was in fact plain insulting, and if one wanted to delve further, it made him feel as if he was untrustworthy. Though heaven forbid he did anything to have anyone turn tail on him. All this jarred his mind and dug up a whole other issues he didn't think was a problem before.

    He was further distracted from his thoughts when he saw his younger twin Rory show up in wolf form first. That is after the crash of broken furniture and splintering wood flew every which way. He glared at him, even as he saw the wolfish grin, and a hand went up towards his temples as if a headache had come on due to the squeal of girlish screams that couldn't be possible coming from a man without his balls cut off first. Good gods.... What was the empress going to think? Or worse, her consort? The sight of his brother was enough to give him a migraine sometimes. Never mind that he fought himself not to laugh about it. Oh it wasn't that he didn't love him, or that he didn't tolerate him. He did, to the best of his abilities. Just as some would say, Rory was plain crazy... and he thought it couldn't get any worse than Riker. But then again, the older twin was different sort of crazy. Both the same and yet unique in their own way, the perfect example of two peas in a pod. Put the two together and it was over. Might as well plead uncle and give up trying to reform them. His gaze wondered towards his youngest brother for a moment as he morphed back into human form and said, "Rory... welcome... Though you know... you're starting to cost way too much if we have to keep paying for your damages." His tone might have been serious, however it would be twinkle within his eyes that gave it away that he was merely half kidding. He didn't mind, and he also knew Rory would put it to rights himself, but just to say if he didn't, the Vindictious family had his back.

    Coventina's use of the word dear irked him in a way that was more irritation than annoyance. Oh he knew she was as sarcastic as she was going to get, even as vermillion hues narrowed in slightly at her. A smirk played upon his lips as he responded in kind with his rich honeyed undertones, "I'm sure you will, sweetie... and you're right of course... It's your issue... But if it becomes too much of a problem for your little woman's mind..." He paused and gave off a slightly dramatical sigh as if contemplating, "I suppose if you asked nicely, I may be persuaded to help you..." Devlin didn't so much as flinch when he heard her next words. Though if anyone looked, his features seemed to have hardened and appeared stony as iridescent crimson spheres glittered like a pair of cold imperial garnets. He was about to give a scathing response before amusement won out and he laughed richly, though some would think it was quite sardonic. The sound came out from deep within his taunt abdomin and damn if it didn't hurt to do so, though he refused to show how much the hidden gauges bothered him. The sting of the wound burned but he figured it would be worth it. His voice still held that lilt of diplomacy as with a hint of cynical note he replied, "I wager you'll be part of my harem one day. I bet even you would thaw out before I'm done with my undeniable charm." He lifted a dark brow as if in challenge even as a smile as roguish as they come came to grace those perfectly sculpted lips of his.

    (Attrited Poison)

    Aloof looks, aloof interactions. All of these things from the others spoke merely of Devlin's fluential weight here. She didn't know if that preturbed her more, or the man's own presumptious arrogance. Yet in the society in that she was raised, such actions garnered very little reaction from Lady Coventina Sunniva. Instead when her drink was given over, it was lifted and drank from with the utmost social graces. Her ears of course listened to the insessant prattle around her. It was very hard to turn off annoying sounds, no matter how one might desire to greatly do such. It might come as a surprise considering she looked more to have just come off the high seas than any court parlour dashing it up with Royalty. But that was neither here nor there anymore. Her house was gone, or rather those within her house were gone and believed dead, herself included for the most part.

    Sure she had gone back to her estates, after so many years of being gone, changed forever into this hideiouse creation by hands which blur within her memories, and voices which echo around in her ears. Then the training in secrecy until she perfected the art of the kill, not only with blades, but with wile meanuvering and the thirst for decicrated blood to flow down her throat, while their screams filled her in such sweet requiem it was perhaps diabolical. None here knew of the Attrited Poison, and even the man playing with his... cat.. could not even begin to know to whom or what she truly was.. could he? Yet Kyra's introduction was accepted with a dip of her head, as the drink, nearly gone within the few moments of having it was set to the top and a shudder as it flowed through her in filling all those vessels, and seeking to seal the wounds a little further upon features, and hidden shoulder felt oh so much better. " Coventina" Irritating? Perhaps yet she could give just as good as she got. Since the woman deigned it only prudent enough to give singular names, Coven could well do the same. At least she attempted to be nice, that was better than what most got after such blithering protection over a man.

