Sweeping his Kitten into his arms Daemon pressed her tightly to his perfectly sculpted chest. The care and attention he had given to her had affected him in many ways. Some, such as the feelings of tenderness, were still foreign at times to a pure blood created demon but never unwelcome. Others, such as the deep seeded need to protect, were not so obscure. All things considered this woman, Star, had taken this arrogant evil and transformed him into an arrogant yet loving man. Daemon would always be Daemon but for the Kitten's eyes alone he would forever be so much more. Nostrils flared as Daemon drank in her scent. The sweet smell of floral mingling with the musk of her arousal. A feral growl irrupted within his throat lending to the now lustfully handsome features. Words were unnecessary in this moment as his mouth lowered to devour her own. His lips were hungered. His tongue intrusive as it sought out her own for a savage dance. Again the growl gathered deep within passing between their parted lips. Daemon's arms tightened crushing her to him for the duration of the kiss releasing her only when his head fell back drawing in a deep breath of audible frustration.

Jaw clenching Daemon lowered his head forcing his feet to move. Abysmal flames danced within the dark depths of the Generals eyes as the swift clip of his booted heel was interrupted by the splintering of their chamber door. Twisting his torso he brought his precious cargo through the wooden remnants making his way to the secreted stairwell that led to her council chambers. Daemon didn't trust himself to speak. There was a job to be done and while he loathed it with ever fibre of his being he would not keep her from it.

He held her more carefully now the needs of the moment filtered into each determined stride. Basteredly handsome features where now set in the stone mask he wore for such events though the Kitten alone would know what brewed just below the surface. Only when they reached the private entrance would he set her down that she may make her own regal entrance. Daemon did not simply love Star he respected the title she bore. A final look filled with all the love and longing he held deep within passed between them. Then without a single uttered word Daemon opened the door waiting for his wife to pass and the Empress to enter.

Council Chambers Empty Re: Council Chambers

Post  Admin Tue Aug 03, 2010 7:53 pm

In all her many years Amelee had never once been so well loved, adored and nurtured...until of course she met Daemon Black, her husband, consort, the father of her children and the absolute love of her life. The corners of her pale lips slanted upwards giving a ghostly smile, he had actually had her purring in contentment as he slowly bathed and assisted with her dressing. His hands were so gentle as they caressed against the coolness of her flesh sending ripples upon ripples of goose bumps coursing the length of her slight form. She had wanted nothing more then to stay with him locked within their chambers so she could show him exactly how deeply she felt for him, as words were never enough to express the true depths of her feelings.

But then they both had to curb these needful feelings no matter how aroused they might have become within this short time they had alone together. The duties and needs of Eternal came first and foremost in their lives, and at this moment chaos seemed to reign supreme within the Empire's lands. The return of not only Fayte..her long lost daughter, the return of the Dark Lord himself...after all these years, and following the path of the 'once lost but now found again' pattern was the Lady Lien Tao. Why had the Lady come at such a specific time, Roan after what 20 years of absence? And Fayte after a century...it was all so puzzling and Amelee detested puzzles.

Her quiet reverie was interrupted the moment her beloved swept her up into his arms and cradled her small frame fittingly against his own. "Oh!..." was all she managed in response to this sudden movement before his mouth lowered to mesmerizingly consume her own. Arms moved to twine tightly around Daemon's neck as pale digits weaved their way into his thick obsidian locks. She gripped his hair pulling his head further down in order to deepen the passion of their kiss. Trembles wracked her body as she reacted to his deep needful resonating growl as it passed through her pale parted lips. It was almost as if an electric current swept up and down her spine completely weakening her resolve of putting Eternal's problems before her and Daemon's pleasure.

It was not she but Daemon himself who managed to finally break the kiss they shared. "Beloved...?" Intense silver spheres gazed deeply into the vivid azure of his own before moving slowly over his perfect features. The frustration that was etched there was felt two-fold within herself and without another thought she closed her eyes and rested her head lightly against his shoulder. The loud splintering of their chamber door as Daemon kicked it away from it's frame did not phase her in the least as she had well grown used to such over their many years here. "Why do you even bother having the door's replaced when all they will eventually become is scrap kindling for our hearth, beloved? What makes this one? The seventh door this week?" Trying to make light of the situation she opened her eyes and once again gazed lovingly onto his features. Pale digits moved from where they curled within his hairline to caress cooly down the line of his strong jaw before running along the swell of his shapely lips. "Please do not fret so my love...we have tonight, we have tomorrow, we have forever."

She was set down as they reached the foot of the stairs just before the Council Chambers private entrance. A moment was taken in order to relax the myriad emotions roiling through her frame. One last look was given to Daemon as the unsaid words passed between them. Reaching out she grasped his hand tightly in her own as he held the door open for her and moved through with Daemon in tow. Sharp yet pale features became an unemotional mask, mercurial spheres indifferent to those nobles who converged daily within the council room whether they were needed or not. "Seems like our guests have not yet arrived...how convenient and yet as usual I expected such..."

It is but a simple thing to dodge the spear thrown at your chest but it is another matter to dodge the arrow shot at your back.

The grace of each delicately placed step was as a swan gliding through the tranquil lake. Not a ripple or disturbance touched her frame as the Lady Lien Tao assisted in escorting the young woman down to the dungeon's depths. She could feel the raw emotion emanating from girl. Her conflict ran deep, to the very core of her being, this fact alone told the fate that there was hope yet for this one. "All things will be revealed in their proper time." This would be the only answer Fayte would receive to the many question left unasked. A delicate hand extended clasping the girl's with a surprising strength holding the grip for several moments as their eyes locked. Within the ageless depths Fayte could see that the woman knew all but would hold her silence for now.

Threading her arm through the General's she allowed him to lead her to the Empress’s Council Chambers. The journey was made without words as each remained immersed in their own thoughts. Lien Tao's hand rested easily on Kaden's forearm the tips giving a feathery soft caress as each step was placed. As he would open the broad double doors a smile would accompany a dip of her chin. "I thank you Wo de ai ren." Her words where barely a whisper as they spilled over her lips to caress his ear alone. She would then take three steps into the chamber itself before pressing both palms together near to her heart. Bowing deeply to the Empress, who stood near the thrown with her consort, the Lady Tao would hold the pose for three heartbeats.