    The sounds of a girlish screech and splintering of wood, would have Coven straighten and turn her head to see to what just came barreling it. A wolf.. at first it was a wolf, and that Alpah female within her reared its head as she looked down upon the pup with a hard stare, until it shifted into a man, and she had to roll her eyes. By the gods were there more of her around here? She wanted to curse every one within the guild for creating such monstrosities and ambiguouse provocations. Yet a deep breath taken and released eased the want to go over and reprimand the pup for his childish actions. Like any alpha would within their pack. But these people were not her pack! Oh that was such a sobbering notion. Sighing she was going to push away from the bar, to leave these infidels to whatever their little hearts desired. When Devlin returned to her side...

    Sweetie? Oh he was asking for her to disrupt such peace in these very walls now wasn't he? Oh sure she had called him 'dear' in the most mocking fashion to get his dander up and ruffle his peacock feathers a bit. Yet he was treading on very very thin ice. Rimmed eyes narrowed to hide those glittering cobalt seas beneath the dark fringe sweeping lower. " Oh.. no come 'daaaahling...' you would not ever wish to aid me in what is within my woman's mind, but rest assured, it will never become too overwhelming. " She raised her hand as the words rolled like sweet intoxication from her mouth, to slide spindles from the lobe of his ear down his jawline to his chin, where to get him more especially when he mentioned being apart of his harem was spoken, her fingers began to scratch as she would a faithful, loyal dog. Yet to ask nicely? " The day I ever became apart of your harem, would be the very day you were the last man on earth, and even then You would have to capture me, and handle with my snarling and most fervent desire to kill you before you could ever get so close as to touch me. " She growled lowly to him, so low that only those with such keen hearing or with similar animal instincts could pick up upon it. Though to those less fortunate, it sounded so diplomatic it might confuse the minds into questioning just what sort of the game the two were playing, when stareing at each other so voraciously.

    Seeking to let her hand fall away, she would straighten her poise ever so subtly, the graceful lines of her bodess swaying to adjust weight upon her feet, before she sought to move past Devlin, with a brushing of shoulders and arms, as if she were to leave her scent behind and drive him crazy with it. But it was the smile which was given to him. It was best describe as luring the wolf, or in other terms a Lady Rogue who sought to bring down the Lord Rogue. " Oh.. One more thing...Devlin... " She murred as she peered over her shoulder. " I don't have to ask nicely. It's an order... One in which neither of us can refuse. You are to ensure that my vacation goes swimmingly, and while I am here, you must also be prepared to join me in a 'hunt' We've our orders after all.. And whom are we to go against 'their' orders hmm? "

    Let him stick that in his caw and chew upon it, or rather.. stew upon it. Cypress was specific in her letter, they were to learn about the other, understand each others attributes, and seek a way to conform what ever animosity, so as to work together on the next mission. Loathe as she was to take on a partner, orders were orders, and since Coventina had nothing to loose, and.. as her gaze roam over him from head to toe, and back up to meet his eyes with an arching brow, nothing to gain either.. She would play devils advocate and do as she was told for the time being...

    (Kyra)

    Devlin and his harem eh? To Kyra's knowlege such a thing does not exist. At least, not yet. She's known Devlin to be a flirt and do as men are known to do time to time, that's just natural given what he is. That doesn't mean that there are not females out there that wish he had. They were ignorable, she didn't interfere much unless she got subtle hints that she needed to. However but the ones that acted like nekos in heat Kyra chased them off! She didn't say too much for the attraction note, even Kyra will admit hessitantly if asked the golden haired bartender is. That however doesn't have anything to do with her actions, most of the time putting that in the recesses of her mind. Being in the top ten of the worst people to have in bed because of her prosthetics does wonders in keeping her emotions grounded to a controllable level. Yeah, it tends to rub off on her self esteem like a knife through butter. She could take them off and be mostly soft, but that leaves her with only one arm and leg, and become a useless stump... Who would want a fragment of a woman when there was a more attractive whole one not too far away? Yeah... that's how Kyra views her body, and as a result, she doesn't flirt with many.

    The tension at the bar, with the subtle insults being thrown back and forth Kyra at this point was more or less annoyed... Granted she was understanding that a physical fight wouldn't break out here. So she had pretty much stood down from general alert to simmering annoyance. Something had obviously gone down between these two, and considering the blood wine and the way she sniffed at his chest earlier, and insulted Kyra had figured out that it had nothing to do with sexuality. She didn't need to look at Devlin to feel the intensity of his feelings on the matter, which drove Kyra further nuts! He doesn't act like this very often, which meant there was a good reason for it! Reasons which knowing Devlin she will never know. Not the first time he has not told her anything, and it was usually for her own good... That doesn't stop her from worrying about about him!