Once the proper respect had been demonstrated she would rise up gliding down the center of the aisle to stand before the Empress. Formalities would be forgone as permission to freely speak had been given earlier on the grounds. A timeless honey mocha gaze sought and held that of Amelee's and her voice was filled with the strength of wisdom.

"Events have been set into motion that can not be disturbed or tampered with. Fate is playing its hand within your kingdom and the destiny of all who reside may very well be at stake. Your daughter's return marks the beginning of these events. She was the herald for the one who slept. As difficult as it may be I strongly urge you to rethink your judgment of placing her within your dungeons. She must be allowed to do what she has come to do or we all will suffer a great lose."

A pause was given as her gaze turned toward a nearby window. Although she did not move it could easily be said that she was looking far beyond what could be physically seen. A thoughtful expression passed over ageless features before she again turned her full attention back to the Empress.

"In truth there are far more pressing matters that will demand your attention then the reunion of yourself to your daughter. Even now your son's rush to face the minion’s of your blood. Two lives hang in the balance one known and one yet to be known. Your true threat lies without not within your walls."

Council Chambers Empty Re: Council Chambers

Post  Admin Tue Aug 03, 2010 7:53 pm

Leonidas had been wrestling with how he would explain the recent turn of events to the Empress as he moved through the castle. He knew that he should be presenting her new General now that she had at last arrived in chambers but he could not bring himself to go retrieve her. There were so many pressing things at hand even aside from his own personal matters. A prisoner, apparently the Empress's first born, had returned only to be immediately sent to the dungeons. There was also the unexpected appearance of the Lady Tao which always signified some major event taking place within the kingdom. It was due to these events that he felt it best to go the Council Chambers first. He would assure that the Empress was well guarded and that she was indeed ready to have any further attendants before retrieving the newest member of her military.

His feet felt like lead as he neared the room but he held himself proudly as her the General of her personal guard should. Long strides carried him over the threshold and he immediately moved to take his place a few paces behind her at the opposite side of Daemon. Using the mind link created long ago by the Dark Lord himself Leonidas would touch the mind of those who served under his command checking their positions to make sure all was in order. Once he had assured that there was no possible danger to any within the room he then began to scan the minds of those on watch especially those who watched over the Prince's. Just as the Lady Tao had made her declaration that the heirs where headed for a fray the General received the alarm that the twins where leaving the castle headed for something within the wood.

Leonidas turned abruptly calling within his mind to those on guard to report exactly where the two were headed. Quickly he made his way to one of the windows attempting to look out in an attempt to see for himself. Glancing upward he saw the underside of an icy sled that was weaving its way toward the forest and a brief blur as the two slid by. Meticulously he called to each member of the guard until at last he was able to gather the source of the disturbance. "Lycan," the word fell from his lips two seconds after it came to his conscious mind. Pivoting on the balls of his feet the General looked back to the Empress. Every member of her military would now be on high alert simply awaiting her command.

Amelee waited quietly as she listened to Lien Tao's intense yet prophetic words regarding Fayte...her daughter, the conniving little betrayer! To show such a compassion and allow the little chit a residence outside of the dungeons, even at Lady Tao's insistence, was far far beyond her thin lined patience at this time. Lengthy pale digits curled white knuckled within the folds of her Imperial robes at just the thought of -that- girl. Sharp mercurial spheres shifted slightly in order to study the Lady's quiet yet determined profile. "Not now Lien Tao.." her words followed upon a deep meaningful sigh. "Fayte will remain where she is until "I" personally see fit to remove her. Is it not enough she had been allowed a place within the Castle rather then thrown out once again with a continued banishment?" A brief pause was given as she thought carefully upon her next words. It was that moment Lady Tao turned to face her, mysterious amber eyes clashed with her own pale silver.

The next words rang first through her head before weaving its way down through to her very soul causing her heart to flutter in fear and more. Minions of your Blood...Such could only mean one thing. The one thing she would not speak out loud lest she herself rush from the chambers to confront this evil that touched upon her lands. First and foremost, her son's were in danger. Even though deep down she knew they could handle themselves in certain situations she still felt that typical fright as a mother for her careless offspring. All during this Amelee's outward appearance remained cool and aloof, only those closest to her heart would be able to decipher the myriad emotions roiling within her eyes.

Taking first one deep breath then another in attempt to calm a racing heart she lifted the hem of her robes before making her way to Lien Tao's side. "Have your men continue to remain at their current positions General Leonidas. You may continue your rounds within the Castle, inform me immediately if anything else is amiss. I believe Daemon along with Kaden and the Shadow Knights if need be can take care of this problem." Mercurial spheres touched longingly upon her husband and consort before her thoughts brushed urgently within his mind. Keep our sons from harm...and you as well, my love. At the same time trembling fingers moved to caress along the smoothness of the ruby encased partially within the haft of her dagger before gripping tightly to the hilt. With that motion she would alert the one who wore it's exact twin to the danger within her lands, if he was not already aware that is.

Daemon's attentions had not wavered from his Kitten. He had taken his place long ago and bore witness to many an exchange. The unreadable mask of a bastardly handsome face was set in stone. That was of course until those mercurial spheres touched azure optics igniting an inferno. Her words slice through the psyche evenly dividing the General's desires. At the mention of his wayward seed his eyes would roll. Since conception they had done all within their power to disrupt the balance of life itself. Often Daemon had believed it necessary to simply do away with them as they could easily create new. However his Kitten's attachment to the imps would not allow, thus forcing the Abysmal General to save them from their own stupidity. While his patience had reached its end shortly after their birth Daemon's love for his wife was limitless.

Inhaling deeply her parting words touched upon his mind drawing him near to her his lip grazing heatedly over the tender flesh of her neck. Exhaling the Abysmal General would turn away sharply calling to his younger sibling over a muscular shoulder. "Come brother..let us see what my imps have gotten themselves into now."

The sun had positioned itself within the archways leading to the Kitten's gardens. Daemon paused momentarily within calling to mind a flexed pose addressed to an Imperial beauty not so long ago. The heated rays where outdone in that instance as infernal Abysmal flames ignited over Daemon's body searing away the memory of clothing. Demonic wings tore from his back spraying the sand stone crimson and his tale now writhed in perverted invitation upon the floor.

Launching himself into the air Daemon's sleek body rose like a fiery phoenix swooping over the grounds. It did not take long to see the path of destruction that had become his son's signature. Drawing up short the Abysmal General became aware of exactly who had begun this confrontation. "LAC," the name was spat out in a booming hiss of loathing. All who knew Daemon knew well the hatred he bore toward this single being not only for the single defect given in their last confrontation but more so for the crimes committed against his love. In the blink of an eye Daemon was in motion rage fuelling lifetimes of military training as he bore down on the unsuspecting lycan.

Post  Admin Tue Aug 03, 2010 7:54 pm

The trouble that seemed to run rampant over the whole Eternal this very day did not phase the General in the least. The more turbulent the atmosphere then the better it was for him, for he loved his job. He worked hard to achieve the station he now bore within the Empire and the people whom resided within and without recognized, even respected his authority. A small grin would momentarily tug at the corner of his lips. Yes, even his sibling shown him a certain deference. For without a doubt he himself was stronger, more intelligent and definitely more easily in control his emotions then Daemon.

Eyes the color of the palest cerulean narrowed slightly as he gazed equally between all those who resided within the council chambers, listening carefully to the words being spoken. Lycans...this was not his first encounter with the beasts nor he doubted it would be the last. But what had brought them so close in proximity to Eternal Lands so much so that it would actually rouse the notice of the Imperial Guard?...much less Amelee and Daemon's twin Imps. Putting such questions to the side Kaden shifted slightly bringing his right hand to rest comfortingly upon Lien Tao's own, whose arm still remained threaded through his own. Leaning down a bit he brought his lips close to the shell of her ear. "Be at ease, my lady. I can hear the worry coating your words. The lycan menace will be halted and the twins will as usual be held accountable for all of today's happenings." His smooth tone took to a light teasing with his latter words.

Gently removing Lady Tao's arm from his own, Kaden gave a single nod to his sibling. "Very well, you take to the air and I shall take the ground path. Lady Tao please stay with the Empress, all should be well within the Castle itself." With his words he gave a customary mental tap to each of the guards stationed under General Leonidas making sure all was well upon the grounds closest to the castle itself. A quick glance was again given to Daemon whose transformation had just taken place before Kaden moved towards the opposite exit and headed quickly through the winding corridors that lead directly to the main entrance and courtyard.

The General stood at the ready and the instant the orders where given he in turn gave the commands that all where to remain at their posts on high alert. Standing tall his fist slammed in the center of his chest as he bowed his head in salute to the Empress. Leonidas then pivoted and began to stride toward the chamber doors.

His mind was still attuned to the officers giving them very specific instructions to keep him fully aware of every detail when the doors swung wide the General was brought up short. Standing in the doorway trying desperately to get his attention was Wesa. Leonidas had become extremely fond of the cat from the moment of their meeting. They had also worked together often allowing the General to learn that this was not Wesa's normal behavior. Something was very wrong and as he looked closer he saw the bracelet on the floor. Leonidas's heart froze within his chest as he reached down to pick it up. Visibly paling he looked from the jewellery to Wesa, "Saura."

His fingers curled around it, "take me to her Wesa." Leonidas began to move forward with determined steps every muscle tightening with anticipation. "Quickly Wesa, no matter what I may find I must see her now."

Wesa had been relieved, Leonidas had seen the unmistakable bracelet on the floor. Saura does have a unique look to her, lovely and as unique than a mouse statue made of the blue diamond with a ray of sunlight hitting it right by human standards. Wesa thinks his lady looks the same way. The look upon his human's face meant that he got the messenge that the son with his head screwed on straight needed sent. Wesa would mewl one more time, conveying that he understood. There was no other way than to go directly to her.

As he walked, his fur stood on edge, sensing the level of stress that was going on, and the calamity that seemed to burst all at once. Pantera should still be safe on the first floor, with Devlin so she was safe. He was glad for that. Hoping that no servant had to be sent for him because she was in harm's way.

Fortunatly, he may be the smaller creature, but Wesa had no problems keeping only ahead enough to lead. Peeking into reflective objects to make sure he wasn't too far ahead while he was retracing his steps. Leading the way back to Saura. After all, the castle was large enough that to search every one of them would take a while and that would be more time with Saura stressing. The paladin that she is with Wesa wondered if he had ever taken interest in anyone in a non chaste manner, so she wasn't left without a good guard. Not to insult any of the castle staff, for the Emperess is likely to only keep the best. Hence his companion was in charge.

It wouldn't take long to get to where Saura was, being the pace they were going and how close that they were already. When they would reach the room Wesa would pass by the open door and then sit down. Glancing towards Leo as if saying here we were. Wondering how Saura was, the cat didn't move yet, for he wanted Leo to go in first. She was his lady, and thus it was his right to enter the room first.

Council Chambers Empty Re: Council Chambers

Post  Admin Tue Aug 03, 2010 7:55 pm

Dante's naturally autocratic features remained impassive as he for the second time in less then a minute straightened the vermilion lace cuffs that spilled from the sleeves of his suit. He moved with cat like poise down the long passageway, heading towards the Council Chambers in order to give his report regarding the success's and failures of his Diplomatic missions. He detested the formality required in these situations yet learned to cope after years abroad as a diplomat of the Empire.

A rough grumble of annoyance began to form within his chest and he gave the cuff yet another hard tug. A sounding rip echoed within the hall and upon looking down he noticed a rather large amount of torn lace gripped in clawed digits. Damn you... His voice was a low growl as he mentally berated the suit's tailor whose name had conveniently slipped his mind. Such fragile outfits, how he wished he could burn them all and once again revert back to his torn and scuffed leathers, slouching boots and red trench. Bah! Slightly vexed now tapered digits would rise to slide through cool midnight locks.

It was then Dante's thoughts took a complete one-eighty. Lifting his hands close against his features he inhaled deeply. Her scent...her very essence still lingered upon his flesh, upon his tongue. Ensanguined spheres deepened in remembered ecstasy at the thought of her...his life mate, Rivanna. He almost groaned aloud as the last image he had of her pale flesh sprawled satiated against a backdrop of dark silk, moved like honey through his mind. His steps slowed almost coming to a halt and if not for the noisy salutations of the passing guards he would have backtracked towards the chambers they shared. So drawn was he to her, he felt as if he were the moth to her ever enduring flame.