    The return of only a first name didn't bother Kyra. Not really... Not like she is going to go around addressing her by Coventina Sunniva. Even though so far she isn't very fond of the woman, she liked the name. Tiny Coven is what it meant if she knew what it translated to correctly. Watching as the bloodwine was downed very quickly, she must have been thirsty, or something else... Which gave another hint that something had taken place. The way they are behaving towards another. "Want a refill or perhaps something else," Kyra spoke nuetrally, being as she wasn't going to allow personal feelings to interfere with her job. While Kyra is on the job, and Coventina is a guest, it was her job to be hospitiable. Still feeling very protective over Devlin, she thinks she is doing a very good job at keeping herself under control. Which was partly due to the fact she doesn't know what happened and their so far only insulting and patronizing one another.

    A sound shook her from the dismal thoughts which taken hold, just like everyone else. There's Rory! Stealing the show in his appearances! Earning him a small smile for his accident... Breaking a table! Not much trouble there to repair, Kyra watched Coven while Devlin teased his brother. Nothing to get defensive about there... All it is a look... Which was understandable due to the way his entrance had been. Kyra stroked Pantera one more time before heading to Rory, greeting him with a hug. "There is no need to pay for anything. I can fix this. Heya Rory!" He was another good friend of hers, and sometimes partner in crime when it came to giving Devlin hell! Golden eyes looked her friend over as Kyra inspected his body. He was just fine, nothing bruised or broken due to that table. "I will be back at the bar once I fix this table."

    Walking across the room listening to Devlin and Coven's next exchange of words, she just shook her head. Not needing to nessesarily hear that growl to know that it was there. The words and witnessing her arrival, anyone with a brain could figure that out. Collecting pieces and putting them all in a pile, she turned so she could see what was going on through the corner of her eyes, pulling a pen from a pocket and drawing a design on the table, the shape of a circle. She keeps doing this to keep her memory sharp on what she needs. Dissapear when she's finished. Without any words or the like, she activated the circle, causing the materials she needed to put back together to glow. Within a moment's time, the table was put back together again, about the time that Darren and Saura would be heading up the stairs. The white light might be noticable though, but the table was whole again, save for very few splinters that were here and there. Small enough to not even be missed. Kyra patted the table and glanced towards the newly arrived Mercedes. Nodding her head with a gesture that Coven would need a guest room. Thinking the sooner Coven and Devlin are seperated, the sooner heads could cool, and a round of insults be over. Kyra realized she wanted a drink herself, as she began to move from the broken table to back to the bar.

    (Pantera)

    She would nuzzle into Devlin softly her whiskers twitch lightly soft rumbles of purring escaped. She looked at her friend Kyra a look of pride be shown in her eyes. Kyra had guess right that her rounded tummy held little kits. This be her and Wesa's first babies. She relaxed as Devlin gently eased her off his shoulder and cradled her in the crook of his arm. Those gorgeous eyes looked at Coven she greet the lady with a soft mewl. She shifted her weight getting comfy in Devlins arms.

    Of course she let Kyra take her anytime the lady is ready her tail curled up and close to her body. Eyes close to half slits her sides ripple slightly as her muscles quiver. There is going to come a time real soon here that she be ready for birthing but not just yet. She had already staked a claim under Devlins bed as her nesting spot. She has a deep feeling Devlin over look this invasion just this once. She had only chosen that spot cause she felt safe in there.

    Her eyes begin to drift close feeling fingers stroke her calming her and soothing her as she became more relaxed thrumming purr escaped. Melodious in nature the sign of a young mother content with the world. Content with her humans and happy she has new chapter in her young life to share with Wesa. She hopes her furred knight is doing ok. She does worry about him when he is off on his duties. She knew it was a matter of honor and duty that he serves. That alone made her proud and love Wesa even more that he was such a gentlemanly cat.

    (Rory)

    He heard that teasing tone from his brother Devlin he gave such a charming wide smile as he blinked softly. " Im truly sorry about that table I do admit I need to learn to teleport better then what I do right now." He give a slight chuckle and turned his gaze to Kyra he felt so bad that he gave her more work. He speak gently to his dear friend. " Forgive me Kyra I didnt mean to give you more work. It is good to see you my friend." He was going to take a step further to this cozy chair that was in a corner and where he wont be in the way.