Shaking his head slightly to release such images he continued forwards through the massive single doorway flanked on either side by stoic imperial guards. Better to get this over with now then later. A narrowed gaze raked contemptuously over the current inhabitants of the room, with a single nod of obeisance given to the Empress, his aunt. "Well well well..." his low tone whispered to those within the chambers yet was directed directly at Lien Tao. "...seems like the servant's rumors that are spreading like wildfire ring true." Full lips lifted in a semblance of a grin showing a flash of lengthy aciculate incisors. "What approaching prophetic disaster managed to pull you back to Eternal this time?" Even though his voice remained low and courteous one could hear the bite of dislike within the words.

It had been she...this ancient intruder who had caused his first downfall within Eternal. Even though it had been centuries ago his image of her had always rang with deceit and betrayal. Not giving the old woman a chance to answer he turned and moved to sprawl haphazardly in one of the many seats strewn around the massive council table. Pulling the scrolled up reports from his coat pocket Dante tossed them carelessly upon the table. "As you requested Empress, signed documentation, treaties, opened trade routes...blah blah blah. Its all there." His hand gestured towards the sheets of vellum. "Gifts have also been sent along with me on my return to Eternal. I had left them on the ship as they await your acceptance." Covering a bored yawn his gaze shifted disdainfully in Lien Tao's direction as he awaited some response or other.

The “diplomatic” mission had not gone exactly to plan; the mere suggestion from the fat old dictator that he would sign the trade agreement if she would sleep with him had pricked at the demons long subdued rage. The air within the chamber shimmered and sparked at the point she would enter, a mini storm raging in a confined area to the far left of the chamber not only announcing her arrival but also her mood. The fabric of space and time was shredded by a perfectly manicured set of nails before disappearing back into the rift only to materialize a few moments later holding aloft the severed gore filled head of the dictator by the hair the look of terror fixed in rigor mortis the last moment of his life evident. The trophy was tossed casually onto the large table before the svelte, leather clad frame hair hanging loose to her waist the ends brilliant vermillion with fresh cruor, porcelain flesh stained, twin ivory daggers still pressed firmly against the plump curve of her lower lip giving her a soft hiss to her words as her eyes blazed crimson relishing her first kill in far too long.

Top lip lifted into a casual snarl “the mission didn’t exactly go to plan” was all she said before the scents of the room hit her, nostrils flared at the predominant scent in the room her head snapped around to face her mate and those lips flickered into what in any other creature would have been a smile, in a heart beat she was in front of him bloodied hands placed upon his chest “Dante..” images of the last time they had seen each other flickered within her mind him leaving their chambers before she had to leave, she hissed softly, almost affectionately as chin tilted up to soak in the image of her mate. She drunk deep of his scent but her left eye twitched, there was another scent in the room that drew her attention and she tore her eyes away from that longed for moment. “Fayte……” she hissed through extended fangs as talons twitched, how she had longed to rip her features apart, free that bitch’s still beating heart from the splintered smile of her rib cage and feat upon it and now here she was.

Council Chambers Empty Re: Council Chambers

Post  Admin Tue Aug 03, 2010 7:55 pm

Mercurial depths lingered long upon the vanishing form of her beloved husband as he along with Kaden rushed to investigate the lycan intrusion upon Eternal lands. The Empress stood quiet and motionless, smooth pale features turned skywards. For that moment she was not fully within the Council Chambers as her mind was completly incased within Daemon's, allowing her senses to merge with those of his own. A single fervent shiver raced down her spine at the pure intimacy of such a link. Even though this contact was made for the reason of keeping track of her errant young, it had as usual completely opened up the ones thoughts and memories to the other. Chilled digits rose to brush longingly against the heated path of his earlier kiss upon her neck. Her need, her desire and her absolute love for Daemon burned like a bright beacon always in her surface thoughts. A sigh would whisper past her lips followed by the hope that this day's events would end well and soon. For if it did she had planned to finish exactly what her mate had started earlier while within the privacy of their chambers.

Even with the link remaining open Amelee turned her focus outwards to those who were called within the Council room. A simple nod of acknowledgment was given to each before silvered orbs fastened upon the shadowed visage of Roblen. "I will be but a moment..." she addressed this towards Lady Tao and the others. "There is a private matter I must discuss."

Lifting the hem of the heavy imperial robes she wore she made her way to stand before the Master Assassin. Amelee eyed him in concerned assessment for a quick moment before lifting a hand to rest lightly against his leather clad shoulder. "It is good to see you again my friend." Taking a deep breath she stepped closer within the shadowy nook making well and sure their discussion would remain private. "Thank you for arriving so swiftly I had no idea you were still within the area?" The words themselves were more a question than statement. "There has been a bit of trouble here. It seems Lac's..." The demon's name was expressed with a low growl of extreme hatred and a drawn out pause was given. "...minions have been scouting my lands. I'm not sure of the details...the whys or what's. Daemon and Kaden have gone off to investigate following on the heels of my brat pack. At the moment the situation there is under control." The image of her youngest son standing within a ring of flame entrapping the lycans came to mind followed by Daemon and Kaden stuck within a fierce battle. "You are my eyes and ears, my silent shadow. You can be where I cannot. There must have been something you have seen or heard out there." Her fingers flicked outwards motioning towards the lands outside of her garden walls. "What have you to report?" She waited there silently listening to his words. His facts were stated quickly and efficiently as usual, and after within the blink of an eye he was gone.

Moving from the shadows Amelee made her way once again to Lien Tao's side who now stood at the head of the massive council table. At that moment a new image slammed into her mind followed quickly with her mate's reassurance. She had a clear and perfect view, as witnessed by Daemon, of her eldest son falling from a tree that must have been AT LEAST fifty foot if not more. Is HE gods damned crazy!? Her fingers clenched hard against the smooth polished wood of the table. As if she herself were falling her heart felt as if it were about to erupt from her chest. A moment later with an audible crack the corner of the table splintered off within her hands. I'm going to kill that boy...kill him myself! She knew such a fall would not nor could kill him, but she could and would. He had BETTER have a good explanation for this!

Tossing the ruined scrap of timber to the side Amelee focused her attention to Dante who happened to arrive quite late. "Fancy seeing you here." Cold mercurial spheres narrowed as they centered upon him and the temperature within the room seemed to drop rapidly. "You sir are late...I sent for you well over an hour ago." Her tone remained neutral yet her words were coated with venom. She listened to Dante's tirade against Lady Tao but pushed it aside in order to concentrate upon the many missives he tossed upon the table. The Lady after all was well and able to manage herself against his unwarranted ramblings. With quick efficiency she skimmed over the elaborate handwritten words then handed the documents over to Lien Tao in order to hold. "Live cargo? I was sent a human as a gift!? What kind of insult is this?" Pale lips pulled back in a grimace of distaste, as if she did not have enough of these creatures inhabiting her Castle. "Very well..." she waived her hand dismissively. "...I accept it...this gift. But inform the captain he may toss it into the sea. I'm sure it will make something a good meal."

That matter was settled and quickly forgotten as her mind was pulled into the private link she shared with her Imperial General Leonidas. With he, his family and among perhaps a few others Amelee would easily rescind her criticism of humans. Over the years she grew close...almost fond even of Leonidas, Saura and their children. So much so that she had elevated one to take on the role of General to the Imperial Guards and the other as an Ambassador. With a growing empathy the Empress listened fully to Leo's words before stating the account given to her by Roblen. "Head towards the lake Leo...It is there you shall find what you seek." With that she said no more, Roblen's report would suffice enough warning to prepare the General for what he was sure to come across.

Tapered digits would move to press against her temples. "What can possibly go wrong now..." A silvered gaze shifted to rest upon her personal advisor Lien Tao before raking over those others within the room. "Well who is next!?" Amelee called out in a sarcastic jest...yet would have swallowed those words if she were able. For at that precise moment a storm brewed up ravaging within a far corner of the council chambers. Only one she knew of had always preferred such extravagant entrances such as this and upon that thought the very image conjured to mind stepped out from the darkness. Rivanna...her sister at arms and one of her dearest friends. "And you my dear are quite early...how did the mission go?" The answer to that no more then a moment later was a sounding loud -thunk- smacking upon the table. Whatever it was rolled to a stop, a dozen inches from where the Empress stood at the table's edge, to glare at her in horror filled accusation. This time a groan of agony did escape past parted lips. A severed human head?...The room's temperature decreased rapidly as if the heat was sucked directly from the air itself followed by thin sheets of ice forming against the walls. "Not exactly to plan?" She responded despondantly to her friend's words. "Please...tell me this is NOT who I think it might be..."A single finger lowered to point directly at the severed head as her gaze moved between Lien Tao and Rivanna. Tremulous thoughts swept through her mind like water through a broken dam with each one being fed directly to her beloved mate Daemon. If your finished playing with the little lycans my love...then perhaps you and Kaden can double time it back here...NOW!

It is said, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

The Lady Tao had walked upon the path of life long enough to see the truth in each turn of the phrase. One can never truly know the heart of another to judge them friend or foe. Only actions consistent over time could be the counter weight in tipping the scales of determination.

A gracious bow of the head was given to the Generals words. "No harm shall befall our esteemed Empress." Delicate hands would fold before her as the Lady Tao would glide to Amelee's side. Her poise was such that any observers would think her merely an advisor. A humble fragile woman who could not possibly pose a threat against an attack. They could not possibly know the true nature of what lay beneath the portrayed mask.

Each new arrival would be greeted with the same respectful bow. A gesture toward those welcome or bade entrance within the chambers. It would be offered even to those such as Dante who wore his shame as uncomfortably as he wore his clothing. "It is my equal pleasure to see you too Dante."

Allowing the Empress to first read her missives the Lady Tao would turn her gaze fully upon her. "Custom would dictate not only the acceptance but the use of such a gift. You have summoned one who can train such a one along with others who may seek this home. Would you not give reason why this one should accept your offer at the same time building ties between Empires?"

Lien Tao would pause glancing to the spot Rivanna would soon arrive. "We will need such ties with the events even now set in motion." Her words would fore warn just as the horror stricken visage of a neighboring kingdoms ruler rolled down the table to greet them.

Council Chambers Empty Re: Council Chambers

Post  Admin Tue Aug 03, 2010 7:55 pm

Dante waited consumed by a bout of boredom as Amelee took a rather lengthy moment to privately address Roblen. What news could this fool assassin possibly bring that would put my own on hold? He thought to himself in haughty disdain before turning his attentions again on Lien Tao. He did not bother to waste a single breath in an attempt to converse with the old woman. Yet he did stare long and hard, blooded gaze boring onto her cool features, he knew she was more then she seemed as she stood small and fragile looking even against his Aunt's tiny frame. This knowing he held caused the hatred again to rise within and his lip curled in uncontrolled disgust. That's right 'royal advisor'...my revenge will come when you least expect it...just you wait. A sharp nudge that came from one of the many non-human council room attendants letting him know the Empress was about to address him brought his attention back to the fore. The aggressive emotions clouding his features quickly faded. It would not do after all to express such ill feelings while stuck within a room of Lady Tao's eager supporters.

His head tilted slightly as his gaze rested once again upon his aunt. A devious smile cracked across aristocratic features as Dante attended upon Amelee's words to him. "How was I late?" This was followed by a look of feigned surprise. "No messenger ever came to my door, madam." He lied easily while bringing up his hand to cast an interested glance upon the lengthy claws that extended from tapered digits. He did not nor would not mention the fact that this messenger DID in fact come to his chamber door. The poor human managed to get out the words, "Her Royal Highness requests your..." before becoming sustenance for a hungry demon. Poor little thing tried to fight bravely...yet as was usual such pathetic a creature was no match for Dante. Well..what was done was done and a decent meal at least came out of it. A fraction of a smile again lifted the corners of his lips. He wondered what would become of the Empress's eldest twin Branden when the messenger's bloodless body was found tossed haphazardly from the boys high chamber window.