    He froze in mid stride his more wolfish nature had just gone totatlly still he became nervous he didnt need to see the look Coven gave him. He felt it all to well an alpha staring him down it brought a shiver to him. He bit his lip hard to fight the urge to duck and crawl backwards away from Coven. It took alot more courage to turn around and look at Coven. He saw the killer looks he begin to feel even worse that provoked the lady. One fang pierced his lip he sucked at the rich coppery taste of his own blood. A little sigh escaped he knew very well Coven had that look in her eyes that tells him she love to give him a good chewing out.

    So with a little sigh he bowed his head like a little kid who got yelled at for writeing on the walls. He take two steps backwards why this is odd Coven is the first female that has ever gotten him to be submissive. His tone was rather polite but softly spoken as well as he adressed Coven. " Forgive me I didnt mean to upset you or cause harm. I apologize if I in anyway had upset you or gotten you angry." He quickly took a step back shivered why was it that she gotten him to cower like a whipped puppy. That was highly unusall normally he is pretty cocky, arrogrant and brash when dealing with strangers. Not this time she triggered a reaction in him that was rather new to him. He settled quietly in the c

    ~~~ Continued from Resident's Chambers ~
    The woman had moved out of her room, closing her door behind her, but only so much. She liked to cuddle with Pantera whenever the lady would allow it, and if she is in the room, Wesa would join his lady. So the room's door was left open enough for the kitties to slip inside. Soft soled shoes would escort their wearer down the hall, where she would watch Darren and Saura walk upstairs. Eyebrows would furrow as she wondered... What happened to Darren... Giving that bloody nose a second glance as his mother seemed quite unhappy about something. Best leave that alone, Rayne had a feeling she really didn't want to know about that... Down the stars she would walk, coming close to the end of the stairwell. Intending to take in what was going on downstairs. For anyone who would look her way, Rayne's blue eyes was looking everywhere, to get an idea of what was going on.
    Ooc: For Rayne, continued from Outer Realms.
    The first thing he saw was her blue eyes... Color so brilliant in his long jaunt in darkness that they should've blinded him. That was all he was permited to see... For the spell itself had needed a sacrifice of sorts. And so he had given up his sight... He would be like a mere prescence... Hovering... Not a spirit exactly, nor a ghost for he could not be seen. But for those who had the ability, could be sensed. He dared not touch her, for he wished not to startle... Uncertainty filled him, wondering why he was here. He asked for warmth and a strong compassionate heart.... Yet here he was... The words he incited would be for her ears only. A whisper in the wind for he had to use the elements to form them as he softly voiced, "Please help me...." The sound so soft and yet decidedly male sounding.
    It took will and control to stay ever still. He didn't even stiffen visibly, just staying exactly as he was, with a passive face that her touch did not affect him one iota... And what a bloody lie that was! Her finger tips seemed to have branded his bronzed flesh, leaving tendrils of smoke and trails of fire within his veins. Curse the shadow that responded in glee as it lapped up the attention... And worse still, as he felt it magnified!
    Within Devlin swore at the beast as he said, 'I thought you were on my side?'
    ~I am... This is good for you, trust me....~
    Devlin didn't see, but more like felt the raise of eyebrows and a laugh. How the hell did it do that? He had come to terms with his alter ego long ago, learned to live with the beast. But sometimes he was infuriating that if he could, he would choke himself to get to the shadow. His fury of abrupt annoyance was starting to get to him... Very well... Two can certainly play the game... He felt himself get overly warm as he raised his body temperature one degree at a time, not a lot... Just enough for his flesh to give off a subtle scent that should assail Coven's sense of smell. The more she touched, the more the aroma would waft towards her. A hint of sandal wood, an overture of lemon, the underlying vanilla piqued with a unique spice blended with a masculine musk. Firm sublime lips curved into a promised smile, even as his intoxicated eyes were alit with a hint of danger as he would look down upon her cold cobalt ones. He would give her the satisfaction of seeing the flamed passion within his as they darkened. His voice when he spoke would be as smooth as the finest bourbon, yet soft as velvet as he drawled in a deep husky whisper to her challenge, "Are you so sure about that?" He allowed the profound low growl within his throat to escape slightly to match her own. He didn't even use his own hands as he used his mind instead to simply do what it must. What the beast wanted... The dear little Coventina was about to feel the slightest of a caressed smooth hand upon her waist in a very intimate manner as it slid from an half inch beneath her breast underneath her clothing going downwards towards the slope of her waist, holding it for two beats before he released her, leaving her the heat of it.