A single nod was given at Amelee's order regarding this 'gift' from the neighboring kingdom. "Into the sea, eh?" He said not at all surprised at her words. "Very well then." Rising from his seat he moved towards the doorway in order to find some lackey or other to send back to the ship and give the command. A pause would halt his forwards progress as nostrils flared drawing in the intoxicating scent that suddenly overwhelmed his senses. "Rivanna..." Only she could cause a powerful thrumming centered within his chest and stir his perception to such dizzying heights. Before he had a chance to even turn in her direction she was before him. Her hands placed upon his chest were heated brands and his own moved to gently frame the perfection of her features. Blooded orbs gazed deeply into her own momentarily mesmerized, "My love." He stated in a low growl as his head lowered to claim that longed for kiss from his mate. Just inches from her deliciously plump lips he noticed the tell tale twitching of her left eye. Damn it to hell! What now? He thought exasperated as at the exact same moment her head turned away to glare at those others within the room. "Fayte....?" Wait what? Distaste again coated his features as he gazed in abject accusation at Lien Tao. "Is this your doing old woman?"

She hissed through elongated canines, that lush mouth filled with row upon row of razor sharp daggers, talons extended beyond the realms of comfort so much so her own claret dripped to coat the tips in her own intoxicating venom. She stood ready at her mate’s side like the baying beast at the gates to her home, lissom shoulders lifted and fell with harsh hissing breaths “where is the slut?” she demanded, bloodied optics filling with the darkness that coursed her veins flicked between her sister at arms and the old crone, A fist slammed down on to the table sending a shock wave through it enough to knock the head of her last meal cascading down on to the floor “Did you not hear me crone?” She drew herself up to her full height imposing even in her petite stature. Weapons adorned her waist and thighs but none where drawn, there was no need, the air about her frame began to crackle with the electric darkness she had harnessed many moons ago.

The control she had exhibited for decades peeling away like leprous flesh as every ounce of warmth sucked from the room by the wind that whipped up about her and tossed her hair into the air causing the tendrils to flail about her like medusas snakes. “Answer me harridan!” her voice no longer the soft aural velvet that would tease any man into submission like a sirens call but harsh, volatile and dripping with venomous rage, a hatred older than time it’s self boiling to the surface causing the charade of millennia to fall away in that one swift moment as the twin scars on her pale, bare back split showering any behind her in blood that literally boiled. Two gigantic leathery crimson bat like wings exploded forth, the tips twitching to punctuate her rage. At the same instant the skin of her forehead distended, painfully so, before the twin crimson horns burst through her flesh. The guttural howl that ensued reverberated about the chamber and beyond a bay of pure demonic rage.

Post  Admin Tue Aug 03, 2010 7:56 pm

The Empress glanced towards the arched opening that lead directly into her private gardens as Daemon's words flowed within her mind. She had no doubt of his promise to return in haste and was relieved that the lycan situation was dealt with so easily. Leaving one battle only to fall into another. She thought in annoyance as mercurial depths slid towards the current problem at hand. With a calm she knew not how she possessed Amelee slowly made her way to stand before the apex of the great table. She stared for long moments into the horror struck features of the head before the shock of Rivanna's slamming fist sent it hurdling onto the ground. Then and only then did she lift her head locking her gaze with the raging demoness.

"How could we not hear you, Lady Ambassador?" She asked her own voice coated with the same arctic chill that coursed through her small frame. "I am sure the whole of Eternal and beyond could hear your excessive baying." Amelee would not stand for this, as if there were not enough problems that fell into her lap in a single day! Any moisture within the air would solidify into small chunks of ice only to be flailed around by Rivanna's whipping wind.

"I will have...order...in...the...COUNCIL...CHAMBERS!" Her tone rose in pitch with each enunciated word until her own roar rivaled that of Rivanna's. Her fist then came down like a judge's gavel to slam into the solid mass of the tabletop. The sound of splintering wood reverberated within the room as the lengthy table split perfectly down the middle before falling in upon itself. A flick of her fingers sent the two halves of the massive table to slam into each opposite side of the room. Her path now cleared the Empress lifted the hem of her robes and slowly made her way towards her sister-at-arms. "You overstep your boundaries, my Lady." She spoke, her tone lowering back into a normal tempo yet coated with the icy disdain of her station. "It is I who shall take precedence of this situation. As Fayte is my responsibility." Silvered spheres flicked towards Dante before moving back towards Rivanna. "If you two wish to speak to me outside of the Council Room's political margins then you may seek me out privately. Otherwise no one is to interfere....now if you will excuse me."

Turning Amelee headed towards the great aperture leading into her gardens. The maelstrom within the room had died down yet she suddenly yearned to inhale the fragrant air within her private sanctuary. Taking a moment she allowed her mind to touch upon those of her twin imps. To the Council chambers NOW! There is a job I have for the both of you!

Descending the steps into the garden a sudden chill of revulsion overtook her buckling her legs and almost sending her to her knees. LAC!? Amelee felt her brother's horrific emergence from his abysmal prison. Mercurial spheres raked over the grounds before her. "Lien Tao! Where is he?" She called out to her personal adviser. Always the Empress was aware of the sending of his demonic minions into the upper planes...but this was even more frightening and carrying the taint of his personal self. His essence faded out completely almost the exact same moment it appeared. What is going on here!? "Roan! Where in the hells are you!?"

The Grand Master fluidly flowed over the landscape his new found senses drinking in the wonders of this new Homestone. While similar to the one he had known not so long ago it held its own unique wonders. When allowed he knew it would be time well spent to explore the many faceted mysteries of this new kingdom. The grounds alone would be enough to hold him enraptured for months on end with the impending castle proving to be no less fascinating.

A peace washed over cowled features as the Grand Master glided up the stairs showing the missive to those who guarded the keep. Once allowed entry he would waste no time in navigating a course to the Council Chambers. The missive had instructed that he was to report to the Empress within those walls fortune had also smiled upon him as she was at that moment holding court.

The Grand Master approached the guards stationed outside the massive doors giving them view of his requested presence. While they looked over the documents the sounds of turmoil resonated within as loudly as church bells. Nodding to the guards the Grand Master used his spectral form to pass through the closed doors halting just within the Chambers themselves. Hands would lift pulling back the darkened confines of the cowl to reveal all too familiar features. Bowing deeply to all within the room he would silently await to be addressed.

Full lips pulled back over further protracting serrations to form into an animalistic grin. Condemning crimson depths slid away from Lien Tao to gaze upon the wrathful enticement of his mate. "Rivanna..." Dante growled out as her darkness moved to engulf him as well. It had been long since he had last witnessed such an ravenous change shift over her form. Liquid heat centered within the emptiness of his chest before branching painfully outwards through depleted vessels. As if in imitation with hers his own evil threatened to burst forth from the seclusion of it's slumber. With a strength he did not realize he possessed at this time Dante managed to fight the almost overpowering urge to feed.

Yet, his inner struggles seemed for naught as a moment later the rupture of Rivanna's leathery wings sent a spray of heated vitae to paint across his features. Like a creature starved Dante's head fell back upon his shoulders to allow the sanguine fluids free flow past parted lips. Not the Empress's outburst nor the destruction of the council table moved to penetrate through his salacious mind as the crazed hunger finally overcame him. Reaching out an arm clawed digits seized his mate's shoulder in order to spin her around to face him. Venom like ichor seeped from hollowed daggers to coat over his lips. "I am ready for the feast, my love." He snarled stepping into her and lowering his head slowly towards her flesh.

It was that instant so close to complete bliss that agony washed over his frame. It felt as if the air itself were sucked from his lungs while an invisible pressure worked to crush him. Had he not been holding onto the demoness he would have collapsed shamefully onto the ground. This feeling was well-known something he had grown and lived with for almost a millennia. "Father..." His gasping tone dripped with absolute and utter hatred. How did that creature manage to find its way back to the surface?... Blazing crimson hues flicked towards the opening of the secluded gardens as if attempting to look past the massive wall.

Mere moments passed and the feeling of compression eased completely as did the presence of Lac. "No!... He cannot be gone yet!?" Clawed digits curled as if readying to rip through his sire's putrid features. We have a score to settle, DAMN YOU! Spinning away from his mate he would make his way towards the outer sanctuary.

Council Chambers Empty Re: Council Chambers

Post  Admin Tue Aug 03, 2010 7:56 pm

~The Dark Lord was a great many things...a greater deity...a Lord of the Abyss...a Master Psion to name just a few...it was the latter amplified by the former that came into play as he made his way through the darkness to the Council Chambers. Roan could feel the wide array of emotions surging through the room...all chaotic in nature...all palatable in their own right. He had been deep within his throne room for years leaving the lands to their peace...as much as he hated the fact...Roan knew that his return would bring about an uprising of chaos as balance must be restored...however he had hoped it would not have been this devistating for those he loves...

Just as the darkness began to peel away her thoughts rose up...they held so much depth of emotion that they practically slammed through his consciousness drowning out all else. He nearly had to take a step back from her as the full impact began to settle in causing his own chaos to rise...milky orbs began to narrow as jaw muscles worked and though he held her in such a way that she could not see...a deadly intent was clearly written over his features~

    'This will be discussed...later...'

~An icy chill accompanied his words as they linked to Trinity's mind alone allowing her to feel the cold hatred that resonated between himself and the 'one' she so longed to be near. Taking in a deep breath Roan knew that to continue in such emotions would only fuel the fires he had come to extinguish. Even as they appeared within the Empress's private garden's...the Dark Lord called himself back into check...placing the mask of calm patiently back into place.

Only those who knew him...knew him well...would see the flicker of change within his features...but as to their full ability to recognize or realize why the change took place could not be known.

With a final stroke of her hair...Trinity was released from his embrace only to be held at his side with one arm...his hand cuping her hip intimately. Milky orbs focused on each within the room giving a private greeting to those gathered.

The Lady Tao would receive a nod while Rivanna would feel the brush of his mind upon hers...'its been too long my dear...you should not stay away so long...it makes Dante far to grumpy'...a light chuckle would accompany the words as he knew inspite of her deep anger she would still feel his attempt to calm her.

The newest arrival...Grand Master Thoth would also be given a nod of acknowledgement before Roan's gaze would turn to Dante. His head would tilt as he watched the long strides carrying the man near to where he had just materialized. He too would feel the brush of Roan's mind as he spoke directly within...'do not allow yourself too much duress my old friend...the day of reckoning approaches...I will see to it that your vengense will be sweet...'

At last he would settle upon the one who had called him to her...the Empress herself. Reaching out with his free hand...the Dark Lord would respectfully take her delicate hand within his own lifting it to lowering lips that a kiss may be placed on her knuckles~

My dearest daughter...your beauty is as ageless as your wisdom...forgive me for staying away for these many years. Know that while my physical presence may have been absent...my eye was ever upon you as well as these precious lands.

~His gaze never left her as his words washed over her hand in a wave of comforting warmth. Slowly he began to rise...her hand lowering but remaining within his own as long as she would allow it. The honeyed barritone of his voice would now reach out that all within the gardens and chambers could hear~

As for what is happening...I bare the brunt of the chaos that is rocking these lands. As with all things there must be a balance...however...it will not last long...nor will the believed freedom of this...demon Lord. He is no more then a fly...buzzing around with his irritation. Soon all who have been wronged will have their chance for...redemption...

Stars attempt to match her roar was met with naught but a sneer, “Decorum, in these times, you fool yourself dearest sister, and you should know …” her head gave a slight cant to one side as words dropped from lush lips like the venom from a vipers fangs “That my tantrums have never been surpassed by you or anyone” The air still crackled around her alight with electricity yet the dark humour of old still remained denoting her rage was not directed at her oldest friends. Her gaze then turned to the old woman and she simply sneered, flaring her nostrils she snorted and her top lip curled into a grimace the scent on her was rancid. Vicious maw parted to form more insults when Dante stole her attention away his touch upon her hungering flesh momentarily distracting her from the situation until his frame lost composure and that word burned her ears as if acid had been poured on them.

Fayte and Lac … and the happiness harpy. The arrival of her mother had not gone unnoticed but it was the least of her worries at this time. One hand shot to Dantes rear talons lightly scraping the fabric that covered the tantalising flesh beneath a usual action but this time it was to steady his frame rather than to amuse herself. He turned and made his way towards the door and she too spun on spiked heels Fayte had waited for this long she could wait just a little longer.