    For all intents and purposes, since he made no move towards her... It was just simply not possible that he could've touched her. He didn't want a death wish, only to make her feel that he can, when he wanted touch her. Her clothing would be an unnecessary barrier and he would make her realize that. His head would turn to follow her, as if he would did not trust her to just simply let things be. He knew her brush against his solid frame was deliberate, even as he flexed his arm subtly to let her know he had indeed noticed. He received her neatly coup de grace without batting an eye... Only lifted a dark brow even as lips tilted on one side in a most charming roguish manner as he responded, "I don't live by the rules... and orders I will take when its most convenient.... As it doesn't mean I have to obey them at the moment..." His words were diplomatic enough, but he also let her know that he would still do what he bloody well pleased.
    A smirk graced upon the dominant planes of his features as he merely looked at her... He oozed of confidence and supreme magnetism... Cocky in his own way that was in no way vulgar. He refused to let her words piss him off. He didn't want to know her... Even as his shadow deemed him a liar once more by it's guffawed scoff. Bastard! Oh lovely... It seems the beast just couldn't wait to get to know her! Very well... He'll do what was proper... In his own bloody time! He continued to stroke Pantera absentmindedly as he shook his head at Rory as he said, "It's fine Rory... Though I wonder if you'll ever get it right?" He seemed to have gathered into his normal public self as he turned laughing eyes at his youngest brother. He sighed inwardly... Even if he wanted to put it off... This hunt and whatever... He still had a job to do... He looked at Kyra and rolled his eyes, giving her the indication that he would do what he was supposed to before he turned his gaze towards Coven and with the most cultured voice that was just short of impolite he said, "I guess I'm supposed to show you around the castle first and then to your rooms? Or would you rather you need escort to show you the grounds?" If a hunt was what she was here for... Well, hell... Better to get this over with and let her be on her way than to let her stay overly long.
    What!!! What was that!!!! Her mind reeled, at the intimacy being displayed upon her person in such an invasive manner, it nearly had her not able to hide the effects that rolled through her like liquid honey. Think and intoxicating. The few degrees in temperature between them rose even more, even as her gaze dialated just enough to be noticable, but not be too poigniant in what was occuring. Oh.. the man wanted to tango.. and damn it if her shadow wasn't writhing in such a manner to suggest that 'it' accepted the seeming invitation to play! Nostrils flared, yet that did not elp matters as she caught that scent so toxic to most, yet an aphrodisiac to her own sences acting up and not at all under her complete control anymore.
    Yet his words drew her away from the paths her mind and 'it' wished to take her upon. Her hand fell away as she stepped back to him. A one of a kind smiles bequeathed to him, and an succubus may care expression that could make the devil weep in 'frustrated' pain. ' to the words ~ are you sure about that?~ After that little exemplary tactic of his she wasn't so sure now. And she was never tiltered off her game ever! so what gave this man t hat ability to do so now? Questions began to spring left and right and yet she answered him with dragon fire whiskey drawl. " Quite..." even if her inner companion ranted at her about being foolish and to just take the devil himself upon the counter!
    Ignoring that part of her however, she looked towards Rory as he spoke to her. Seeing his submissive behavior to her rebuke of his antics. His words however, well it got to Coven in a small fraction of a way. Truthful and sincerely such words were spoken. So Coven dipped her head in a manner that bespoke all was well between them, despite the situation before she would speak outwardly to him. " No anger did it cause, just.. a natural reaction. " A naual alpha reaction to ensure that safty was thought of first and foremost to the pack, and not shinannigans. That and it probably did not help in the least Devlin being able to annoy her, but that was not Rory's fault in the least. He just happened to catch a small brunt of that annoyance. Though is appology was accepted.
    Looking to Kyra she dipped her head again as she moved to brush past Devlin to head away from him. She needed to gain some distance from him or she was going to do something she would regret later if she did not at least attempt to." Thank you Kyra for the drink. " She'd say cordially only to turn her head over her shoulder and pause in midstride when Devlin spoke to her on escorting her about.. Oh now what a pleasant offer. To spend more time with him, and to be shown around by his stuffy self. After all had he just not mentioned not conforming to rules, and doing it when he felt it good and proper to obey 'them'? " No the grounds can wait.. though.. I think I shall take you up on your offer to escort me to my rooms. I tend to relax for a few days before going about to do as told. " Oh she could be a rule breaker, she knew the mision was important, but well to get him to curse a little more or was that squirm a little more about her staing on for a while before finishing up with the missing? Well that just might be the icing on the cake.