Roans mind teasing the periferals of her own caused a small growl to emit from those lush demonic lips as she strode passed him in recognition of her friends return, but this was more important. A vendetta as old as time its self her enraged mind reached out to her mother along the spiders thread that connected her entire family “Get Thea inside harpy NOW!”

It is said, distant waters will not help to extinguish a fire close at hand.

The Lady Tao took all within her graceful stride. Not even the Demoness’s outburst would cause the lose of a gentile dignity. She would patiently hold her place at the Empress's side watching each incident unfold according to design. From Rivanna's outburst to the awareness of Lac's presence even to the inevitable entrance of the lands reining Deity. All would be met with the same tranquil serenity she displayed to any task.

Delicately placed footsteps would carry her to the Empress's side even before she was called there. Her timeless gaze became distant as she looked beyond the garden walls. The rise and fall of her chest was measured from beginning to end. Her words were whispered that only the Empress may here but there was an obscure urgency in its message.

"He was never fully with us. The chains that bind the Demon Lord remain in tact. He used anthers form to steal away one born under your protection. This one will be a minion, a shell that he may venture out of his cage. Great chaos will ensue but keep your wits about you and keep those you hold dear close. None shall take thy kingdom.

There is more Amelee. Heed my words for they shall not be repeated. What I tell you now is forbidden but I deem you worthy of its knowledge. All you have believed to know shall be undone. A false brother born is not blood of thy blood but a thief called to assassinate. In truth thy true blood lives and even now remains as close as the fates original design."

Fathomless depths turned to behold the cherished woman. Each word uttered a turmoil as she fought against a well spring as old as time. Lien Tao had defied her make up to bestow this knowledge and the price would equal the wrong. Lids fluttered at the finality as delicate digits outstretched seeking a hand hold.

Post  Admin Tue Aug 03, 2010 7:57 pm

The moment the depositing shadows had peeled away from our forms I realized my mistake. I had allowed my deepest and most cherished emotions to cloud my mind above all else. The realization coupled with the shock of understanding within the dark lord slammed accusingly into my thoughts. I should have known better, should have used caution. This was not my world, not my time. I was at the whim of whatever the fates had in store and I had to be on guard against even that of the greater deity himself.

My head bowed in complete obeisance at his words to me. As you wish, my lord. With that golden depths would rise scanning curiously over our surroundings. The private garden was a setting of calm serenity compared to the chaotic confusion taking place just within the council chambers. Even through the span of so many years the sight of what met me now was almost no different then what I was met with then. The council table was split asunder and what had been left was shattered against opposite walls. Raging minds and flaring tempers. Was this not the usual happenstance?

A smile would have curbed against my lips had I not already known the series of unfortunate events that would soon be conceived. I would give each and every face within a quick cursory glance pausing only at that of the Empress and Lien Tao. "My lord..." Whispered words addressed Roan as I stood close against his side. "There is much to be done here and I do not wish to interfere in any way."

He would know what I had truly meant with those words. I did not want to blurt or say anything, that should yet remain unsaid, on accident. It had already been proven that I had trouble guarding against my very own thoughts after all. "I shall meet you within your private study when you are finished here for our private discussion." Tapered digits would lift to caress lovingly against his cherished features as the mists swirled slowly around me drawing me back within the shadow's sweet embrace.

Powerful wings beat the air sending rhythmic gusts of wind down upon his brother. The Abysmal General would waste no more time in reaching his kitten. Daemon also felt the arrival of the Master which brought further urgency to his flight. Talon's gripped Kaden's sides as he was held nearly straight out at arms length. Much like an errant child would be carried to its parent should they be throwing the proverbial fit.

Daemon's wings cut inward causing them to slice up over the wall then dive straight down to an unoccupied spot a mere foot from where the Master stood. Azure optics fixed upon the kitten sending her his strength and devotion then darted back to the ground just in time. With all the force of the dive the Abysmal General would attempt to push Kaden prone face down into the ground. If successful his knee would bend directly within the center of his brothers back and he would bow before the Dark Lord.

"My Master you have been deeply missed. My brother and I honor your return."

Bastardly handsome features though remaining downcast took on a mischievous grin at the sight of his brother. Kaden was after all right where he belonged..beneath him.

Post  Admin Tue Aug 03, 2010 7:57 pm

    (Continued from Resident Chambers)
Though he knew better, Raven wouldn't help but to feel utterly useless in this situation. A voice in his head was trying to convince him even though he knew better that he wasn't worth anyone's love. That he had failed in everything thus far. Making him paranoid that those that he had stayed with wouldn't want anything to do with him since he failed to protect Maybelle. An older brother's duty is to protect their youngers! He failed GLORIOUSLY in that task! Not only THAT but it was HIS fault that Leo II and Saffron got hurt as well... Perhaps another reason why he didn't want say too much in front of Saura...

He had sighed as he reached the Council Doors, leaning his head against the wall as he had to recompose himself and stop the silent tears. They likely know Lac's presence was on the loose, but he was a witness to what and where. So was Saffie, Leos and Maybelle. General has enough to deal with for now that he should focus on his family. LeoII was out for the count and Saffie is resting. Of the two with psionics that would have picked up that the lycan was only a puppet on a string, posessed was him and Maybelle. Maybelle's fun meter was pegged and she may have been too young to remember. He wasn't sure. However there is no excuses for Raven.

Buckle up, gather your strength and stop the tears. They won't stop whatever punishment is coming your way for your failure, so be strong and take it like a man. Taking a deep breath Raven straightened himself up and gazed at the door. Best to get on with it and maybe be able to earn redemption if it is allowable.

Was grandfather in there? What was he gonna think when he hears of my failure if it wasnt' already known? His teacher and beloved Grandfather... His and Maybelle's... He was about to run as it was, but Raven paused, hessitating in that. As much as he was afraid of being rejected, maybe it won't be as bad if he has the courage to face it head on than to try to hide from it? (Granted that it is Raven's paranoia running ragged...)

No turning back now, Raven had opened the door, intending to step through. There was just about everyone. Now that he was here, it was able to face the unknown and deal with it. "Greetings," Raven spoke with respect trying to cover the shot nerves. "Please forgive my intrusion, I thought it would be the best idea all day to come directly with a report while it is fresh in my mind. It is about Lac."