    “Don’t worry about it Rory,” Kyra grinned as fixing the table wasn’t much trouble at all. At least not for her it was. Simply found all the materials together, draw the transmuation circle and use her ability. Simple… as… that… Kyra stood as the table she was sitting at was fixed and appeared a bit different wood grain wise, but if you looked at it, one wouldn’t be able to tell that it was in pieces a moment ago. Making her way back to the bar, she would poke Rory in the side, she cared of course… The Vindictious were the closest to family she has in this round of existance… Some insinuate that there was potential between the two of them, the way when Kyra is off her shift she clowns around with him… Kyra’s feelings were platonic for the youngest Vindictious… He was like a younger brother to her in a round about sort of way... Someone to love and protect while she hangs around him… Sure, she pops in his lap when Rory gets attention that he doesn’t want, but those that take the time to understand the situation know Kyra’s only doing it for the Malkavian’s own protection, and if you stretch the truth, for the female or males protection as well. Rory has been known to torment with illusions when he feels threatened.
    She didn’t miss the way Rory backed down from Coventina either… Great… Just lovely… Can’t say much for Riker’s experiences with this woman being he hasn’t been around for years, but she only just met Devlin! Recently Kyra figured, but enough to know that the experience with the Vindictious is rather new… Kyra was inwardly growling again, for last she checked Rory was not in her pack to keep watch after. Granted apologizing for upseting a guest in the home isn’t bad behavior, the fact this woman pressed dominance over Rory was another log to add to the fire here. It had fallen into place though, Coven had accepted the apology, so Kyra decided to just let it be for now, and keep a careful eye on the situation to make sure it doesn’t get out of hand. This was her family in a way, and she was no coward when it came to their protection… Devlin and Riker didn’t need it so much, Kyra watched their backs as well while Rory was the vulnerable one.
    Kyra had approached Rory, to give him a pat of reassurance, that everything was going to be okay… Relieved if anything to see the laughter in Devlin’s eyes dispite the woman who obviously grated his nerves… If she wasn’t there from the start, she would wonder perhaps what he was up to… This was obviously a battle of wills, to not let the other one dominate and cause the other to cowtow… A game to fluster the other while anyone just coming into the situation would perhaps see two people in the beginning of… what is that word? Foreplay… Knowing Devlin, if she voiced that thought, she would be theoretically punted, or whatever revenge he would seek to take. It would be in good teasing, but not at this moment. Perhaps later when everyone’s in more of a mood for it… Depending on what comes of this dominance battle…
    Kyra gave a short nod of her golden blond head at the rolling of the eyes. Her way of more or less telling him to be careful! She figured Coven might not do anything at the moment, and Kyra will keep her council for the moment… She didn’t trust the woman as of yet, but like Devlin, she had a job to do. Working the bar, something that by now she knew like the back of her hand, she was required to be diplomatic, and put on an appearance of being friendly. Kyra kept pretty serious, to keep her emotions to herself while she looked to the icy one. “Your welcome,” She nodded, to not say anything more that was nessesary, and yes, at the moment she was on Devlin’s side… Loyal creature that she was… Understanding that sometimes she just has to let things play out their natural course… Even if she doesn’t understand why Devlin has to do these things. She never heard those in charge here order this, so it had to do with why Devlin left to A’zyrla… But the question was, what did those he answered to there have to do with anything here… Something wasn’t right… Knowing Devlin, he’s not going to give the answers she wants… Stubborn overprotective dominating, charismatic man! Okay… She does appreciate that he is protective of her…
    “Anytime, just lemme know what you want…” Kyra added to that, giving a small smile. Taking up after the example to try to be helpful. Walking back behind the bar, she wanted something to calm her own nerves down while she winked at Pantera. Reaching down, she got a bottle that was stuff of her own. Super strong coffee mixed with rich chocolate milk with a hint of alchol to it for an extra spike. Not enough for the bottle to get her drunk, but enough to really feel good. Sorry Rory… It would be bad to let you get ahold of this kind of spike…. Using her alchemic ability, she warmed the bottle up and took a swig of it, setting the glass bottle on the counter…. “WWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOO!” She shook her head as Kyra shook her head! Now THAT hit the spot!!! Before they would leave, Kyra offered the bottle… Should anyone want to try… Her natural leg twitched, she was enjoying the caffene rush… Good for knocking out stress without getting plastered.
